Stampin' Up! All for Baby Boy Baby Card

Good morning peeps! Welcome to Masculine Monday Makeover Madness! I had a special request for M & M's today so I did my best.

I created this card back in November 2021...

and here it is made over...

It's a regular card fold this time using patterned paper from the You're a Peach Designer Series Paper. I layered a mat of Night of Navy on a Thick Basic White cardstock base. I used various DSP for my onesies, The hangers are die cut from Gold Foil. Everything is die cut with the Baby Clothes Dies. This is a wonderful Bundle for a good price of $38.50.
For the inside...

The banner is created with the Banners Pick A Punch. The bear is stamped in Early Espresso ink and cut with a die.

Thank you for stopping by today and be sure to help yourself to some candy.

Stampin' Up! A Grand Kid Birthday Card

 Good Sunday morning, peeps!

So, yesterday I posted a birthday card for a young man who is just turning...

can you see it? Yes, 6!!!! and he is going on 21...lol. He is quite the boy and loves his Legos. Thank you, Heather Forgan, for sharing your talent! You can see her card here. I'm entering my card at the Creative Crafting Uncles #26 - Numbers Challenge.

This card takes a lot of patience and time! If you'd like to try your hand at it, here ya go...

  • Thick Basic White cardstock 10" x 7", scored and folded on the long side at 5"
  • Pacific Point, Poppy Parade, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green, Crushed Curry cardstock scraps
  • Small blocks are 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" and larger ones are 1 3/4" x 1 1/4"
  • Circles on the blocks are punched with a 1/2" punch

It's important not to try to take a short cut by not sponging the edges of the blocks or the circles...ask me how I know! The sponging gives the card texture. So, every piece is sponged with the same color ink as the cardstock. The white highlight is created with a White Gel pen before adhering with a mini Stampin' Dimensional. I'm playing at Just Add Ink #592...Choose Two and I have chosen texture and layers.

Then you just do a dry fit to see how you want your pieces to lay so that it forms a 6 or whatever number you need.

The "Happy Birthday" is from the Special Moments Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) and the other sentiment is from the A Grand Kid Stamp Set (Annual Catalog).

The inside is plain and simple...

again, using the A Grand Kid stamp set, a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock and Pacific Point ink.

I'm also entering my card at As You Like It Challenge - Favorite Occasion and Why. My favorite occasion is creating a card for a child because they are always so excited to see their card, present, eat cake and ice cream, and still love to play pin the tail on the donkey!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed the card. Let me know if you make it!

Stampin' Up! Awesome Otters Birthday Card

Good Saturday morning, peeps! Whatcha got planned for the weekend? I'll be headed to the Lakehouse Restaurant at Babcock Ranch to listen to a guy who sings only Frank Sinatra. I wonder if I'll see any of these critters in the lake?

My card base is Pacific Point, DSP is the upcoming Waves of the Ocean and the stamp set is the Awesome Otters, which is free during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 order. SAB ends 2/28/22 so if you want it, better get it now!

I stamped the otters in Basic Gray and hand colored them with my Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends and my Light and Dark Soft Suede Blends. I also used Light and Dark Pool Party to color the water, Light and Dark Gray Granite for the fish and the otters' noses. I fussy cut them out and adhered them to "wobbles". The sentiment is stamped in Pacific Point ink. Because of all the hand coloring, I'm entering my card in the Allsorts Challenge Week 665.

For the inside, I stamped the hats and colored the dots and pompoms with Stampin' Write Markers (Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Pacific Point) and stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point.

Can you guess how old the birthday boy will be? I'm sure you guessed, but you can tune in tomorrow for another hint!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend.

Stampin' Up! Summer by the Sea Thinking of You Card

TGIF, peeps! Are you going to the beach today? My little girl is...

We made this card at our Thursday Card Group and the kit was provided by Sue L. The sentiment is from the Bloom with Hope Hostess Stamp Set and the image is from Summer by the Sea (2004). Both sets are retired.

Tip: Lay the Basic White square on top of the Basic White panel and stamp the scene, being sure to leave room for the sentiment or stamp the sentiment first. I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to line up the sentiment as the main stamp is on a wooden block so it's difficult to see where to actually place the red rubber. The stamping tool could be used for that as well. I wish SU hadn't retired that tool. They replaced it with the Stamparatus and you can't use that with wood mounted red rubber stamps.

Measurements:

Card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Basic Black Mat: 5 1/4" x 4"
Basic White Panel: 5" x 3 3/4"
Basic Black Square: 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
Basic White Stamped Square: 2 1/4" x 2 1/4"

Thank you for stopping by today.

Stampin' Up! Easter Friends

Welcome to another HITBH! If you came from Jaimie B's site, I'm glad you are continuing the hop. If you haven't then I hope you'll continue to hop using my links below. No matter what, I'm glad you're here. Today we have a theme challenge and here is what I created for it..

Isn't that chick so cute? I haven't used the bunny yet but I've got awhile to create another one. Speaking of creating another one...

What's wrong with this picture? Uh huh, the DSP is different on the front middle triangle but, yeppers, it's upside down. Remember to double check your directional DSP when making a card...lol! I do like it better with the tulips rather than all the same DSP as in the first one. But, are you wondering what the theme is? Here ya go...

and here's the inside of the first card...

and the inside of the second card...

I just love this DSP...upside down...inside out...or not! Just to prove it, I'll show you a third card!

If you have time to leave a comment, let me know which one is your favorite, .

I'm entering the first card at Creative Creases #26 - anything with a fun fold and at the Fusion Card Challenge using the colors and a bird.

Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. Thank you for stopping by and hopping with us!

Stampin' Up! Hand Penned Petals Thank You Card

Happy Tuesday, peeps! Here's my "thanks" for visiting today...

I'd like to thank Ann Alexander for the inspiration. Meg provided the kit for our Thursday Card Group but I designed it at home.

The card base is Very Vanilla cardstock with a mat of Pale Papaya that I embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D EF. There are two mats in Smoky Slate and the art panel is Very Vanilla stamped in Pale Papaya with the flower from the Hand Penned Petals Stamp Set. We stamped the flower on scrap Very Vanilla with Smoky Slate ink and cut it out with the Penned Flower Dies. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and the ribbon is Pale Papaya 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon. I added three Elegant Faceted Gems to finish the front and left the inside blank.

I'm entering my card at Try it on Tuesday - Add Some Texture, Cupcake Inspirations #538 - Anything Goes

and at As You See It #268 - Techniques, Techniques. A favorite technique of mine  is Dry Embossing.

Measurements:

Card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"

Embossed Panel: 4" 5 1/4"

Smoky Slate Mats: 2 3/4" x 4" and 1 3/4" x 1 3/8"

Hand Stamped Pattern Panel: 2 3/8" x 2 7/8"

Sentiment: Scrap Very Vanilla to cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die

Again, thanks for stopping by.

Stampin' Up! Grassy Grove New Horizons Birthday Cards

Welcome to another Monday Morning Makeover Madness! Did you miss the M & M's last Monday? I did so I had to bring them out again today. These are makeovers of the one I made here. I just wanted you to get a feel as to how the New Horizon Designer Series Papers provides a different locale for the deer from the Grassy Grove Stamp Set!!

If you notice on the last one, it totally changes the look of the card when the birthday sentiment is moved and the grass parts are extended. This is my favorite of all four. I'm entering it at Creative Creases #26 - Anything Goes with a Fun Fold. I'm also entering it at Pammie's Inky Pinkies #2208 - ATG, and A Perfect Time to Craft #2-2022

Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed day. Oh, and grab some M & M's on your way to your next stop.

Stampin' Up! Daffodil Afternoon Thank You Card

Good Saturday morning, peeps! I've used another pattern from the Daffodil Afternoon DSP, which is free with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration. I love it when the paper does all the work! I topped it with a Heart & Home Doily, which I sponged with Pear Pizzazz ink on the back side and stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink. The "Thank You" is from the Grass Grove Stamp Set. The embellishments are the Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems and the ribbon is the Old Olive/Pretty Peacock 3/8" Reversible Ribbon.

The sentiments on the inside are from the Dogwood 2015 Technique Tuesday Stamp Set. The butterfly is from SU's Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set. I punched the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch.

I'm entering my card in the #tgifc356 Inspiration Challenge.
and Allsorts Challenge Week 664 "I Love..." I LOVE free Designer Series Paper!

Stampin' Up! Waves of Inspiration Friendship Card

TGIF, peeps! For those of you who aren't demonstrators, there is a suite that will become available to you March 1. It's called "Waves of the Ocean Collection". Oh, trust me...you will WANT this, not only NEED it! LOL!!

For my card today, I used one of the stamps from the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set, one of the dies from the Waves Dies, and the foil and Designer Series Paper all in the collection. There is bling that goes with it, but I didn't use the Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels. The Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set and Waves Dies will carry over to the Annual Catalog 2022-2023 but the Waves of the Ocean DSP, Blue Foils and bling will only be available while supplies last. As a demonstrator I was able to pre-order the collection.

I also incorporated the Whale Done Stamp Set for the turtles and did mirror image stamping. I CASE'd my friend and upline, Mary Deatherage's design, which she cased from Splitcoaststampers.

Measurements are listed below.

Measurements:

Coastal Cabana Card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4"

Basic White cardstock: Inside sentiment square (diamond) 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"; scrap for stamping turtles and pelican

Bermuda Bay cardstock for mats: 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" (2); 2 7/8" x 2 7/8" (2); 2" x 2" (2) 1 7/8" x 1 7/8" (2)

Designer Series Paper: 1 3/4" x 5 1/8" (2);  1 3/4" x 1 3/4" (2)

If you would like further instructions, please leave a comment and I will get them to you asap as long as I have an email address for you. However, you can also use Debbie Mageed's instructions for a slightly different size card. Mine is A2 and hers is an A6. Check out her challenge at Creative Creases #26 - Anything Goes with a Fun Fold.
