Stampin' Up! Itty Bitty Birthday and Bird Ballad Belated Birthday Masculine Card

Hello peeps. My card today is a CASE of my own card here. I used the Bird Ballad Designer Series paper once again and the Stitched Nested Dies but used the sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthday.

Here's the inside...

with another sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthday. I fussy cut the bird in the corner.

That's all for today folks! Time is short and I'm sure it is for you too! But before I go, I'd like to enter my card in the Crafty Friends Challenge #130 Animals/Birds and the Brown Sugar Challenge #298.

Stampin' Up! Power of Hope

I wasn't sure what category this card falls under so I am hoping you will help me name it.

It could be a retirement card? an after-a-divorce card? finishing a radiation or chemo regimen?

Maybe the inside will help you help me decide...

This is a card we made at Meg's in our Thursday group. We used the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper on the front, along with the Power of Hope Stamp Set in the Power of Hope Bundle, which is free during the SAB 2020 with a purchase of $100.

The Magnolia Lane paper has such pretty flowers on most of the sheets so I am entering my card at Crafty Cats Challenge and The Paper Players PP479 where LeAnne has provided a sketch challenge.

Thank you for visiting today and if you have any questions, just ask away in a comment...but don't forget to tell me what you would choose as a theme!

Stampin' Up! Tropical Oasis Get Well for the Thursday Inkin' Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a sketch challenge. I can't wait to see what the other team members created. Hop along with us at the bottom of my post. Here's the sketch...

Image may contain: possible text that says 'Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop February 27 Sketch Challenge'

and here is what I made for it...

I was commissioned to create a masculine get well card and the Early Espresso and Pool Party colors worked well, I think. Plus you can't beat the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper. My card base is Early Espresso. I cut a piece of Early Espresso slightly smaller than the base and embossed it with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder.

The mat and sentiment banner were cut with the smallest Stitched Rectangle die. I used my paper snips to cut the swallowtail end. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set.

I'm entering my card at The Sisterhood of Crafters: Patterned Paper Challenge and Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge.

Here's the inside...

The sentiment is from the Healing Hugs Stamp Set. The palm trees are from the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set. I didn't even have a chance to stage the card as it flew right out of the craft room!

I hope you enjoyed my card today and thank you for joining the hop. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko Sudano. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to the other team members and their projects.

Stampin' Up! The Gangs All Meer Anniversary Celebration Card

Yes, it's "hump day" but I have no camels for you...I have meer cats! Last Wednesday we celebrated the Celtic Ray's 23rd year in Punta Gorda. I had fun creating this one for them...

One day when we were at the Ray, I took some photos that I particularly like to look at when we are there. In my Picassa dinosaur program, I made a collage of just a few so it wouldn't be so cluttered. I printed it out and stippled the white with Real Red as the building is red brick. I hand printed the sentiment and matted it on a piece of Basic Black and adhered it to my card base.

When my son and I go to the Ray, we usually sit in the same seats with the same people so I put their names on the inside. I also used stamps from Praiseworthy Prose, First Frost, The Gangs All Meer, and the retired Amazing You stamp sets. I really like how it turned out.

I'm entering my card in the Repeat Impressions Anything Goes Challenge ~ F2620. One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate! I hope you'll take a minute to visit their site...the DT has come up with some great cards!!

Over at Through the Craft Room Door they have an ATG Challenge and the greeting they are working with is fantastic. Check them out too! Their weekly prize is a $15 Gift Certificate to The Project Bin.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll return for our weekly Thursday blog hop tomorrow.

Stampin' Up! Moon Lake & Artistically Asian Get Well Card

Good morning, peeps! This will be my last card that we made in our card group at Sue's. The stamp set is retired and I gave mine away two years ago so I have no idea what the age is.

This is another monochromatic card on the front. But, because of the saying, I colored the inside stamps from Artistically Asian, another retired set. I'm playing at Retro Rubber #129 ATG because these stamp sets are older than a year.
RRCB 129

The card is a fun-fold that some people have dubbed "M fold" and others a "W fold". Guess it depends on how you adhere the strip. I'm hoping this will be considered 3D so I'm entering the challenge at SUO243. Take a look at their site, they have some really neat projects.

You can just barely see the sentiment lurking inside, which fits the sentiment on the front. The DSP is light enough to write on it so I didn't need to make a panel for the back. If you watch Cindy Braumbaugh's video here, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll give this fold a try...it's fun! If you have any questions, just let me know.

Stampin' Up! Elegant Greetings Masculine Birthday

Hello stampers ... it's an M&M's Monday! Hope you had a great weekend. My card today is a monochromatic masculine card.

This is another card we made at Sue's. She had the two part heart panels cut out for us so all we had to do was adhere one to the other and then adhere it to the card base. She also had the ovals cut for us so all we had to do was stamp the sentiment from the retired 1999 Elegant Greetings set.

When I got home, I finished the inside with a sentiment from the Timeless Tropical stamp set.

I'm playing today at Fusion Card Challenge using the decor photo.

Thank you for stopping by today and may your Monday not be mundane...have some M & M's if it is!

Stampin' Up! Summer by the Sea

My card today is one we created at Sue's in our Thursday card group. I think it quite nicely fits the colors and theme at Just Us Girls Challenge #524 this week.

We stamped the image in VersaFine Onyx Black ink. This stamp set was availabe in 2004. It is very "girly", wouldn't you say? Let's hope the Design Team at Allsorts Challenge Blog thinks so!

I sponged the sky, did the ocean with watercolor pencils, gave it the look of waves with a Blender Pen. The sand was sponged with So Saffron and the sand speckles were done in Crumb Cake with a special tool. The girl's image was colored with Stampin' Blends.

The side strip of shells is a stamp from Inkadoo Fine Line Classics C604, which I cannot find through Google anywhere.

The inside stamp is Verses Rubber Stamp named "Salt of the Ocean", which is still available.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll return tomorrow for a Masculine Monday.

Stampin' Up Thoughtful Prayers Sympathy Card

Good morning my stamping friends. Hope your Saturday will move slowly if that's what you want. It's a sympathy Saturday for me. One of my two favorite eye doctors lost his mother the week I was supposed to see him for my second post op. His mother lived in MI. His family and I share a love for Murphy, NC.

I made a card to send to him and his family. It's pretty much clean and simple and my inspiration came from Fab Friday's sketch #183. As you will see, I did take a little artistic license with it!

My card base is Whisper White with a Basic Black Mat.

I used the Stitched Rectangles die set to cut out a Whisper White mat, a black mat and the sentiment. For the white mat, I used the second to largest, for the black sentiment mat and the sentiment the two next to smallest.

The sentiment on the outside as well as the sentiments and image on the inside are from the retired Thoughtful Prayers stamp set. It's one I'll never part with. I will also never part with the retired Butterfly Thinlits. The butterfly is cut from Black Glimmer paper.

The ribbon is retired Black Silver 1/4" and is glued to a banner of Silver Foil. I added three retired Black Rhinestones. I can see the camera picked up the sticky piece which apparently was hanging off the edge on the top one. I'm leaving it there because I don't want to ruin the card front. If you know of a safe way to remove it, please leave me a comment. Because I have a little "bling" on the front, I've decided to play at Cardz 4 Galz: Challenge #115 Black & Bling.

Here's the inside...

I stamped the tree in second generation Mint Macaron and the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great day. If you have any questions, ask away!

Stampin' Up! Dandelion Wishes Friendship Card

TGIF, peeps! Today is the last of the cards my sister-in-law made when she was here last time. She made it the day I created this one for the 55th Anniversary.

Hers was a friendship card, however, as you can see from the inside. The sentiment is from the Meant to Be Stamp Set.

Drue will be back Sunday. She travels during the winter and stays with friends and relatives in different states to avoid the snowy north...can't say as I blame her!

I'd like this to be my second entry at the Alphabet Challenge "W": Anything You Wish. I know Drue will wish that it would be picked!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope to see you tomorrow.

Stampin' Up! Tropical Chic Get Well for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a color challenge. I can't wait to see what the other team members created. Hop along with us at the bottom of my post.

Image may contain: text

The Tropical Chic Stamp Set came out for this one, along with the Timeless Tulips and Healing Hugs Stamp Sets. The color combo just said "tropical" to me. I had an order for a get well card so I thought I'd create something fairly cheerful...

My card base is Mint Macaron with a mat of Lovely Lipstick.

I brayered a mat of Whisper White with Mint Macaron, stamped the palm branch, from Tropical Chic, in Mint Macaron and ran it through my embossing machine with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. I'm entering my card at the Stinkin' Inkers Challenge "Make an Impression".

Then, on a scrap of Whisper White, I stamped three of the flowers from Tropical Chic. Of course, I don't have to tell you what the colors are (smile) but I DO have to tell you the Lovely Lipstick was second generation. I cut them out with the Tropical Dies.

I took a scrap of Whisper White and stamped the sentiment from Timeless Tulips full strength with Lovely Lipstick. I then cut a banner end.

I adhered the embossed mat to the Lovely Lipstick mat with liquid glue. Then I adhered the banner to that and adhered the Lovely Lipstick and Mint Macaron flowers with liquid glue and the Petal Pink flower with Dimensionals. Later I might add bling to jazz up the centers.

For the inside, I used my Rectangle Stitched Dies to create stitched mats. I adhered them to each other with liquid glue. The sentiment is from Healing Hugs.

Using the flower stamp, I stamped off once in Petal Pink before stamping on the Whisper White mat. I adhered the sentiment mats to that with Dimensionals.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment and I'll get back to you. Even if you don't have a question, I'd love it if you'd leave a comment!

I hope you enjoyed my card today and thank you for joining the hop. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Eva Dobilas. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to the other team members and their projects.

Stampin' Up! Young at Heart Birthday Card

Welcome, stampers. My card for you today is not MY card! It's one my sister-in-law created with my help the day I created this one. Her inspiration came from Karen Page. Today is a busy day for me so I'm taking the easy way out, rather than miss a day of blogging!

and for the inside...

She'll be thrilled to know I entered her card in the challenge at Inspire.Create #064: Movement. She'll be back to make more cards with me next week. Because of the colors she chose, I'm entering it at Repeat Impressions Inspiration Palette Challenge F1920

The House That Stamps Built Inspiration Palette Challenge F1920

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Gala Sympathy Card

The blowing bubbles technique has struck again! You can see my explanation here. Have you tried it yet?

Over at Shopping Our Stash, they are doing a weekly challenge #414 with the theme, The Great Outdoors. There were some ink smudges after stamping with the very juicy Blackberry Bliss Ink so I had some butterflies pre-stamped (Butterfly Gala Stamp Set) and pre-cut. A couple were cut with the Butterfly Duet punch and one was from a retired Embosslit. Who doesn't love butterflies when they see them outdoors!

The sentiment is stamped on a scrap of Whisper White using the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and is punched with the Pretty Label Punch. A second label was punched from a scrap Blackberry Bliss Card Stock, cut in half and adhered as a mat.

The retired Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Set for the inside sentiment almost finished off the card...

...but once again, the juicy ink attacked so another butterfly and strip of the background creation graced the inside! I think it's a perfect cover up, don't you?

Both stamp sets are older than a year (I think from at least 2016!). The Thoughts and Prayers is retired but the Flourishing Phrases is still going strong. Because of that I'm entering this card at the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog RRC128. Their theme is "love" and they want to see red, pink and white. I love three things about this card...the butterflies, the technique and the person it is being sent to is loved. Hopefully the DT loves that red and blue make purple! But there is a lot of pink and white represented too :-)

Thank you for stopping by today.

Stampin' Up! Tailored Accented Blooms Thank You

It's a Makeover Monday once again. Remember my card from our Thursday Happy Inkin' blog hop? Here's a refresher...
and here is how it was made over...
can you spot the differences? I can count five!

So, I made this card in our Thursday card group and it was my inspiration for the blog hop card. The only things I'm sure about the products is that Accented Blooms Stamp Set and the Tailored Tag Punch were used on this one. It's the same Tissue Paper Technique. Here are the differences...

Different fern
Different flower and stem
Different stitch on the art panel
Different colors
Different sentiment

This was a card I created as part of the gift for my friend who lost his mother a few weeks ago. Here is how I finished the inside using the Kindness & Compassion stamp set...

Thank you for stopping by today and playing "spot the differences" with me!

Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams Birthday

Sue L. was our hostess for our card group Thursday. She made a delicious lasagna and here's a photo of her table. I just love the way she decorates!

Today I'm entering my card in the challenge at Creative Knockouts #337 Recipe. Here's the recipe...
1- image
1- sentiment
2- different pattern papers
3- embellies (3 of the same or 3 different items)

and here's my card...

The bee image and sentiment are stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black using Darcie Heater's Hello Honey stamp set, which Sue purchased at the Stamp Fest she and some of the gals attended in Clearwater last weekend.
Darcie's HELLO HONEY Clear Stamp Set pol286 Preview Image

The bee face embellishment is also from the same company. The sentiment is punched with the retired Stampin' Up! Hexagon Punch. We glued that to a scrap of Basic Black card stock and then cut around it.

I'm not sure what companies the two patterned papers are from.  Sue had a die to cut out the embossed mat behind the Stitched Circle Die. I used my Dark Pineapple Punch Blend, Dark Daffodil Delight Blend, Dark Basic Black Blend and Light Smoky Slate Blend to color the image. I added three retired SU Black Rhinestones and a 7 1/2" piece of retired SU Gingham Ribbon before I adhered the mat and art panel to the card front.

When I got home, I pulled out my retired Dragonfly Dreams stamp set to finish the inside.
Image result for dragonfly dreams stampin up
I stamped the bee and sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I colored the yellow stripes with my Daffodil Delight Stamp N Write Marker.

I sponged the edges with Daffodil Ink and added some sponging to cut down on the brightness of the Whisper White card stock. I punched three corners with my SU Detailed Trio punch. I adhered it to a Basic Black card stock mat and adhered that to the card base.

Thank you for buzzing by and I hope you'll bee around again tomorrow.
