Stampin' Up! Soft Seedlings for the Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop

 

Welcome to another Inkin’ Krew monthly blog hop! Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products. This month we are all creating projects with a “Fall Frenzy" theme. I used the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set in addition to other SU stamp set and dies. 

I was watching Lisa Freeman do the baby wipe technique with the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set and it jump started a brain cell or two. You might say it created a frenzy. Take a look see in the order that I used the baby wipe "ink pad"...

The cardstock I used was Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Blackberry Bliss, Mango Melody, Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry and Basic White.

For the last card, I lifted the baby wipe and saw there was a puddle of ink on my craft mat so I laid the Basic White panel in it to create the background and then stamped the Thank You and leaves. I added five Blackberry Bliss retired gems. Because of the background, I'm entering my card in the Allsorts Week Challenge 688/9 with Lorraine's Create Your Own Background Theme.

Stampin' Up! Slimline Birthday Card

Stampin' Up! Colors

Today's card is a multiple created with "cleaning out my stash" cardstock. This is paper from The Mariposa Mat Stack I bought at Joann's back in 2012! I decided to turn it into note cards because there are people who want to just write their own notes and not have any stamped sentiments. I'll be selling this at our Craft Fair in November as a package.

For card bases, I used Stampin' Up!'s Cajun Craze, Basic Black and Daffodil Delight. For the mats, I used Pale Papaya, Basic White, Basic Black and Cajun Craze. On the inside I just adhered mats of Basic White. These will be great for a butterfly fanatic! The whole stack is butterflies with different patterns. It will take forever for me to use them as I have two pads.

Stampin' Up! Slimline Cards

Good morning, peeps, and welcome to my Slimline Saturday! If I make slimline cards, will it help to slim my waistline? WHAT??? You say "no"?? Okay, I agree. I think you'll agree that for today and tomorrow I have "slim" on my agenda.

I made this card for my daughter and son-in-love's 7th wedding anniversary. Since the 7th year is represented by copper, I used Copper Foil and the retired Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper, along with the retired Slim Dies, retired Ornate Layers Dies, and the retired Love & Happiness Stamp Set to create their card.

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder. I fussy cut it and adhered it to the Ornate Layers frame. The frame is adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. It was fun getting all those chevrons adhered with liquid glue!

and for the inside...

All the sentiments are from the Love & Happiness set AND I know you know why I did the sponging that way (smile)!

Creative Creases Anything Goes with a Fun Fold Challenge #38 - Stampin' Up! Merriest Moments Christmas Card

Welcome to Fun Fold Friday. Did you notice my post title? I'm on the Design Team for Creative Creases!! It was fun being a Guest Designer for June and July but this is an even better gig! Woo hoo!! Here's my first card as part of Debbie's (a/k/a The Secret Stamper) Design Team.

Thank you, Debbie, for such an honor! So, my peeps, put on your finest Fun Fold hat, come along and play with us! Just click on the logo and you'll be transported!

Oh, and not only play with us, but play with Double Trouble as we are partnering with them from August 4th - August 14th. Below is a summary of their challenges but you are required to only play with Thing 1 who is asking for “Gimme S’More,” which means using more of something – more layers, more colors, more images, etc. Of course, you know I would like you to play with all three! I'm setting a good example by doing just that with my card!

My team mate, Karen Ksenzakovic, was my inspiration for the fold I chose to create. Here are the deets for my card...

• Real Red Cardstock Card Base:  5 1/2" x 5 1/4", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
• Mossy Meadow Cardstock: 5 1/4" x 4" (2) for outer and inner parts
• Basic White Cardstock: 3 1/2" X 2 1/2" (2) for sentiment panels
• Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper: 5 15/16" x 4 1/16" for inner liner; scrap to die cut poinsettias for front; 6" x 2 1/4" for envelope flap (new in the July/Dec 2022 mini catalog)
• 3/8" Gold Shimmer Ribbon: 16"
• Gold Holly Leaves: 3
• Inks: Real Red and Mossy Meadow
• Merriest Moments Photopolymer Stamp Set (old from a previous catalog but carried over!)
• Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder
• Merriest Frames Dies
• Adhesives: Tear & Tape, Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals

I refreshed my memory on how to use the Merriest Moments EF and Dies and I'm so glad I did as I would have probably ruined my dies and possibly my cutting machine. 

I ran one piece of Mossy Meadow through my machine with the outline die that fits nicely into the embossing folder. That became my front piece.  

Then I ran the second piece of Mossy Meadow through my machine with the EF only. Next I ran that embossed piece through my machine with the die that is detailed.

I adhered the DSP to the inner part of the card with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiments on the two Basic White cardstock pieces in Real Red ink. For the inner sentiment, I stamped two holly leaves in Mossy Meadow and the berries in Real Red.  I cut the frames out with another die from the set and adhered them with liquid glue.

Next I ran the ribbon around the cut flap and tied a knot. On the back side, I adhered two strips of Tear & Tape making sure the Mossy Green frame fit perfectly together with the other one (that is not adhered yet!)...also making sure there was no tape in the nooks and crannies that would adhere to the inside of the card! Once my front piece was adhered in place, I lined up the inside piece, face down, with the matching front (back part), put liquid glue on it and closed the back of the card down on it. That insured everything was still lined up. I wish I could do a video but alas I have no equipment and no talent for technology!

Now back to the front...I took two dies from the set and ran them through my die cutting machine picking out a portion of the Boughs of Holly DSP that I thought looked good. I adhered them together with liquid glue and attached it to the sentiment frame with a dimensional. I dotted the gold leaves with liquid glue and slid them under the poinsettia. As you can see, the card can stand on its own.

I decorated the envelope flap and called it a done day! I'm entering my card and envelope in the Christmas Craft Creations July Challenge - Patterned Paper.

So, to see if you were paying attention, some of my product is new and some is old. Let's see if ABC Christmas Challenge "N" is for new, "O" is for old caught that!

Stampin' Up! Very Best Occasions for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

and here is what I created using the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper and the Very Best Occasions Stamp Set.

My card base is Merry Merlot cardstock with a panel of Rustic Harvest DSP. I stamped the Happy Birthday from Very Best Occasions in Crushed Curry on a scrap of Basic White cardstock and punched it with the Double Oval Punch. I punched the mat from a scrap of Merry Merlot. It's adhered with a Dimensional. I also adhered three Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the upper right corner. Card front done, easy peasy!

For the inside...

The envelope flap was treated to a piece of the DSP as well.

Stampin' Up! Carte Postale Merci!

Welcome to mid-week day! I'm taking you back in time today with a card we made at our Thursday card group. Sue L. provided the kit, which included a template for the flower, pre-cut patterned paper and the card base. Take a look see...

I wish I had taken a photo of the template. In any event we stamped it using a big wood mount stamp (2008 French Flair, retired) for the outside. Then we fussy cut it out,  and stamped smaller wood mount stamps from the 2008 Carte Postale Stamp Set (retired) for the inside. Then we scored and folded it. I needed so much help with this one that I can't even begin to tell you how it was done! All I know is I love it and the patterned paper Sue had for us. Origami is not my forte; however, I am quite capable of making these...

Do you remember making them when you were a kid? Do kids today still do that? Did you call them Fortune Tellers or Cootie Catchers? It was the latter for me. Remember the Magic 8 Ball? Oh, what harmless fun to determine our future!

I also remember making belts from gum wrappers...Black Jack, Juicy Fruit, Wrigley's Spearmint, Wrigley's Doublemint, Teaberry, Clove and Beeman's...I had them all! Wish I still had the belts! Every time my uncle from Massachusetts would visit, he'd bring me a bag of gum. Nostalgia!

Stampin' Up! Garden Birdhouses

Good Sunday morning, peeps. Today's card is another that I created awhile back and forgot to post...mainly because I had forgotten to take a picture of it, just like I did yesterday's card! I'm in such a hurry to get cards out in the snail mail...lol! So, I had my friend take a picture of the outside only because the inside was personalized.

My friends moved into a new home and they have cardinals and butterflies flittering about. There is nothing I can remember about the coloring except for the fact that I used Light and Dark Stampin' Blends and the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set for the images. The "Congratulations!" is from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set.  I love the Brushed Brass Butterfly and the cardinal was something I had in my stash.

Stampin' Up! Happy Tails Dog Sympathy Card

Welcome to my Monday Makeover Madness card day. Yesterday I showed you the card I made for my family upon the passing of their cute little Jack Russell terrier mix. Nikki crossed over the rainbow bridge and that gave me the idea to get the bridge out from the retired My Meadow Stamp Set, along with the retired Happy Tails Stamp Set, coordinating retired Dog Builder Punch, and the retired Pampered Pets Stamp Set. I used the Into the Clouds Embossing Folder for my background. Other than that, the card is put together the same as yesterday's.

For the inside, the punched heart is from the Heart Punch Pack.

I hope I won't have to use this card for quite awhile and that I'll even get to sell it in our November Craft Fair.

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge #2231 is an ATG so I will enter my card in her challenge.

Stampin' Up! Pampered Pets Sympathy Card

Good morning, peeps! I lost my furry granddogter on July 4. She went to be with her brother, Rascal, and her kitty cousin, Tini...along with many other fur babies we've all had over the years.  I made this card for Nikki's parents. I drew my color inspiration from the Inkspirational Challenge #270 photo...

My card base is Gray Granite cardstock. I glued strips of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper to a Very Vanilla cardstock mat reflecting the Rainbow Bridge without the bridge. I stamped Nikki in Basic Gray using the retired Pampered Pets stamp set and cut her out with a die from the retired Pets Dies. I colored her with Light and Dark Gray Granite Stampin' Blends. I cut a frame with the Stylish Shapes Dies and adhered her to the corner. Then I mounted the frame with adhesive strips. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I also sponged the edges with Gray Granite ink.

I forgot to take a picture of the inside before I personalized it but it had 5 paw prints for the family with their names and a stamped sentiment from the retired Happy Tails stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Paradise Palms Sunset Thank You Card

Good Saturday morning, peeps. Funny how fast weekends roll around, but also how quickly they roll out to sea. Speaking of sea, let me take you to the beach again!

Although it looks black in the photo, my card base and palm tree are Blackberry Bliss cardstock. I cut the palm tree out with a die from the Palms Dies. The embossing folder I used for the Basic White piece of cardstock is the retired Old World 3D EF. 

Then I sponged another piece of Basic White cardstock with Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point and Blackberry Bliss inks.

The ribbon across the bottom is the retired Blackberry Bliss 3/8" Stitched Satin and the three embellishments are retired Glitter Enamel Dots. I wish I had little shells to adhere to the ribbon instead...maybe on my CASE of this one! Stay tuned!!

I used the Wildlife Wonder Stamp Set for my sentiments and Blackberry Bliss ink. The palm trees are from the Paradise Palms Stamp Set. I used my Stamparatus, Old Olive and Early Espresso Stamp N Write Markers to ink up the stamp.
