Stampin' Up! Touches of Texture OSW Birthday and Anniversary

Happy Saturday morning, peeps! Can you believe how fast we went through November? Since tomorrow starts a new month, I've decided to wrap up my One Sheet Wonder cards. I'm entering my first card in the Just Us Girls #516 Wild Card Week -Anything Goes Challenge.
If you have been following my posts this past week, you will see that the colors and panels have all been the same but with different shapes, layouts and occasions. I'm searching for the OSW layout that I used just in case you would like to make your own. If you do, let me know in a comment and I'll search more diligently. This card is an anniversary card, plain and simple!
This next card was created with a Balmy Blue piece of card stock for the embossed mat mounted on a Crumb Cake card base. The middle panel uses the retired Touches of Texture stamp set.

Thank you for hanging with me while I cleaned up my work area. I'm starting my resolutions early....I have promised myself not to leave such a mess during December! Do you have that problem too?

Stampin' Up! Waterfront and Touches of Texture OSW Good Luck Card

Happy Friday, peeps! Are you still stuffed from yesterday's feasting? Hopefully the tryptophan has worn off by now so that you are not too tired to read!

Today I have another One Sheet Wonder from pieces found on my desk.

I began by stamping the dots on my Whisper White card base in Crumb Cake. The stamp is from the current Waterfront stamp set. The two end panels are pieces from Paper Flowers by Louise Tiler. The middle panel is a stamp from the retired Touches of Texture set, stamped with Crumb Cake Ink on Crumb Cake card stock. The panels are matted on Melon Mambo card stock. The "Good Luck" is a lift-off, stick-on sentiment set. I'm thinking this card could be used as a retirement card or new job so the inside is blank. Either would be a celebration so I'm entering my card at the Time Out Challenges #149 .

I still have a few more pieces from the OSW so I think I'll make it a wrap tomorrow with the remaining pieces. I'll start anew on Sunday. Hope to see you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by today.

Stampin' Up! So Many Stars & Praiseworthy Prose for the Happy Inkin' Krew Blog Hop

Welcome to our weekly hop. I think I smell turkeys cooking! Happy Thanksgiving!! Today we have a color challenge...
Image may contain: text
and here is what I created for it...

My card base is Night of Navy 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".

I cut a piece of Very Vanilla 5 1/4" x 4" and randomly stamped it in Night of Navy with a stamp from So Many Stars.

The copper mat measures 4 1/2" x 1". The sentiment piece of Very Vanilla measures 4 1/4" x 3/4". I stamped "Joy" from the So Many Stars in Night of Navy and then with another stamp from that set, I stamped the little "twinklers". I adhered the sentiment to the copper mat with Dimensionals.

The larger copper star is cut with a die from the Stitched Stars Dies and it's adhered with Dimensionals. The small copper stars are from the Star Designer Elements and are self-stick.

Now, let's get to the inside...

I cut a piece of Very Vanilla 5 1/4" x 4" and stamped the "celebrate" from the Praiseworthy Prose Stamp Set in Night of Navy. The Copper Foil star piece is a die from the Stitched Stars Dies and it's adhered with liquid glue. The "Oh Holy Night" is from So Many Stars and it, too, is stamped in Night of Navy.

I'm entering my card in the Fusion Challenge: Christmas and using the photo as inspiration.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and thank you for joining the hop. I want to wish all my teammates a Happy Thanksgiving too. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Eva Dobilas. Clicking on the names below will take you directly to the other team members and their projects.

Stampin' Up! Wonderful Moments OSW Birthday Card

Wednesday is usually the middle of the week but I am hoping you don't have to work Thursday or Friday so it could be the end of your week with a looooooong weekend ahead of you!

My card today is a continuation of the OSW pieces I found on my desk yesterday. Take a look see...
I stamped the sentiment from Wonderful Moments in the lower left corner with VersaMark and heat embossed it with Gold Emboss Powder. I ran the mat through my embossing machine using the Basket Weave 3D Embossing Folder making sure I didn't emboss the sentiment corner. I adhered that mat to the Melon Mambo card base. I adhered a strip of Melon Mambo across the middle of the card. I adhered the patterned paper mat and stamped mat to the card front. A little bird told me the stamped mat was from the Touches of Texture Stamp Set...glad that mystery is solved from yesterday!

Karen (I like that name!) over at Watercooler Wednesday has an occasions challenge today

The House That Stamps Built Repeat Impressions Blog N2719 has an ATG (Anything Goes) challenge.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! One Sheet Wonder Get Well Card

Good afternoon...I'm running behind today but it really doesn't matter, I guess, because who knows when you are reading this (smile).

Over at 613 Avenue Create Challenge #227 their monthly challenge is Anything Goes with an optional twist "Scrap Your Stash". I love challenges like this. I have so many scraps on my desk, along with unfinished One Sheet Wonders. I found some of those when I was cleaning the other day so I created this card...

It was so long ago that I cut up these pieces (3 years ago!). I don't remember what stamp that is but I do know the patterned paper was given to me by Carole.  It is from Paper Flowers by Louise Tiler. I like to play at Craftyhazelnuts Monthly Patterned Paper Challenge so I hope she likes it!

The card base and mats are Melon Mambo. The Very Vanilla mat is embossed with the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder. The wooden butterfly embellishment is from last year's Sale-A-Bration promotion. That was also laying on my desk. The "Get Well Soon" was one of those "lift off" sentiments.

The inside uses a retired stamp from Thoughts & Prayers, along with the current flower filigree from Beauty Abounds. It's stamped with Crumb Cake ink on a piece of paper I inherited from Office Max. It has speckles in it so it has that ink splattered look.

Thank you for stopping by today. I enjoy your visits. Oh, and if you remember what that flower stamp is from, could you let me know in a comment. I'd like to use it again!

Stampin' Up! Painted Glass Sympathy Card

Good Monday Morning Makeover, peeps. Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was uneventful, which is good!

My card for you today is made with the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and is a CASE of the birthday card I posted on November 15.

I used a different part of the Bird Ballad DSP, tied a real bow, rather than a faux bow. I love this braided ribbon so I'm entering my card at the Alphabet Challenge Blog: R is for Ribbon

The sentiment is from the Painted Glass Stamp Set. Everything else is the same as the birthday card except I did not add embellishments.

For the inside...

The sentiment is from the Path of Petals Stamp Set and the bird is from Free As a Bird Stamp Set.

I'm playing for the third time this month at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies #32. I love seeing all the critter cards on their site.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Dahlia Fold Flower Retirement Card

This is the third and last card we made at Sue's on Thursday. There is no way I can give you instructions for it. She helped us step-by-step! BUT, thanks to the wonderful internet, here is a tutorial by Tracy Bradley. What I can tell you is that we had to punch out 9 circles, then layer the "petals" on a bigger circle and it's monochromatic with a blue embellishment. The card fits in these two challenges: Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge JOSTTT011 (I have gone across the bottom row)

I love monochromatic cards and this was easy to create once we got the hang of folding the petals. Sue comes up with cards that stretch our minds!

The "Happy Retirement" is a stick on and I have no idea where the DSP came from but it was perfect for the flower. Since retirement is a cause for celebration, I'm entering my card in the Inkspirational Challenge #200 - Celebration. I think the design mimics the photo as well, don't you?

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll come back tomorrow for another Makeover Monday. While you are still here, though, I'd love it if you would click on the "Follow" button to become a follower of my blog. TIA!

Stampin' Up! Cable Knit Seasonal Card

My card today is the second one we created at Sue's on Thursday. I just think it's the cutest card and I hope you will agree! I also think it fits the challenge at Just Us Girls #515.

Whisper White Card Base
Purple Plum Mat (retired)
Whisper White Mat dry embossed with Stampin' Up! Cable Knit Embossing Folder (retired)
Purple Plum Ink (retired)
Darcie's Happy Freezin' Season Wood Mount Stamp
Stitched Squares Dies

Sue hand knit the little sweater and inserted toothpicks. She had a little container of beads that we glued on the one end and cut off the pointed tips once the beads were secured.

The inside...

Sentiment - Northwoods Rubber Stamps
Heart - I'm not sure

Sorry this post is so sketchy but I just don't pay attention to ingredients or measurements much when I haven't made the kits. I hope you understand. It makes for a quicker read, though, right?

I'm playing for the second time this month at Fabrika Fantasy Challenge #36. My goal is to learn how to use their digis!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a spectacular Saturday.

Stampin' Up! Sprinkles of Life Birthday Card

Yesterday our card group met at Sue M.'s and we made three cards. I can't wait to show them to you over the next three days, hopefully.

For the first one we used the retired Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set and retired Tree Builder Punch. The technique is called "Latch Card" and it's a CASE of Christi Beck.

Sue had the following cut for us:
Bermuda Bay card base - 5.5" x 7.5"
Whisper White (2) 3" x 5 1/4"
DSP 1" x 5 1/4"
Bermuda Bay 2" circle
Whisper White 2 1/2" circle or Layering Circle Framelit

She had us score the long side of the base at  3 1/4", which created the front flap. With the front folded, on the edge of the inside, we scored at 3 3/8" and 3 1/2", and 3 5/8". This makes the right edge of the base bendable. The cupcake "latch" will be attached to the non-scored edge.

On a piece of scrap Whisper White, we stamped the cupcake base in Crushed Curry and fussy cut it around the bottom and side edges, but not the top.  Leave about an inch on paper at the top. We also stamped the frosting in Bermuda Bay and punched it out. We used Strawberry Slush for the sprinkles. The frosting was then adhered to the cupcake base with Dimensionals.

Next we adhered the two circles together and then adhered the cupcake to the circle.

We glued the DSP on the edge of one of the Whisper White pieces and stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay. With the remaining piece of Whisper White, we stamped the inside sentiment. We ran a piece of ribbon around the DSP piece and adhered that to the front of the card. The remaining piece was adhered to the inside of the card.

Now comes the fun part, adding the cupcake circle to the edge of the inside. We put Dimensionals on the far right side of the circle to adhere it to the base.

This is how it looks when it's opened...

I hope you'll try this technique as it is such a fun card and easy to create.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Stampin' Up! Waterfront Sympathy Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to our weekly blog hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge this week...
No photo description available.

The Waterfront Stamp Set was perfect for a needed sympathy card for a friend. My inspiration came from Teri Polcock.

The card base is Night of Navy with an adhered burlap mat from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the front mountain in Soft Suede and then stamped again, without reinking, so it looks like it's farther away. I stamped the sun in Daffodil Delight. Then I stamped the grassy area in Pear Pizzazz. The water is stamped in Pool Party with the larger water stamp, Blueberry Bushel with the smaller water stamp and then again with the spotted stamp. The trees are stamped in Old Olive.

I used the three smallest birds from the High Tide Stamp Set and inked them in Early Espresso. It also covered up a splotch of ink in the sky :-)

While I had the Early Espresso ink out, I stamped the sentiment from Flourishing Phrases and cut it out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

Before I cut the art panel out with one of the dies from Layered Circle Dies, I sponged the sky with Seaside Spray. I matted it on Early Espresso card stock cut from one of the scalloped circle dies. I glued the two circles together with liquid glue and adhered that to the card base with Dimensionals. I cut a piece of Burlap Ribbon and adhered it with glue dots. Then I adhered the sentiment with Mini Dimensionals.

For the inside...

I stamped the sentiment from Flourishing Phrases on Whisper White card stock with Night of Navy ink. I stamped the palm trees from the Waterfront stamp set using Mossy Meadow ink and Crumb Cake ink. Fini!

I hope you enjoyed my card today and thank you for joining the hop. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Eva Dobilas. Clicking on the names below will take you directly to the other team members and their projects.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Gleaming

Welcome to my "can't get over the hump" day. I woke up at 4:30 a.m. thinking of all the cards I need to make for orders, cards I need to mail, and I haven't even prepared my list for the Extravaganza from Stampin' Up! that starts today. Click here to see what's on sale.

My card today is the same as the one I posted a week ago, with the exception of how I did the ornaments and the ribbon is different.

Rather than stamping the image on white and coloring it with Blends, I stamped on Cherry Cobbler with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and punched them out. My ribbon is retired Black Baker's Twine. Which do you like better?

Thank you for stopping by today for my quick post. I'm off to get over that hump now. Hope you make it too! I am also inviting you to be back tomorrow for our weekly Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! So Many Stars Feels Like Frost Christmas Card

Good Tuesday morning, peeps! It's a beautiful one here. My sister-in-law left 4:30 this morning to fly back to the cold, cold, cold mountains of upper New York state!

Since the Try It On Tuesday Challenge is for just that theme, I thought I'd enter my final card made with the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper. This is similar to two other cards I posted 11/17 and 10/23 as I'm using it for a sample for the class today. It's so much easier when 15 people can share three pre-designed cards to follow.
My card base is Thick Whisper White and I embossed the front with the retired Softly Falling EF.

I cut a Silver Foil mat 2 1/4" x 5 1/4" and a mat of the DSP 2" x 5". I adhered them together and then to the card front with liquid glue.

The sentiment is from So Many Stars. It's stamped in Night of Navy on a scrap of Whisper White. It's punched with the Pretty Label punch and the edges are sponged. It's adhered with Dimensionals.

Again, this is another CAS card so I'm entering for a second time at PP468 - A Clean-and-Simple Challenge from Jaydee

Thank you for stopping by and wish me luck with the class today.

Stampin' Up! Pressed Petals Birthday Card

Hello my peeps! I am so thrilled today to be a Guest Designer at The Paper Girls Challenge Blog #188! The theme for their challenge is "Family". Here is what I created for it...

My daughter's birthday was October 25 and I used the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper, the Tea Together, Enjoy Life and Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Sets to make her card.

Remember when I was doing the One Sheet Wonders (OSW) back in October? It was a set of 9 projects from one piece of 12" x 12" paper.  Well I couldn't show you the third one until now!

Really, the paper does all the work! Measurements are at the end of this post, along with the product list. My card base is Mossy Meadow.

I have a mat of Blackberry Bliss card stock with a piece of the Pressed Petals Designer Series Specialty Paper adhered to it.

The sentiment is from the Tea Together Stamp Set. I created the dots with my Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write Marker to frame the square.

I added three Pearl Basic Jewels to dress up the front a little.

For the inside...

I have a Blackberry Bliss mat and a Whisper White mat. I stamped the top sentiment and butterflies with stamps from the Enjoy Life Stamp Set. The "Happy Birthday" is from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set. The inks I used were Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will visit The Paper Girls to see all their wonderful projects. While you're there, take time to enter their challenge!

Measurements:

Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4""
Mat - 4 1/2" x 3 5/8"
DSP - 4 1/4" x 3 3/8"
Sentiment Square - 1 3/4" x 1 3/4"
Inside Mats - 5 1/4" x 4" and 5" x 3 3/4"
