Altenew and Stampin' Up Birthday Card

Welcome to Monday Makeover Madness. Remember my Cross Stitch get well card from August 18th? Well, here is my third attempt at using it again. I didn't watch anymore videos because I decided I'd move on to something else and was fairly happy with how this one turned out even though I won't be cross stitching it. I did use the coordinating embossing die.

For the sentiments inside and out, I used Stampin' Up! Happiest of Birthdays Stamp Set.

My colors are Blackberry Bliss for the card base, Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Pacific Point, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen inks. I put the splatters on because I was going to enter a challenge and now I don't remember what it was as I made this last week and just posted it! I do remember I wanted to enter it in Altenew's August 2021 Inspiration Challenge.

Dig in, peeps!

Thanks for stopping by today and if you aren't already, I hope you'll become a follower. As a reminder, my goal is to reach 100 by December 31. On January 1, I'll pick a random number for a prize.

Altenew meets Stampendous and Stampin' Up! Get Well Card

Oh, my, I have a mish mosh of stamps going on today. Before I show you my card, I want you to see how it should NOT look!

I used the Altenew Cross Stitch Flower Stamp Set because I wanted to enter Altenew's Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop and the Altenew August 2021 Inspiration Challenge. First the challenge inspiration and then a photo of the stamp set.

Since my first try was a fail, I tried the colors in the upper right corner of the inspiration photo and here is the result.

For this card, Altenew takes center stage, Stampendous upstage and SU stage left!

The  was NOT easy to line up, I have to be honest! I was so nervous I made a smudge. What to do? Get the sponge out and sponge the whole front!

I happened to have a new House Mouse stamp from Stampendous called "Martini Mice" on my desk. I thought how much would it be like a mouse to want to get into a martini glass that had a flower in it. Well, the mouse didn't care about the flower or the martini, he wanted the olive! But, to get to the olive, he had to drink some of the martini so he turned a little bit green around the gills! I love these mice!

The "Feel Better Soon" is a stamp from the retired Harvest Hello Stamp Set. I made this for a friend who is under the weather. She let me borrow her Altenew stamp set. It's the first time I used that set and the first time for the mice so I'm also entering my card at NBUS #29 - Never Before Used Stuff.

For the inside I used the Altenew stamp set for the sentiments and the butterfly image, again cross stitch, still not aligned perfectly. I know it can be done and I will conquer this set before I return it! When you get it lined up, you can cross stitch on it. That's my goal!! I just need to rewatch a couple of videos. There is also a die set that goes with it and I will try that on my next card.

My corners are punched with the Detailed Trio Punch.

Anyway, my friend called to thank me for the card and felt I had done a much better job than she had. She is kind!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our weekly Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! Meets Altenew Sympathy Card

Good Tuesday morning, peeps! Hope your day will be without frazzle! My card today is another that we made at our Thursday card group. The kit was provided by Sue L. All product is Stampin' Up! unless specifically noted otherwise.

The card base is Blushing Bride cardstock with a mat of Basic Black. On the Basic White panel, we stamped flowers from an Altenew stamp set that Sue wanted to try out. She got it for $1 at a sale! I don't know what the name of it was but if you are interested in knowing, please leave a comment and I'll get back to you as soon as I can speak with her. Update: Sue does not know as it was just in a plain bag with the stamps on the acetate. It looked like all the other Altenew packages, just without the cover and name. If you know, leave me a comment please and thank you!

The sentiment is from the retired Rose Wonder Stamp Set. It is cut with a die from the Ornate Frames Dies.

For the inside we stamped more flowers in the corner. Again, I'm not sure what stamp sets were used so if you're interested, let me know.

Sorry my post and info is so short today but my brain has been frazzled the last couple of days. Do you have days like that? Not fun, for sure!

I'm entering my card in these challenges:

Thank for stopping by today and if you have time, check out the Altenew Hop! There are many beautiful sites and sights to see.
