Stampin' Up! Meets Tim Holtz

Happy Thanksgiving, peeps. I was hoping to do a throwback Thursday but I got stuck working with the non-working alcohol inks. This turned out a little better than yesterday's card but all the inks have gone into the circular file! Take a look see...

I had a mashup of items on my desk so I put them together with the Tim Holtz Layering Stencils Autumn Collection and his alcohol inks.

The fussy cut leaf is from the Artistic Leaves Stamp Set and is stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink on white cardstock. It's raised up with Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Prairie Grass Stamp Set and is stamped in Old Olive ink.

The dragonflies are from the retired Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies and Birds embellishments. The Rabbit's Foot Fern is from a package I inherited and has no company name on it.

Here's the inside...

The sentiment is from the retired Comforting Thoughts Stamp Set and is stamped in Cajun Craze ink to match the cardstock. The dragonfly is from the Little B embellishments.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Stampin' Up! Thanksgiving Place Cards for the Creative Creases Challenge #109 Anything Goes with a Fun Fold

Welcome to our Anything Goes With a Fun Fold Challenge. If you haven't played at Creative Creases Challenge before, what are you waiting for? Hop on over to Challenge #109. We'd love to see your fun fold creation. Here's one of mine...

Now, why did I say, "one of mine"? Well, because ...

 and ...

Yes, my sister-in-law and I will be eating at my daughter and son-in-love's house, along with his mother for Thanksgiving.

Here's a side view of mine...

I'm not sure what I will place inside yet. I know Gene would love to have my homemade baklava but I usually cut that into diamond shapes. We shall see!

My projects were inspired by Lori deGroot. Here are the measurements in inches:

  • Base: 3 1/2 x 5 3/4, scored and folded at 1 3/4, 3 1/2, 5 1/4; put glue on smallest fold
  • DSP: 3 x 5 7/8, scored and folded at 1 3/4, 3 1/2, 5 3/8; hide seam, put adhesive on outside small flap and wrap around base
  • Strip of Very Vanilla for name banner
  • Decorate with pumpkins, maple leaf, acorns, etc.

Thank you for stopping by today and I can't wait to see all the creativity from the team.  Be sure to check us out at CCC#109 and we hope to see your entry there! Remember, you have a month to participate.

Stampin' Up! Happy Thanksgiving Gnome Card

Good morning, peeps. The only parts of this card today are the card stock and the die cut. Let me show you...

The patterned paper and the gnome are from Kendra Morgan's Global Gratitude Digital Cardmaking Kit. I love them both and hope you do too!

The die cuts are from SU's retired Word Wishes set and I cut them from Basic Beige card stock. Mango Melody was one of my favorite oranges and it's so useful to make cards with a Tennessee Volunteers theme. There'll be more of those down the road.

For the inside, I used a computer generated message...

I'm not sure from where the message came as I just happened to find it on my computer when I searched for the word thankful. So, I hope whoever deserves the credit sees this.

As You See It has a harvest theme for their challenge and I think the gnome scene represents a harvest of mushrooms. I hope they agree!

 challenge #360

I also hope you'll be back tomorrow for our Creative Creases Challenge...you won't be disappointed if you are a fun fold lover. Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin' Up! Rustic Harvest

Good Monday morning, stamping friends. I finally used up this pattern from the Rustic Harvest DSP package. I think that's what I'm going to be doing...using my DSP and ridding myself of the hoarding complex. Let's see how long that lasts...lol! Truthfully, I don't have enough years left to deplete the 3' stack!! I'm donating these to a church craft fair so they are already packaged.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope to see you tomorrow for our SU Demo Fun Fold Hop.

Stampin' Up! Rustic Harvest Fun Fold

It's another fun fold Friday for my stamping friends. This one came along quite by accident. I had cut my base incorrectly so I had to improvise. I can't give you measurements because I was flying by the seat of my pants and kept making mistakes! Here goes...

What I can tell you is what I used to make this "M"istake fold! Here's a look at the "M"...

Stampin' Up! Gather Together Birthday

Happy Throwback Thursday, peeps. I made this card today...

and this one 2 years ago...

I think I like today's better so I'm entering it in the Double Trouble Challenge #202 3-2-1 Shades of Fall. Here's a little bit about that challenge...

 and more specifically...

Shades of Fall
Servings -  Unlimited portions of fun.
Ingredients
AT LEAST

3 Colors in shades of fall
I have chosen Cajun Craze, Timid Tiger, Calypso Coral, and Old Olive along with dabs of Daffodil Delight and Pecan Pie for my colors.

2 Images
The two images are the pumpkins and leaves, along with the splatters on the side AND the sentiment.

1 Stenciled or dry-embossed element
I embossed the pattern with a retired SU EF and used the debossed side.

For the optional twist, Twisted Sister Thing 3 has asked to include any seasonal fruit or vegetable in the design. I know she loves pumpkins so that was my choice. I had gourd patterned paper someplace but unfortunately, I was out of my gourd (slang from the 60's for you youngsters meaning delusional). In reality, I have no idea where that paper is and I'm not about to go looking for it in the 3' high stack of patterned paper!

As for Thing 2 Double Dare's optional dare, she has offered up the sketch at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #681. I took liberties with the sketch ...

BUT, I also used her other offering... to play along at the Pearly Sparkles Challenge #112. This challenge requires pumpkins and or leaves. I might be an over achiever on the Double Trouble Challenge!

The chart below shows the product I used.

Project Details—All Products SU! Unless Otherwise Specified

Stampin' Up! Amber Autumn Thank You Card

Hello my stamping friends! Welcome to our monthly Amy's Inkin' Krew hop. Our theme for this month is "Giving Thanks" and we can  use any product we wish. Here is what I created for it ...

 Let's take a closer look...

My card base is Cajun Craze card stock with a mat of  Very Vanilla. The foliage die cut is from the Amber Autumn Dies. I used the Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper.

I used Early Espresso card stock and the Everyday Arches Dies for the flap. The acorns and sentiment are from the Amber Autumn Stamp Set. I colored the leaves with Light & Dark Cajun Craze and Timid Tiger Blends. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink.

Flip up the flap (say that 10 times fast!) and you see this...

Again, I used the Amber Autumn Stamp Set for the sentiment. You must all recognize the retired oak tree from the Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set. There is one similar in the current Loveliest Tree Stamp Set. I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso and the tree in Basic Beige.

On to the last flip...

I stamped the sentiment from Amber in Early Espresso and the acorn leaves in Basic Beige from the Lovely as a Tree. The paper is some I had from Office Max. score

Measurements:

Card Base:5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4

Very Vanilla: 5 1/4" x 4"

Foil: 5" x 3 3/4"

Flap: 3" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"; 3rd largest die with straight edge laid just above fold

Sentiment arch:  4th largest die

Stampin' Up! Artistic Leaves Birthday Card

Good morning, or whatever time it is in your neck of the woods. I am sad to say my hummingbirds have left but then that's a sure sign of fall. I'm not sure whether I should bring my feeders in or leave a couple out for migrating stragglers. What say you?

I think today's card is mostly fallish in color. The woman it is for LOVES orange from her hair to her clothes!! Take a look see...

I'm entering my card at Crafty Gals Corner, their challenge #270 is fill in the blank "Fall .....".  I'm also playing at Pammie's Inky Pinkies 2539 Halloween/Fall.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our Creative Creases Challenge.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Autumn Birthday Card

Welcome to the last day of September! Fall is in the air and I have many fall birthday cards to create. Here's my first one...

Over at Crafty Gals Corner, their challenge #270 is fill in the blank "Fall ______".  I'm also playing at Pammie's Inky Pinkies 2539 Halloween/Fall.

My design is based on the sketch at Sunday Stamps challenge 370 Squared Away.

My card base is Cajun Craze (5 1/2" x 11", scored and folded at 4 1/4"). The panel of Timeless Plaid DSP measures 5 1/4" x 4".

The Calypso Coral frame was cut with the third largest Textured Notes Dies. I stamped a scrap of Basic White with Block A inked up using Olive Green and Granny Apple Green Stamp N Write Markers and a spritz of water. I cut them out with a 1" square punch (retired). They are adhered with liquid glue.

The leaves and acorn are stamped in Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Beige inks. They are cut out with the Autumn Punch Pack (retired) and adhered with Dimensionals.

The sentiment "Have a Beautiful Day" from the retired Beautiful Autumn Stamp Set is stamped in Basic Beige ink and sponged with Tip Top Taupe (retired).

For the inside...

The sentiments are from the retired Sending Smiles Stamp Set and the shadowed image is from the Artistic Leaves Stamp Set. I used Cajun Craze and Calypso Coral inks.

Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed day.

Stampin' Up! Make Over Monday Layered Leaves Paper Pumpkin Kit

Good Monday morning, peeps, and happy first day of fall! I made this card in November of 2017...

and I made it over for today...

I used the Layered Leaves September 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit mostly but you will see additional products in the chart below.

Here's a view of the inside...

I made eight of these for our church shut-ins and it's the first time I have ever done assembly line cards. Six were different and two matched one of the others. Would you like to see them? Let me know and I'll post them Thursday!

Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate your visits and comments.

Stampin' Up! Pastor Appreciation Card

Good Sunday morning, peeps! This month is not only Agent Orange Awareness Month but it's Pastor Appreciation Month. So, I've covered both bases with my card today. Take a look see...

My card base is Pumpkin Pie Cardstock with a panel of Splendid Autumn DSP. I stamped the sentiments from the retired Thoughtful Branches stamp set in Pumpkin Pie ink and added 3 birds from the Adhesive Backed Dragonflies and Birds.

For the inside...

I had adhered the strip of Splendid Autumn to a piece of Very Vanilla and stamped it with my large Pumpkin Pie ink pad. There was something wrong with the pad and it came out in globs. So, I cut the panel down, stamped the sentiment again in a spot of Pumpkin Pie. I do like the little spots. The sentiment is from the retired Happy Thoughts stamp set.

I have the most wonderful pastor and I truly appreciate him...not just in October! My heart goes out to any person diagnosed with Agent Orange cancer.

Thank you for stopping by today and I might surprise you with another card on Wednesday.

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge 2339

Hello my stamping peeps! Welcome to another challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies. I'm using a digital provided by our sponsor for this week, Jan's Digital Stamps, and I colored this one with my Stampin' Up Blends. The title of this digi is Pumpkin Blessings.
I used a stamp from the Colors & Contours Stamp Set for the side leaves on Mossy Meadow Cardstock. The "Happy Birthday" is from the Very Best Occasions Stamp Set.
For the inside...

The sentiment and pumpkin are from the retired Gather Together Stamp Set.
Thanks for stopping by today and a big THANK YOU to Jan. Do stop by to see what she has in her store. Jan is offering a $6 gift code to the random winner. So, please join us at Pammie's!

Stampin' Up! Soft Seedlings for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I created this card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. Can you guess if our challenge is theme oriented, color oriented or sketch oriented?

Did you guess correctly? I bet you did!!

I chose my colors with the help of Sunday Stamps Weekly Challenge SSC291 - Autumn Rays.

The colors I used are Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Merry Merlot and Blackberry Bliss.

The technique is called Joseph's Coat and my friend and upline, Mary Deatherage, has a pdf and video to show you how it's done. It was fun to CASE her card!  I did this technique back in 2019, but it was totally different than Mary's way. If you'd like to see my card, it's here.

Stampin' Up! Soft Seedlings for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a color challenge. Links to the team hoppers are at the bottom of this post.
I used the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set, Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper and the Baby Wipe Technique to create my fun fold. Measurements are listed after the hoppers below.

The baby wipe technique is all the rage with this particular stamp set. It certainly did lend itself well to using Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow ink refills! The sentiment is stamped in Cajun Craze and I adhered three Champagne Basic Jewels.

I was inspired by Lisa Brown for the fun fold. This card was so easy to create...  take a look see...

I created my own background again using the ink that was left on my silicone craft sheet, like I did here. It came out a little dark so I had to stamp the sentiment in Cajun Craze a number of times. It's easier to see in real life.

Because you know I love fun folds, I'll have another one for you tomorrow. Do come back! If you aren't a "follower", I hope you'll become one. Just click on that button and I'd love it if you would subscribe as well.

Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. Thank you for stopping by and hopping with us! I hope you enjoy all the creativeness.

Stampin' Up! Fern & Flora Friendship Card

Good Thursday morning, peeps. Today I am finally using items that are new but I haven't used AND I'm using some old. Take a look see...
