Stampin' Up! Spendid Autumn Birthday Card

Good morning stamping friends. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Can you believe we are going into our last week of July tomorrow? I smell autumn coming on but maybe it's wishful thinking caused by my card today!

Take a look see...

 Measurements:

Very Vanilla 4 1/4" x 11, scored at 5 1/2" for Base; 1" x 4" for sentiment; 4" x 5 1/4" for inside

Crushed Curry Embossed Panel 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"

Balmy Blue Mats 2 5/8" x 3 7/8"; 1 7/8" x 3 1/8"

Splendid Autumn DSP one pattern 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"; second pattern 1 3/4" x 3"

Instructions:

  • Emboss the Crushed Curry card stock with Birch Wood 3D EF and adhere to card front
  • Adhere Splendid Autumn DSP panels to Balmy Blue Mats and adhere to card front as shown
  • Stamp sentiment from Artistic Leaves on the 1" x 4" piece of Very Vanilla in Cajun Craze Ink. Cut out with die that fits it (I used a Spellbinders Die). Punch ends with SU Treasured Tag Pick A Punch (retired)
  • Adhere 3 Woven Golden Leaves (retired)
  • Adhere Sentiment with Dimensionals and embellish. I used retired Cajun Craze Dots.

For the inside...

Using the Artistic Leaves Stamp Set, I stamped the sentiment in Cajun Craze and the image in Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie Inks then cut the panel out with the largest die from Textured Notes. (I thought I was using Very Vanilla card stock but the camera did not agree!)

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope the temps will cool off a bit. I still feel like I'm in Florida!

Stampin' Up Dainty Delight Meets Lighting the Way for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came! We have a theme challenge today and here is what I created for our hop.

So, let's take a closer look, shall we?

Yeppers, another lattice card. My first one is here. I made this one a little differently by covering up the top part of the lattice with Designer Series Paper.

The sentiment is from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set and I embossed it in copper embossing powder and edged it with the Copper Clay Stamp n Write Marker. I cut it out with a banner die from Stylish Shapes. I adhered it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. The flowers and leaf stalk are cut with the Dainty Delight Dies. My colors are Crushed Curry, Early Espresso and Mossy Meadow.

The firefly body is cut from Copper Clay cardstock and the wings and tail are cut from Vellum. I colored his "light bulb" with Wink of Stella. For that I used the Lighting the Way dies.

I used the Designer Series Paper for the inside as well. I'm not sure yet if I'm just going to stick a note inside or actually stamp something. What do you think I should do?

That's it for now peeps. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. I hope you enjoy all the creativity. Thank you for stopping by!

If you would like instructions on how I created each card, along with the insides (not shown in this post), let me know in an email or comment with instructions on how to send them to you.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll return on Thursday for our Happy Inkin' blog hop.

Stampin' Up! Eden's Garden Retirement Fun Fold Card

I have a couple of friends who are retiring and I wanted their cards to be totally different. My first one is here. So, for today I used the Nature's Harvest Stamp Set for the sentiment on the front and the Eden's Garden Stamp Set for the sentiment and images on the inside.

My card base is Old Olive cardstock, cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4". I cut a panel of the upcoming Sale-A-Bration DSP, Daffodil Afternoon, 4" x 5 1/4".

Next cut the opposite side of that DSP to a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" square. I scored it at 1", 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 3", 4" and 4 1/2".  Take and fold your DSP so that the part you want on top is the 1" and the bottom fold is the 1", folding it like an accordion or fan. Unfold it and (this part is important...ask me how I know...it's only paper, right?) lay it on your trimmer and cut perpendicular to the folds from the bottom right corner and angling your top right corner off to the edge of your trimmer (about 1 1/2") in order to cut on a diagonal.

Take your paper snips and cut into the center of the top 1" fold up to the next 1/2" fold. Fold it back up again so it's pleated and bend back each side of where you cut to the 1/2" fold. Adhere your curtain to your DSP mat with Tear & Tape Adhesive. I only used it on the top and side.

Create your bow (I used Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8" Reversible Ribbon) and attach it to your curtain with Tear & Tape. Stamp your sentiment directly on the DSP panel and adhere it to your card base.

For the inside, cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock (4" x 5 1/4") and stamped the images from Eden's Garden in the two corners and the sentiment in the middle. I used Pear Pizzazz ink and Old Olive ink.

I'm entering my card at Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper December 2021 Challenge and Creative Creases #21 - Anything Goes with a Fun Fold

The fun fold is one I saw at Beth's Paper Cuts on You Tube.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you are heading into a fun weekend.

Stampin' Up! Plentiful Plants for Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome to another Inkin’ Krew monthly blog hop! Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products. This month we are all creating projects with a “Celebrate" theme. Here is what I created for it...

I CASE'd a card by my friend, teammate, and upline, Mary Deatherage. Measurements can be found at the end of this post.

My card base is Mint Macaron cardstock with a panel of the upcoming SAB (January-February) Daffodil Afternoon DSP. Then a panel of Pale Papaya cardstock. Next a panel of Cork Specialty DSP. I used the Plentiful Plants Stamp Set and Plants Dies. The pot is cut from the 2020-2022 In Color DSP, the macrame hanger is Sahara Sand cardstock and the leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzazz and Evening Evergreen ink.

The sentiment from the retired Well Scripted Stamp Set is stamped on Mint Macaron cardstock in Evening Evergreen ink. I cut it out with a Stitched So Sweetly Die. The bow is a triple loop bow of Linen Thread.

For the inside I used sentiments from the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set, a strip of DSP and an image from Plentiful Plants. I punched one corner with the Detailed Trio Punch.

I'm entering my card at NBUS #33 as I have never used the Plentiful Plants Stamp Set or Plant Dies before. I'm also entering Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper December 2021 Challenge.

Thank you for stopping by today and let's get hopping! Click on the "next" button to move forward to Sue's project. Click on the "previous" button to move back to the project created by Akiko. You can also click on each name listed if you prefer.

Stampin' Up So Sentimental Tropical Oasis

It's another day of staying at home for me. I have not been out in public since March 18 and it has not bothered me. My son does grocery pick up once or twice a week otherwise he would go stir crazy. Our cat, Lord Chesterfield, has been assisting me in the card room.

Chester is not letting me get at my card kits until I put my Ornate Garden Suite away...lol.

My card today uses the Tropical Oasis Memories & More Pack, Tropical Oasis DSP and sentiments from the So Sentimental Stamp Set. This card took all of 5 minutes to create.

The art panel is from the Memories & More pack and I just cut it down to fit the front of a Whisper White card base, which is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". I covered up the written "Mahalo" on it with a strip of DSP I had in my stash.

I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso directly on that strip. I had a Lovely Lipstick stamped Tropical Chic flower in my stash that had been cut with a die from Tropical Dies. I adhered that with mini dimensionals.

For the inside I used another piece of scrap DSP from my stash and stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso. I stamped another flower in Lovely Lipstick ink.

I think I'll be using it for a birthday card and I do like how it came together with that warm tropical feel. I'm pretty sure it'll be going to a woman. With those two thoughts in mind, I'll be playing at Dragonfly Dreams: Make It Feminine and The Paper Players: PP484 - Tic Tac Toe Challenge by Joanne. I have chosen to go straight down the right side.

Thank you for stopping by today and I'll see you tomorrow with a Monday Makeover.
