Stampin' Up! Enjoy Life Birthday Card

Good Tuesday morning, stamping friends. I got out a number of retired stamp sets for my card today. I have a friend who LOVES riding and marathons so this card is for him! I hope he doesn't see my blog. His wife might but I know she can keep a secret!! Take a look see...

I was inspired by Lisa Brown's layout and the fact that these In Colors are retiring. My card base is Shy Shamrock with a Basic Black mat. The Basic White panel was cut with a die from Textured Notes (on the Last Chance list). The mats for the white squares are Summer Splash, Petunia Pop, Peach Pie, Shy Shamrock and Pretty in Pink. I will especially miss the purple and pink. The sentiment is from the retired Not 29 Anymore Stamp Set. The images are from the retired Enjoy Life Stamp Set. The squares were cut with the Stylish Shapes dies. I will cry when they retire (hopefully they won't!). I sponged the Basic White with all the In Colors.

For the inside...

The first two sentiments are from the Not 29 Anymore, the third is from the retired Legendary Ride Stamp Set, the butterflies, cyclist and "grass" are from the Enjoy Life set. The butterflies were stamped with retired inks...Elegant Eggplant and Wild Wheat. My friend is a die hard Vikings fan! The "grass" is stamped with Shy Shamrock and everything else is Memento Tuxedo Black.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Stampin' Up! Take to the Sky SU Demos Fun Fold Monthly Blog Hop

Hello my FB peeps! Welcome to our monthly Stampin' Up! Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop! I made this fun fold August 1 but did it in a larger size. You can see it here. Here's the scaled down version for the hop today...

The participating demonstrators are listed at the end of my post. I hope you will choose to hop along. Let me show you the larger photo of my card...

My card basis is Starry Sky card stock (retired) 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".

The inside Designer Series is 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" cut from retired  2022-2024 In Color (Starry Sky).

I cut the front of the base from the center (2 3/4") diagonally to the bottom corners.

Next I cut a piece of Take to the Sky DSP (retired) 5 1/4" x 4", marked the center at 2 10/16" and cut diagonally to the bottom corners. I adhered the smaller triangles to the card front triangles.

For the inside...

I cut a piece of Basic White card stock at 5 1/4" x 4", marked the center at 2 10/16" and cut diagonally to the bottom corners. I adhered the big triangle upside down to the base after stamping it with the sentiment from Unbounded Love

Then I took another piece of Take to the Sky DSP (5 1/4" x 4") and cut diagonally to the corners from the 2 10/16" center mark. I adhered the big triangle to the back of the front. Be sure to have your DSP going directionally when you cut. I lucked out cuz I wasn't even paying attention to the direction that the planes would be on the inside!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will hop along with the list of demos.

Stampin' Up! Geared Up Garage Masculine Birthday Card

Good morning my stamping friends. Can you believe we have arrived at the end of July already? My card today was created for my 17 year old Godson who now owns a red muscle car. For the focal point on my card, I used the Geared Up Garage for a likeness of his car.

It's a CASE of my card that I created back in August 2022! Believe it or not, I had all the parts cut and they were inside the stamp case!

I haven't entered a challenge in awhile so I've decided to play at I Spy with My Little Eye Challenge #28

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our monthly Creative Creases Challenge blog hop.

Stampin' Up! Adventurous Sky Birthday Fun Fold for Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop

Hello my stamping friends! Welcome to our monthly Amy's Inkin' Krew hop. Our theme for this month is "for the boys/men" and we can interpret that any way we want and use any product we wish. Here is what I created for it using the Adventurous Sky Stamp Set (retired), the Adventurous Sky Dies (Last Chance List) and the Take to the Sky Designer Series Paper (Online Exclusive)...at least I think I've got the categories correct!

Let's look at the bigger picture, shall we?

My card base is the new Cloud Cover card stock which measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4".

I adhered a piece of the new Secret Sea card stock to "Z" part of the card. It measures 4 1/4" x  5 1/2" .Then I adhered a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Take to the Sky DSP. To that I adhered another piece of Secret Sea which measures 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" and another DSP piece that measures 3" x 4".

Using a retired Word Bubbles die, I cut the card stock for the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment from Adventurous Sky in Versa Mark and heat set it with silver embossing powder. I adhered it with a Dimensional.

The plane is cut with dies from the Adventurous Sky Dies. The body is Smoky Slate card stock and the wing portion is Brushed Silver Foil. The plane is adhered with Dimensionals.

For the inside...

I cut a piece of Basic White card stock and made masks for the clouds once I had stamped them in Soft Sky (retired) and Smoky Slate (2nd and 3rd generation). I sponged the top portion of the panel with Pool Party Ink.

I stamped the plane and sentiments in Misty Moonlight Ink as I didn't buy the new In Color inks. The Happy Birthday is cut with a die from the above-mentioned set.

Stampin' Up! Enjoy Life Birthday Card

My card today is for a man who loves the Vikings and for the AAA Colorful Challenge #13. First let me show you AAA's Colourboard and then I'll show you my card.

Maybe not exactly the same but I used these inks: Poppy Parade (red); Misty Moonlight (blue); Petunia Pop (purple/pink); Lemon Lolly (yellow); Peach Pie (orange); Lost Lagoon (green/blue). You be the judge...

The palm trees are from the retired Paradise Palms Stamp Set. The bicyclist is from the retired Enjoy Life Stamp Set. The sentiments are from the retired Special Moments Stamp Set.

My card base is Gorgeous Grape cardstock. I cut the image panel out of Basic White cardstock using the largest die from the new Textured Notes die set, which is an Online Exclusive. I taped the edges before I sponged the colors. I sponged the beach at Daytona with Crumb Cake ink. Using Lost Lagoon ink, I attempted to make it look like the surf. The rest of the colors went toward the sunrise. I colored the sun with a Dark Lemon Lolly Blends.

Thank you for stopping by today and do check out the new Online Exclusives that just posted today.

Stampin' Up! Legendary Ride Birthday Card for Amy's Inkin' Krew Monthly Blog Hop

Hello my stamping friends! Welcome to our monthly Amy's Inkin' Krew hop. Our theme for this month is "Celebrate" and we can interpret that any way we want and use any product we wish. Here is what I created for it using the Legendary Ride Stamp Set.

My card base is Thick Basic White with a mat of Pretty Peacock embossed with the Birch Wood 3D EF.

Using the 5th largest Deckled Circle Die (I created this card prior to the Deckled Circle Dies being discontinued), I cut the mat for the sentiment from Lost Lagoon Cardstock. I cut the sentiment from Basic White Cardstock using the 4th largest die. The sentiment from Legendary Ride is stamped in Lost Lagoon ink.

The bicyles are cut with a die from Windmill Fields (retired) from Thoughtful Designs SDSP and Silver Foil. Everything is adhered with liquid glue.

For the inside...

...another sentiment from Legendary Ride stamped in Lost Lagoon.

Stampin' Up! Greatest Adventure Get Well Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came!! We have a sketch challenge for you today and here is what I created for our hop...

As you can see, I flipped the sketch on its side. Let's take a closer look...

I made it into a slimline card because the locomotive and side pieces went beyond an A2 card.

My card base is Basic Gray cardstock that I stamped with a stamp from the Light the Sky Stamp Set. I used VersaMark ink to do that. It measures 8 1/2" x 7", scored and folded at 3 1/2".

My silver foil strips are embossed with the Cane Weave 3D EF. Each one measures 3/4" x 3". The Basic Black strips measure 1/4" x 3". The art panel, which is Smoky Slate cardstock, measures 5" x 3".

For the inside...

I cut a piece of Smoky Slate that measures 8 1/4" x 3 1/4" and stamped the sentiment, from the Sweetly Scripted Stamp Set, in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Thank you for stopping by! Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. I hope you enjoy all the creativity.
