Stampin' Up! Beauty of Friendship Tomorrow Fun Fold

Hello stamping friends. Today I combined two stamp sets to come up with my title.... Beauty of Friendship and Beauty of Tomorrow. I was inspired by Creative Moments with G for my fun fold. It's similar to the one I made here back in 2020.

I cut a base of Gray Granite cardstock 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Then I cut the two sides strips 1" x 4". I ran them through my embossing machine using the Bark 3D EF. I adhered them with liquid glue.

Next I cut a piece of Merry Merlot cardstock 3 1/4" x 8 1/2", scored and folded it at 4 1/4".  This made like a regular card. I glued the inside of the back flap to the back of the Gray Granite base, centering it between the side strips.

Then I cut a panel of Gray Granite cardstock 3" x 4" and adhered it to the front flap. I cut a piece of Beauty of the Earth DSP and adhered it to the mat. That measures 2 3/4" x 3 3/4".

Using the Ornate Frames Dies, I cut a mat and sentiment which I stamped with one of the stamps from the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set. I used Merry Merlot ink and Basic White cardstock. I adhered them together and raised it up on the card center with mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

I embellished the card with three Silver Metallic Pearls.

I cut another piece of Basic White 3" x 4", stamped the sentiment from the Beauty of Tomorrow Stamp Set in Merry Merlot ink and adhered it to the card base.

Do you have a friend you believe in? I hope so! Do you have leaves that change in your neck of the woods? That's one of the things I miss about not living in the Adirondacks but I don't miss the cold, snow and ice! I know the mountains are calling my name again...Georgia? North Carolina? Tennesee? I wonder which state is just around the corner for me in the future?

Altenew and Stampin' Up Birthday Card

Welcome to Monday Makeover Madness. Remember my Cross Stitch get well card from August 18th? Well, here is my third attempt at using it again. I didn't watch anymore videos because I decided I'd move on to something else and was fairly happy with how this one turned out even though I won't be cross stitching it. I did use the coordinating embossing die.

For the sentiments inside and out, I used Stampin' Up! Happiest of Birthdays Stamp Set.

My colors are Blackberry Bliss for the card base, Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Pacific Point, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen inks. I put the splatters on because I was going to enter a challenge and now I don't remember what it was as I made this last week and just posted it! I do remember I wanted to enter it in Altenew's August 2021 Inspiration Challenge.

Dig in, peeps!

Thanks for stopping by today and if you aren't already, I hope you'll become a follower. As a reminder, my goal is to reach 100 by December 31. On January 1, I'll pick a random number for a prize.

Stampin' Up! Sailing Home Encouragement Card

Happy Sunday to you! My card today was made for a 90 year old Navy Veteran who broke his hip and then contracted COVID during recovery. He and his wife will be celebrating their 69th wedding anniversary this coming week. I don't know him and he doesn't know me but it was a joy making the card for him. I became aware of his situation through one of my FB groups, of which I am a part. Take a look-see.

All product is Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted. My card base is Night of Navy. I stamped the anchor from the Sailing Home Stamp Set with Night of Navy (NON) ink on a panel of Basic White cardstock. The word "NAVY" was something I had in my stash that I purchased years ago. I stamped the sentiment from a Taylored Expressions "Of Thee I Sing" stamp set on scrap white and cut it out with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies. I cut another one out of NON, cut it in half and adhered it to the back of the sentiment. I adhered that to the card front with liquid glue. I still had some Sail Away Trinkets (retired) in my stash so I put a strand of NON/Sahara Sand Baker's Twine (retired) through the anchor and adhered it with glue dots.

For the inside, the first sentiment is from the Taylored Expressions stamp set, the second sentiment and lighthouse from the Sailing Home stamp set and the last sentiment from the Many Messages Stamp Set.

I hope the card will bring a smile to his face. From his picture on FB, he has a beautiful one in spite of what he is enduring.

Have a blessed day, peeps, and thanks for stopping by today. Will there be M & M's tomorrow? Do come back to find out!

"It was the fourteenth night, and we were being driven in the Mediterranean by the storm. About midnight the sailors suspected that we were getting close to land. 28 So they dropped a line with a weight tied to it and found that the water was one hundred and twenty feet deep; a little later they did the same and found that it was ninety feet deep. 29 They were afraid that the ship would go on the rocks, so they lowered four anchors from the back of the ship and prayed for daylight."

Stampin' Up! Still Night Fun Fold Christmas Card

Good Saturday morning, peeps! Hope your weekend is shaping up to be a good one. I have nothing planned except to get my card inventory straightened out for a craft fair in November. It'll be my first one and I have no idea how to prepare. I'm open to suggestions.

My card today will not be part of the inventory as I created it for a particular person in mind. I have used the Still Night Stamp Set and the Night in Bethlehem Stamp set, both retired. I don't know what the name of the fold is but I made the same design yesterday with my penguin card.

This is a totally non-traditional Christmas card so I'm making it my third entry into the Christmas Craft Creations Challenge for August.

The Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper is just beautiful with the touches of gold, isn't it? I used Blackberry Bliss ink for the sentiment and Early Espresso for the image on the Basic White cardstock panel. I rounded the edges with the Detailed Trio Punch. I colored the owl with Light and Dark Crumb Cake Blends, Gray Granite and Pool Party Blends. The tree branch is colored with my Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker. The image panel is adhered to a Blackberry Bliss mat. Measurements and instructions are on my post from yesterday.

I will be redoing the inside of the card as I think the sentiment is a little crooked and I think the camera picked up a halo...agree?

I'm submitting my card to these challenges as well:

Stampin' Up! Party Puffins Happy Birthday

TGIF, peeps! Y'all know I love Mystery Challenges, right? Uh huh, I sure do! My card today was created from Sharon Armstrong's challenge of August 23.

This is my fourth card for the mystery stamping. I haven't posted the other three yet! This one was inspired by Inspired By!

Measurements and instructions:

Thick Basic White Cardstock for Base: 4 1/4" x 7 1/4", scored and folded at 5 1/2". This creates the top flap.

DSP from Pattern Party 4" x 1 1/2"; adhere to top flap

Basic White Cardstock: 2 3/4" x 4" (center art panel) stamped with sentiments and fish

Adhere to Pumpkin Pie Cardstock 3" x 4 1/4"

Using Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere penguin punched with Penguin Builder Punch using the penguin in the Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper

Basic White: 4 1/4" x 2 1/4" for bottom flap (do not glue to card base!)

DSP for bottom flap: 4" x 2", adhere to BW above (do not glue to card base!!)

Adhere top portion of art piece to top flap and bottom portion to the bottom flap you just created

I warned you about the bottom flap because a number of participants glued it to the base! It only gets glued to the bottom of the center panel. If you don't participate in mystery stamping then you might not see how this could possibly happen.

For the inside, make sure the stamps stay within the confines of that center panel!

I think the Party Puffins Stamp Set is so cute! I did not get the Penguin Place Stamp Set and I'm beginning to wonder why!!

I'm entering my card at the Three Muses: Something Fishy,  Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper August 2021 and As You Like It Favourite Wild Animal & Why. My favorite wild animal is the penguin because I love the way they waddle and they are just so cute in their tuxedos.

Did you know penguins are flightless birds adapted to living at sea? Some species spend 75% of their time in the water. Did you know Nancy at Seize the Birthday Challenge #221 picked the theme "By the Sea"?  I did!

Thank you for stopping by today and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I'll get back to you quicker than a penguin can waddle.

Stampin' Up! Nature's Harvest Sympathy Card

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. This week we have a color challenge. If this is your first time here, welcome! If not, welcome back!! Either way, you're in for a treat!!! I used the Nature's Harvest Stamp Set and Harvest Dies to create my card for today.

Here are the colors...
My design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #500. They are celebrating a decade of sketches...that's awesome!

My card base is Thick Very Vanilla. I cut another piece and dry embossed it with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. I sponged that with Crumb Cake ink and adhered it to the card base with liquid glue.

I cut a piece of 2020-2022 In Color DSP (Misty Moonlight) and glued that to the front.

Next I stamped the coneflower image from Nature's Harvest on scrap Very Vanilla using Crumb Cake ink. I colored the flowers and leaves with my Light and Dark Calypso Coral and Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends. I cut it out with the Harvest Dies and adhered it with liquid glue.

The sentiment from Nature's Harvest is stamped with Bumblebee ink and cut out with another die from Harvest Dies. I adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To finish off the front, I added three 2020-2022 In Color Square Gems in the Bumblebee color.

For the inside...

I adhered a Misty Moonlight mat to the base and stamped a sentiment from the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set with Bumblebee ink on a panel of Very Vanilla.

Stampin' Up! Very Versailles and Nature's Harvest Thinking of You

Good mid-week, peeps! Can you believe we are almost done with August? Eek, where is time going??

My card today is a CASE of  Chris Smith.

I chose to use Blushing Bride for the left side of my card (cut with the Basic Borders Dies) and Magenta Madness for the right (covered with a Vellum embossed piece using the Checks & Dots EF). For my flowers, stamped with the Nature's Harvest Stamp Set, I used Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends. For the stems and leaves, I used Light Soft Succulent and Dark Evening Evergreen. The coneflowers are cut with the Harvest Dies. The sentiment from the Very Versailles Stamp Set is stamped with Daffodil Delight Ink on a scrap of Basic White and die cut from the Ornate Frames Die Set. The Gold Foil mat is cut from the same set. I embellished the front with three Gilded Gems.

For the inside, I took the negative part of the flower panel and stamped another sentiment from Very Versailles. I punched three baby dragonflies out of scrap Gold Foil using the Dragonflies Punch.

I'm entering my card in the Just Us Girls Challenge #598

and in the Let's Squash It Challenge #11.

Thank you for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of your week.

Stampin' Up! Whimsical Trees Christmas Card

Happy Tuesday, peeps! My card today was made for the Paper Players Challenge PP555 - Sketch from Laurie. With permission, I CASE'd Ann Schach's beautiful card. She is a member of the Design Team and I hope I did her proud.

If you click on the blue link above, you'll be able to view her card, along with the other DT's and participants in the challenge or you can click on the sketch.

My card is different from Ann's in that I used a different pattern from the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper for the card front, Champagne Foil (retired) for the mat behind the DSP, Champagne Foil for the piece behind the Wonderful Snowflake, Checks & Dots embossing folder for that foil and I sponged the "Joy" banner from the Whimsical Trees. I also did not add the holly or sequins. I colored three Pearl Basic Jewels with my Dark Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends and adhered them. I really wanted to totally copy Ann's card but then I wouldn't have been able to enter it in the challenge!

I'm also entering my card at Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge #556 with the optional theme of "for a lady or a girl" and Christmas Craft Creations: August Challenge - Non-Traditional Colours

I do hope you have time to stop by the challenges today and I thank you for stopping here!
