Stampin' Up! Inspired Thoughts Sympathy Fancy Fold Card

TGIF, peeps, and welcome to my Friday Fancy Fold.  I'll show you all sides of it and then tell you what I used.

I used the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder for the 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Basic White cardstock that serves as the base.

The shaped part of the card is from Spellbinders Nestabilities Mega Dies, which you can find on Amazon. We made the purple part at our card group Thursday and I'm not sure of the stamp company for the iris, but there are lots of iris stamps out there!

The front sentiment is from SU's Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set

The inside sentiment is from Stampendous and is available on eBay, I think.

The embellishments are Gorgeous Grape from the Glossy Dots Assortment.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a great weekend.

Stampin' Up! Soft Seedlings for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I created this card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. Can you guess if our challenge is theme oriented, color oriented or sketch oriented?

Did you guess correctly? I bet you did!!

I chose my colors with the help of Sunday Stamps Weekly Challenge SSC291 - Autumn Rays.

The colors I used are Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Merry Merlot and Blackberry Bliss.

The technique is called Joseph's Coat and my friend and upline, Mary Deatherage, has a pdf and video to show you how it's done. It was fun to CASE her card!  I did this technique back in 2019, but it was totally different than Mary's way. If you'd like to see my card, it's here.

Stampin' Up! Brushed Brass Butterflies on Quilled Cross

It's technique Tuesday morning! My card today is one that we made in our Thursday card group. Sue M. provided the materials from Hobby Lobby: Quilled Creations Combing Technique Quilling Kit and Quilling Paper. To create the cross, you can use a comb or a special quilling tool. I used my onion holder slicer that I got years ago in a kitchen shop.

I absolutely loved the patterned paper from Studio Paper (Faith Words) from Hobby Lobby. The Brushed Brass Butterfly made the perfect hiding spot of the pieces joining together. The card base is Basic White with a mat of Soft Suede cardstock.

Now, I just need to tell you that I no longer believe the adage "if you haven't used it in a year, get rid of it because you won't use it in another year." LIE!!!! I gave away all my quilling paper to Good Will!!! I wonder if it's still there? No, I'm not going to check. I will borrow from Sue...lol!

The inside is very simple but quite profound.

Thank you for stopping by today and wish me luck in creating more cards with the combing technique! I'll keep you posted!!

Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin Kit Anniversary Card, et al

Welcome to September's first Monday Morning Makeover Madness. I had many kits left over from my card group and classes so I decided to pack up my old kit bag and rid myself of a lot.

As an aside before I show you the makeovers, do you remember Spike Jones or the song Pack Up Your Troubles in Your Old Kit Bag and Smile, Smile, Smile? It was from the World War I era (I wasn't alive but my parents were!) I remember listening to it as a child on the Victrola (bringing back memories for anyone?)

Okay, enough nostalgia...on with the cards. I will show the makeover card first and the original next to it where possible.

If you want to read about the originals, just click on their pic and it will take you to that post.

Second makeover...

Third makeover...

Fourth makeover...

Fifth makeovers...

and the original

If you have any questions about what I used for the makeovers or if you would like to see the insides, just leave a comment with a way to get in touch with you.

I do love makeovers, but I especially love cleaning out my old kit bag!

Thank you for stopping by today and be sure to help yourself to some M & M's.

Stampin' Up! New Home Card

Good Saturday morning, peeps. My card today is one I created for my daughter and son-in-love. They just moved from upstate NY to eastern TN and had a brand new house built. The moving van just arrived yesterday so they will be quite busy settling in. They have already made memories since living in the house with no bed and no sofa. The moving company lost their sofa! At least my card arrived on time and the post office didn't lose it!!

I used Gorgeous Grape cardstock for my base, Very Vanilla cardstock and the retired Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder for the front panel. The Designer Series Paper is the retired Botanical Butterflies.

For the inside, I used a die from the Scalloped Contours Dies to create the frame (more Botanical Butterflies DSP) for the computer printed greeting. That is also cut with the same die package.

I'm entering my card in the Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge and  Inkspirational Challenge #273.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will be having a great weekend and that you will become one of my followers. I'm still trying to get that number from 85 to 100 by the end of the year!

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Deer for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I created this card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. Can you guess if our challenge is theme oriented, color oriented or sketch oriented?

Did you guess correctly?
Welcome to our weekly hop! If you came from Jaimie's blog, thank you for visiting me! If you just are beginning with me, the list of hoppers are at the bottom. You are in for a real treat!

I began with a Real Red cardstock base, adhered a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper, then a piece of Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper. Measurements are listed below.

The sentiment from the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set is stamped on a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock and is inked with VersaMark and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. I punched it out with the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch.

I added two Gold Holly Leaves and a Pearl Basic Jewel, which I colored with my Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends. I adhered the sentiment with Dimensionals.

For the inside I used the Very Best Occasions Stamp Set, Mossy Meadow ink, Very Vanilla cardstock and my Real Red Stamp N Write Marker.

Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. Thank you for stopping by and hopping with us! I hope you enjoy all the creativeness.

Stampin' Up! Wild & Sweet Get Well Card

I've got some W's for you today because it's Wednesday! Hope your week has gone smoothly so far.

I used the raccoon from the Wild & Sweet Stamp Set to create my card for today.

Oh, my goodness...does the background look familiar? I'm not even going to say it's a cut, stack and shuffle because it's not! I used retired DSP that I cut to the same size as the cut, stack and shuffle template and adhered them to a Basic Black mat, which is adhered to a Basic Gray cardstock base.

Using the Wild & Sweet raccoon, I stamped on a square of Basic White cardstock. He's stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the grass is stamped in Mossy Meadow. I used my Stamparatus so that I could just ink one portion at a time. I used the reflection technique and my silicone sheet after I had colored the water with blending brushes. I sponged the top and side edges with Balmy Blue and Pool Party inks to create the sky.

The sentiment is from the retired Harvest Hellos Stamp Set.

Now, those who know my sense of humor will get the subliminal message of this card and why I chose this animal. Did you catch it?

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our Thursday Inkin' Blog Hop.
