Stampin' Up! Hello Ladybug Friendship Card

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a color challenge.

What is black and white and red all over? No, not a newspaper! My card!!

There's just something about black, white and red. Don't you agree? My design was inspired by Susie Wood.

I achieved my dots by using a die, silicone mat and embossing/die cutting machine. A partial product list is at the bottom of my post.

Clicking on the "next" button will take you to TOK (the other Karen!). Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. Thank you for stopping by and hopping with us! I hope you'll be back tomorrow for my fun fold.

If you would like instructions on how I created each card, along with the insides (not shown in this post), let me know in an email or comment with instructions on how to send them to you.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll return on Thursday for our Happy Inkin' blog hop.

Stampin' Up! Hues of Happiness Quilt Card

Welcome to my Monday Makeover Madness. My card today is a makeover of this one below.

The makeover card has an Orchid Oasis Cardstock Base with a Neena Bright White Mat, and Hues of Happiness DSP  1 1/4" squares. After I adhered the squares to the mat, I ran it through my embossing machine with the retired Tufted Textured Impressions EF. I attached 5 knotted pieces of retired Baker's Twine from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.

The sentiment from the Shaded Summer Stamp Set, is stamped in Daffodil Delight and punched out with the retired Story Label Punch. The Polished Pink Cardstock mat is punched with the Label Me Lovely Punch. It's adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the rose from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set in Polished Pink on the left corner of my envelope.

For the inside, I used the retired Detailed Trio Punch to punch three of the corners. The sentiment from the Shaded Summer Stamp Set is stamped in Orchid Oasis ink. The rose is from the Happiness Abounds set and is stamped in Polished Pink ink. I colored the center with my Light So Saffron Stampin' Blend. I adhered a strip of the Hues of Happiness DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by today. Even though tomorrow is not the third Tuesday of the month, I will be doing a post so I hope you'll stop back.

Stampin' Up! Sweet Conversations Anniversary Card

Good Sunday morning my stamping friends. I made this card for the challenges at Atlantic Hearts and Double Trouble...more about that at the end of my post!

I used the Sweet Conversations Stamp Set, which is retiring 6/30/22 and on sale for $9!!! I stamped the Hug Me and hearts in Poppy Parade Ink on a 4" x 5 1/4" panel of Basic White cardstock and sponged it so that the embossed (Darice EF 2012) panel would stand out more. I adhered it to a Basic Black card base 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

The embossed heart panel measures 1 5/8" x 5 1/4". The Basic Black mat measures 1 3/4" x 5 1/4". The "Happy Anniversary"  is an outline sticker from Peel Offs.

I wrapped a 6" piece of 3/8" Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon (retired) around the panel and adhered it to the card base with liquid glue. The Poppy Parade cut out and embossed heart was created with the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder and Bouquet of Love Dies, which are paired and retire 6/30/22. (That's a deal at $14.50! The retiring products are available while supplies last.) I adhered it to the ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To finish off the front, I adhered three black Classic Matte Dots.

My design was inspired by Atlantic Hearts Sketch #478.

AH is partnering with Double Trouble Challenge #114 - "YouNique Technique", thus my hand-stamped background and dry embossing!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have time to take a look at these two challenges. It was such fun to create with their help! AND remember, we are each unique!

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Stampin' Up! Artistically Inked Meets Happiness Abounds Fun Fold

Today is a wonderful day, not only because it's Fun Fold Friday, but because this is my second time as Guest Designer for Stamping Secrets Creative Creases. This is challenge #35 and it's always Anything Goes with a Fun Fold. I do hope you'll participate in the challenge.

I used two current Stampin' Up! Stamp Sets to create my card and a retired Designer Series Specialty Paper (Expressions in Ink).

My card base is Polished Pink Cardstock which measures 7" x 5 1/4". I scored it on the 7" side at 4 1/4", folded and burnished it.

I cut pieces of Basic White measuring 4" x 5" for the inner liner and 2 3/4" x 4" for the art panel.  I stamped that piece in Evening Evergreen ink (1st and 2nd generation) with the spot stamp from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set. I stamped the "Happy Birthday" from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with Gold Emboss Powder.

The gold striped DSP is from the Expressions in Ink pack and measures 4" x 4". It is scored and folded at 3". The 1" part is centered vertically and adhered to the back of the inner liner before the liner is adhered to the card base, thus creating a "flap". So, do your stamping while the inner liner is free. My sentiment is from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set and the little flowers are from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set

Then I adhered the Happy Birthday piece to the gold striped flap. I stamped a rose from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set in Polished Pink and fussy cut it. I had some Gold Glimmer Paper leaves in my stash and adhered those under the rose that I adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Next I worked on the front flap panel. I adhered a gold foil mat 2 1/2" x 5" to it and then adhered a 2" x 5" piece of Expressions in Ink to it. Et voila, the card was done. This card was so much easier than the one I created for the June 10 Creative Creases Challenge!

I'm entering this card in the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #184.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will try your hand at this and come back and visit me on Sunday. Have a great weekend and thank you, Debbie, for inviting me to be Guest Designer for your wonderful Creative Creases Challenge Blog. It's been a blast!!

Stampin' Up! Wild & Sweet Birthday Card for the Thursday Happy Inkin' Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a sketch challenge. Here is what I created for it...

and here is our sketch...

My card base is Basic White Cardstock. I cut a piece of Sun Prints DSP to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and adhered it to the base with liquid glue.

Next I cut a piece of Gray Granite Cardstock and adhered it crookedly to the front. I used a Stitched Rectangle Die to cut a piece of Shimmery White cardstock for the art panel. The image is from the Wild & Sweet Stamp Set. I colored the blue using my water painter and Balmy Blue ink. I colored the tree with Stampin' Blends: Light and Dark Crumb Cake, Light and Dark So Saffron, and Dark Old Olive. I adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. The ribbon is Gray Granite 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon.

Then I stamped the "Wishing You So Much Happiness" from the On the Horizon Stamp Set (retiring 6/30/22) using VersaMark ink and heat embossing it with Black Basics Embossing Powder. I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies. I adhered it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I'm entering my card in the Path of Positivity Challenge #102 and the Anything Goes Challenge at Through the Craft Room Door.

Stampin' Up! Splendid Thoughts Many Occasion Card

Welcome to my Monday Morning Makeover Madness card. This one is a makeover of my teammate, Tara Carpenter, from Missouri. She demonstrated her card at our quarterly Inkin' Krew Zoom meeting last week and you can see it here. We used the Splendid Thoughts Bundle, which will be available to customers July 1. In case you haven't heard, Stampin' Up! is having free shipping tomorrow only so I'm getting my list together. If you'd like to place an order through me as your demonstrator, just click on the tab on the right side bar. Back to the card after that psa!

Here is how mine turned out...

We started by putting 2 strips of Post-It Tape on a panel of Shimmery White cardstock leaving about 1 3/4″ opening between them. Starting with Pale Papaya Ink, using my Blending Brush, I added color to the top section of the panel. I then added Soft Succulent Ink using my Blending Brush in the center section. Lastly, I blended Orchid Oasis Ink on the bottom section.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts Cling Stamp Set in Evening Evergreen Ink on the bottom of the panel. There was a smudge of ink on the panel so I stamped the leaf image in Soft Succulent ink, missed the smudge so I covered it using Soft Succulent ink and my waterpainter for the "swishes". I cut the leaf from a panel of Soft Succulent cardstock. using my Splendid Stems Dies  I adhered the leaf die to the card front using liquid glue. I wrapped a piece of Soft Succulent 3/8" Open Weave ribbon around the Shimmery White panel, tied a bow and adhered the panel to a Soft Succulent mat using Stampin’ Seal.

I adhered the layered panel to an Evening Evergreen card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added three Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Succulent Ink on a Basic White panel. I punched the corners with the retired Detailed Trio Punch and adhered the panel to a Soft Succulent mat and then to the inside of the Evening Evergreen card base.

I'm entering my card at Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge #2225, Crafty Gals Corner #232 - ATG,  and Path of Positivity Challenge #102 Anything Goes Positive. This site is new to me. They have an optional twist, but I'm not doing that.

Thank you for stopping by today and here's the only green M & M I could find that wasn't controversial! To me, M & M's are just chocolate...I had not heard the big hullaballoo over it until today.

"He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters."

Stampin' Up! Plentiful Plants Encouragement Card

I have created so many cards in a couple of weeks because our Card Group started meeting again that I have decided to blog on Sundays, in addition to Mondays, Thursdays for our blog hop, Fridays and third Tuesday for our monthly blog hop.

This card was demonstrated by Deb using her Plentiful Plants Stamp Set, Perfect Plants Dies and my Through it Together Stamp Set, Brick & Mortar EF and Stylish Shapes Dies. The instructions and measurements follow the photos.

Crushed Curry Card Base: 4 1/4 x 11, scored and folded at 5 ½”

Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4  (2) emboss one with Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder; sponge lightly with Gray Granite; the other piece is for the inner liner

Adhere embossed panel to card base. On the inner liner, stamp the pot in Cajun Craze and the plant in Mossy Meadow second generation. Stamp sentiment from Through it Together in Crushed Curry. Punch three corners with the retired Detailed Trio Punch (retired).

On scrap Basic White, stamp leaves in Mossy Meadow full strength and second generation; stamp plant pot in Cajun Craze  and crop  images with the coordinating Perfect Plant Dies.

Crop a piece of Crumb Cake card stock with the macramé die

Put the smaller leaves through the macramé and put small dabs of liquid glue on back of  macramé. Adhere bigger leaves behind smaller one  with a glue dot. Tie a piece of jute twine (retired) through the hole and adhere to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment (Through it Together) in VersaMark Ink onto a piece of Crushed Curry card stock.

Cover with White Basics Stampin' Emboss Powder. Gently tap to remove the excess. Set with a heat tool.  Crop with the smallest banner die from Stylish Shapes Dies.

Add three clear raindrop Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials (retired) to the card front wherever you choose!

I'm entering my card in the Alphabet Challenge Blog: F is for Friendship and Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge Anything Goes Embossing with a Twist of Birds. I chose not to do the twist as I threw my back out the other day doing laundry. 😓😏 AND the Snippets Playground: Challenge #430. I am very interested in winning the prize! I also loved seeing Di's snippets card.

Thank you for stopping by today and if you return tomorrow, I might have some M & M's for you 😄

Stampin' Up! Heron Habitat Birthday Card

Today’s card was one that we made at our 2nd quarterly hybrid team meeting Sunday. My team member, Rosie, who lives in South Dakota, demonstrated this double Z fold design. Here’s how my card turned out. It was a little different from hers but I love the papers she chose.

Rosie used the Stampin’ Up! Splendid Thoughts Bundle along with the Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Paper (available to customers July 1) to create her card. Unfortunately she does not have a blog that I can link to to show you hers. I, however, used sentiments from the Heron Habitat Stamp Set for a birthday card rather than a wedding card. I'll take you step-by-step as I created it with her and others. I do love ZOOM get togethers!
We started by adhering the foil panels of Splendid Day Specialty DSP to the coordinating Soft Sea Foam mats using Stampin’ Seal. We adhered the layered panels to the Sahara Sand card base with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiments from the Heron Habitat Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink on the fabric pattern from Splendid Day Specialty DSP. I adhered the stamped panels to leafy Splendid Day DSP mats using Stampin’ Seal and then to the front of the small card base. I adhered 3 die cut leaves that I cut from scraps of Soft Sea Foam and Splendid Day SDSP using my Splendid Stems Dies. I adhered them to the fabric pattern panels with liquid glue. The middle panel is a stand-alone mat of the leafy pattern.

Next we adhered the small card base to the large card base using  liquid glue on half of the small card base front and to the card base back.

On the back, I adhered the foil die cut leaf image, that I cut using my Splendid Stems Dies and a scrap of Splendid Day SDSP, to the side of the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Soft Sea Foam mat and then to the back of the Sahara Sand card base.

I'm entering my card in...you guessed it...Creative Creases Challenge #34 - Anything with a Fun Fold, where I am Guest Designer for the month of June. I do hope you'll stop by to see the entries and hopefully enter a project of your own.

It was a fun day of creating with my team members and I always look forward to Amy's meetings. They are fun, unlike the old corporation meetings I had to attend!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you liked the card. I'll be back on Sunday with another card we made in our Thursday card group. I'd love it if you join me. Have an enjoyable weekend and may it bring many blessings your way.
