Stampin' Up! Wild & Sweet Get Well Card

I've got some W's for you today because it's Wednesday! Hope your week has gone smoothly so far.

I used the raccoon from the Wild & Sweet Stamp Set to create my card for today.

Oh, my goodness...does the background look familiar? I'm not even going to say it's a cut, stack and shuffle because it's not! I used retired DSP that I cut to the same size as the cut, stack and shuffle template and adhered them to a Basic Black mat, which is adhered to a Basic Gray cardstock base.

Using the Wild & Sweet raccoon, I stamped on a square of Basic White cardstock. He's stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the grass is stamped in Mossy Meadow. I used my Stamparatus so that I could just ink one portion at a time. I used the reflection technique and my silicone sheet after I had colored the water with blending brushes. I sponged the top and side edges with Balmy Blue and Pool Party inks to create the sky.

The sentiment is from the retired Harvest Hellos Stamp Set.

Now, those who know my sense of humor will get the subliminal message of this card and why I chose this animal. Did you catch it?

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our Thursday Inkin' Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! Tea Boutique Thinking of You Card

Today card is a carryover for my Makeover Madness because I didn't leave you any M & M's yesterday!

I made over one of my upline's cards that you can see here. I am not even going to give you measurements and very few how to's because Amy has a wonderful pdf file you can print out. Thank you, Amy!

Let's take a look see at what I changed...

I used the same Tahitian Tide base from the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes. I cut a mat of Starry Sky cardstock and then a pattern from the Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper using a Stitched Rectangle Die. I used a smaller die from the same set to cut out the sentiment and its mat. I used a sentiment from the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set.

Before I glued the DSP and its mat to the card front, I wrapped a piece of Tahitian Tide 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon around it and tied a bow. Next I offset the sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals on the rectangle that matched the card base. I added two 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots to the sentiment panel and the card front was finished. Amy's photos of the card are so much brighter and I apologize for my iPhone, lighting and photo program!

Thank you for stopping by and help yourself to some M & M's.

Stampin' Up! He's All That Father's Day Card

I have a confession to make. I told you on August 22 that I was done with the cut, stack and shuffle cards. I lied! Well, I didn't actually lie...I just misinformed you...LOL! I found two more in my stack of cards that I hadn't posted. So, welcome to my Masculine Monday Makeover Madness! I promise...this is the end!!

I used the He's All That Stamp Set and the retired Handsomely Suited Stamp Set along with the He's the Man Designer Series Paper for my two cards today. They are makeovers of this one and this one. Take a look see..

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a pleasant start to the last week of August!

Stampin' Up! Wonderful World Z Fold Birthday Card

Good Sunday morning, peeps! My card today is a CASE of Linda Richenberg's. You can see her create this fun fold here

I started with a 12" x 12" piece of retired Powder Pink (2017-2019 In Color) cardstock. I marked it at 6" on the right side and 4" on the left then cut on a diagonal between those two marks. Then I scored it at 4" and 8".

I cut three pieces of Designer Series Paper and one piece of Basic White to 3 3/4" x 5 3/4". I used Linda's method to cut my pieces at an angle and adhered them to the card base.

The front sentiment is from the Sunkissed Stamp Set, punched out with the Double Oval Punch and the inner sentiment is from the Very Best Occasions Stamp Set. The rose is from the Wonderful World Stamp Set, which is bundled with the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper. It is only available while supplies last through 8.31.22, which is when Sale-A-Bration ends. You can only get the free bundle by purchasing $100 before s/h. I don't need another stamp set but I'd love to have more of the paper!

The color inks I used are Rich Razzleberry, Flirty Flamingo and Mossy Meadow. The embellishments are three Pastel Pearls.

I'm entering my card in the Allsorts Challenge Week 690/1 A/G Options of Roses and Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #188 - Anything Goes.

Thank you for stopping by today and have a blessed Sunday.

For a Wonderful Friend

It's the weekend already and the last Saturday in August. How did that happen?

I've got a really quick card to show you today. It's one we made in our Thursday card group and Sue M. had the kit for us. She inherited a bunch of stash from someone so the stamp set and die cuts are unknown. I think it's a cool card though. I think the image is a mix of succulents and wild roses. Let's see what you think and what Allsorts Challenge Week 690/1 AG with Option of Roses thinks!

I colored the large image with Stampin' Blends: Light and Dark Old Olive , Dark Shaded Spruce and Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo and cut it out with a die. It's adhered to a Basic Black mat, which is adhered to the Basic White cardstock base. I'm also entering my card in the Colour Crazy Craft Challenge Week 34 - Anything Goes Colouring Challenge, along with the Creative Fingers Challenge #237 - AAG.

We cut the large letters out of Gold Foil and adhered them with liquid glue. The stamp had outlines of those letters so we knew where to place them.

The "For a Friend" was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Basic White scraps and cut with Stampin' Up's Paper Trimmer. We cut mats of Basic Black and adhered the mats and sentiments together with liquid glue. Then they were adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

That's all folks! Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend. I hope you are a wonderful friend to someone.

Stampin' Up! Nature's Prints

Yeppers, it's Fun Fold Friday again! I made this card at our Thursday card group and Deb C. provided the paper/kit. We used the Nature's Prints Bundle. If you don't have it, you NEED it!

All the paper is from Deb's scrapbooking days with Close to My Heart. The "flowers" are stamped in Night of Navy using the Nature's Prints Stamp Set and cut out with the Natural Prints Dies. The other floral pieces use the same die set.

We heat embossed the pale yellow cardstock with another stamp from Nature's Prints.  The inside sentiment and flower are stamped in Night of Navy ink.

We punched out a Night of Navy circle on which the florals are adhered....some with liquid glue, some with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added three Pearl Basic Jewels for embellishments and tied the ribbon around the card to keep it closed.

I'm entering my card in these challenges:
I'm not sure if this fold has a name but I rather like it and will be making another one for sure! Deb's design was fantastic...but she thinks she has little talent for card making...I think this card proves her wrong!

Stampin' Up! Soft Seedlings for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a color challenge. Links to the team hoppers are at the bottom of this post.
I used the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set, Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper and the Baby Wipe Technique to create my fun fold. Measurements are listed after the hoppers below.

The baby wipe technique is all the rage with this particular stamp set. It certainly did lend itself well to using Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow ink refills! The sentiment is stamped in Cajun Craze and I adhered three Champagne Basic Jewels.

I was inspired by Lisa Brown for the fun fold. This card was so easy to create...  take a look see...

I created my own background again using the ink that was left on my silicone craft sheet, like I did here. It came out a little dark so I had to stamp the sentiment in Cajun Craze a number of times. It's easier to see in real life.

Because you know I love fun folds, I'll have another one for you tomorrow. Do come back! If you aren't a "follower", I hope you'll become one. Just click on that button and I'd love it if you would subscribe as well.

Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. Thank you for stopping by and hopping with us! I hope you enjoy all the creativeness.

Stampin' Up! Wacky Wednesday Cards

It's Wacky Wednesday because I made kits for our Thursday card group. What's wacky about that you ask? Well, I gave them all the same materials but there was no card as a sample and basically no instructions except to say "it's a mystery card. Just put it together however you want and don't look at what anyone else is doing!"

I had done mystery cards with them a long time ago but I gave them measurements for whatever type of cardstock and DSP they wanted to use and they picked their own colors and I gave them step-by-step instructions on what to do next with what they brought.

Want to see all our cards? I'll show them to you in a minute. Let me tell you what was in the kit....a piece of cardstock for the base, a panel and strip of retired Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper along with two triangles cut with the retired Stitched Triangles Dies, Pale Papaya ribbon, scraps of Very Vanilla and a whole doily. The only stamp sets available were the Alphabest Stamp Set and the Go To Greetings Stamp Set plus the Best Label Punch. Okay, now I'll show you my card, Barb's, Deb's and Sue M.'s in that order.

Are they not cool or what? The gals did a wonderful job of creating AND we all had fun!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop

Welcome to our first monthly SU Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop. If you love fun folds, you have come to the right place! The list of hoppers is at the end of my post and I do hope you'll hop along. I'm sure you'll be in for a real treat. For now, let's hop to the fun fold I created with the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper.

Several demonstrators have done videos for what they call a "twisted" fun fold.  I'm not sure who came up with it originally, but you know it wasn't me if you read my post from 8/19 here! I'll try my best to show you with my template/mock up.

Card base 4 1/4" x 7 1/2", scored at 2 1/2" and 5". This gives you three sections. On the right section score diagonally from the top right corner to the bottom of the middle panel score line. Do the same for the left section, scoring from the top left to the bottom left corner of the card base.

Now that the scoring is done, let's do some folding and burnishing, shall we? Fold the middle section into itself creating a valley fold. Fold the diagonals back creating a mountain fold. It should look like this...

Okay, now for the fun part of cutting your mats and DSP. Cut two pieces of Basic White 2 1/4" x 3 7/8". Then cut them on the diagonal. It makes no difference what direction you go because you can flip them around to fit the card.

The DSP is a different story. A picture is worth a thousand words...
WRONG CUT ON SOLID  DSP ABOVE and on left below!!!

Cut your 2nd DSP pattern going the same way diagonally as the first DSP pattern.

I suggest you lay out your pieces before gluing them together so there are no "oopsies"...lol.

So, with the template/mock up working correctly, I went to work on the real deal making sure my directional patterns were right before I cut them!

For my real card, I chose to use both white and Pear Pizzazz mats. The center panel is Basic White cut at 2 1/4" x 4".  I stamped the sentiment and image with the Kindest Gnomes Stamp Set. I colored her with Stampin' Blends and one of the Blends was disintegrating.

The outer sentiment is from the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set and is cut with a die from the Labels Aglow Dies. I adhered the left half with Stampin' Dimensionals.
