Stampin' Up! In the Moment Tea Cups for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a sketch challenge. Links to the team hoppers are at the bottom of this post.

Here's our sketch...

I used the In the Moment Stamp Set for the outer sentiment, the inner sentiment and image. I also used the Teacup Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies and Deckled Rectangle Dies. Take a look see...

Here's another view of it standing up.

The bottom silver strip looks more white. Someday I'll become a professional photographer like my brother!

My colors are Balmy Blue, Starry Sky and Tahitian Tide. I also used the Silver & Gold 6 x 6 Specialty Designer Series Paper that I colored with my light Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends and also cut out the design on the first tea cup. One tea cup has Brushed Silver Foil on it and the trim on the front was done with that as well. I cut another piece of it with a die from the Stylish Shapes Dies and heat embossed the sentiment with VersaMark and White Embossing Powder. I adhered the sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals because the heat bent the foil. The flowers are fussy cut from a pattern in the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.

For the inside, I did a number of layers to mimic the front. I used the 2nd, 3rd and 4th largest Deckled Rectangles Dies.

I was inspired by Jolanda Johnson who is Guest Designer at Double Trouble for their 118th Challenge - Relaxation Celebration and I decided to throw my teacup into the ring! I'm playing with all three Things, thus I'm also entering my card at Crafter's Cafe Challenge #288 for National Relaxation Day.

If you have any questions about my card, just let me know in a comment.

Stampin' Up! Geared Up Garage Birthday Card

Good mid-week morning, peeps! How's your week been going? Time is wheely wheely flying by! Perhaps it's going as fast as this Mustang can go!!

If you have recovered from my pun, I'll tell you about my card. It was created for two challenges: Double D - Wheels and Little Red Wagon #667 - Embellish It.

I made this with a couple of friends using the retired Geared Up Garage Stamp Set with coordinating Garage Gears Dies, Stitched Rectangles Dies, the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder, Black Embossing Powder, Silver Foil, retired DSP with matching envelope, Basic White cardstock, Basic Black cardstock, Misty Moonlight cardstock, and Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I love the gear embellishments and the embellishments on the inside.

The stamped image is from the He's All That Stamp Set. The silver gasoline drops are scraps from gear cut outs!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. Have a blessed day.

Stampin' Up! Daisy Garden

Good Tuesday morning, peeps! Have you ever heard of PEO? I've mentioned it in my posts before but just in case you are new here, it's a Philanthrophic Educational Organization. One of my team mates is a member as well. We are an international group of "sisters" who help women get scholarships, loans and we even have a 4 year accredited college (Cottey) in Nevada, MO. Our flower is the Marguerite and my card today is made for one of the sisters in my chapter.

We made the card in our Thursday group and the kit was provided by Sue L. The base is Night of Navy cardstock, the Designer Series Paper is retired (Floral Boutique), the medium daisy punch was used, along with the retired Daisy Lane Stamp Set. We used the Double Oval Punch for the sentiment and I don't know what stamp set it is from. Sue is in Africa right now so I can't ask. The ribbon is generic.

I can tell you more about the inside because I finished it when I got home!  I used the Daisy Garden background stamp, stamping it third generation in Night of Navy ink. I sponged the Basic White panel with So Saffron ink and stamped the sentiment from the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set full strength.

I'm entering my card at:

Stampin' Up! He's the Man

Welcome to my Monday Morning Makeover Madness Masculine card. That's a mouthful of M & M's isn't it!! You'll see right away that my card is masculine but you won't see the makeover unless you go here.

Yeppers, it's the cut, stack and shuffle technique again. This time it's masculine instead of feminine and a birthday instead of a Thank You.

I used the He's All That Stamp Set, the Geared Up Garage (retired) for the die cut car, and the He's the Man Designer Series Paper to create my card. The front sentiment is from the A Good Man Stamp Set and punched with the Window Punch, both of which are retired. The inside sentiment is from He's All That.

The colors are Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.

I'm entering my card in the color challenge at Sunday Stamps SSC289

Thank you for stopping by today and help yourself to an M & M's Bar.

Happy Halloween

Good Sunday morning peeps! Yes, halloween is just around the corner and it is a day I only celebrate with black cats and youngsters up to age 16! I'm sharing my card today with you and Sunday Stamps SSC289 In the Woods color challenge  ...there are lots of spider webs in the woods!

I believe I have three of the colors showing on their graphic. It's hard for me to tell colors when they are not Stampin' UP! We made this card Thursday in our card group and Debbie provided the kit. Everything was from her Close to My Heart scrapbooking days. In any event, it was fun to emboss with the spider web folder and fence folder. She had the black cat cut for us along with the squares. The pearl eyes have a spooky look, don't you think? I'm also playing at Can You Handle the Pressure where you must use an embossing folder with an optional twist of pets/dogs/cats. There is also a challenge at Two Old Bats, which I just learned about from Diane so I'm playing there as well.

I'll be sending this card to my Godson who is a young person (14) and he loves Halloween. I love to play at the Alphabet Challenge and their current challenge is "J" for Juvenile...and we all know a 14 year old boy can act quite juvenile at times...lol.

Thanks for visiting today and if you follow me, you'll know I will have either a makeover or masculine card for tomorrow. One thing is for certain, there will be M & M's involved! Have a blessed day.

Stampin' Up! Sunkissed Beach and Just for Fun

Welcome to my Technique Tuesday Challenge Card. I don't usually do one layer stamping but I did for my card today . Take a look see...

First off, I want to extend my condolences to the team at Inkspirational on the passing of their friend and teammate, Lindsey. I can only imagine what a loss that is. I am entering my card in the Inkspirational Challenge #271 - Technique One Layer Stamping.

I made a similar card on March 9, 2018 but it consisted of 4 layers and an embellishment. It was also colored differently and the sign posts were different. I hope you have time to check it out.

The image is from the Just For Fun Stamp Company and the city names are separate little stamps. I made this for a friend who loves Key West and her mother loves Las Vegas! They've both visited Tampa and Hawaii.

I created my own background for the image by sponging the sky with Balmy Blue ink and stippling the sand with Crumb Cake Ink.. I stamped the cities with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored the entire image with watercolor pencils and a Blender Pen.  Easy peasy card front.

For the inside, again I created my own background...sponging the panel with Balmy Blue, So Saffron and Sahara Sand inks.. The poem/song lyrics by Bob Dylan is computer generated along with the Happy Birthday.

I stamped the Sunkissed Stamp Set palm trees and dune third generation Crumb Cake. I colored the water with my dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends.

This is my second year trying to obtain 100 followers by the end of the year. Just click on the "follow" button on my side bar. You can also click on the "subscribe" button if you want to know when I post. Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will become a follower.

"When Jesus heard this, He said to him, “You still lack one thing; sell everything that you have and distribute the money to the poor, and you will have [abundant] treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me [becoming My disciple, believing and trusting in Me and walking the same path of life that I walk].”

Stampin Up! Very Best Occasions Thinking of You Card

Welcome to Fun Fold Friday. My card today is created with the twisted ribbon technique and has a belly band. Take a look see...

I used the Wonderful World Designer Series Paper, available for free during Sale-A-Bration with a purchase of $100 (it comes with a matching stamp set).

My card base is Basic White (6 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 2 1/4" on the long side) and my panels are Flirty Flamingo (1 7/8" x 5 1/8" and 4" x 5 1/8"). This was so much fun to create.

I put tick marks every 1/2" on both sides of a 1 5/8" x 5" piece of Basic White. I cut 5 pieces of one side of the pattern and 6 pieces of the reverse side, all 2 1/2" x 1/2". I adhered one pattern all the way down at an angle like this...

Then I adhered the flowered pattern like so...

The I cut off the excess from the white ribboned panel and adhered it to the right side of a Flirty Flamingo mat (4" x 5 1/8"). On the left side, I adhered a piece of Basic White (2" x 5 1/8"). I stamped the sentiment from the Very Best Occasions Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow ink. Inside donesky as my friend and upline, Mary, would say.

For the front flap, I cut a piece of Flirty Flamingo (1 7/8" x 5 1/8") and adhered a panel of DSP (1 3/4" x 5").

Because this fun fold has a tendency to stay open, I created a belly band with a 9 1/2" x 3/4" piece of the DSP. I formed it around the card and glued the ends together. I covered the glued ends with a flower from another pattern in the Wonderful World DSP, which was punched with the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch. I sponged the edges with Mossy Meadow ink and adhered it to the belly band with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I'm entering my card in the Craft Rocket Challenge #95 - Flowers.

Thank you for visiting today and I hope you are looking forward to a fun weekend.

Stampin' Up! Gathered Wheat for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a theme challenge. Links to the team hoppers are at the bottom of this post.

Here's our theme...
here is what I created for it...

I used the Gathered Wheat Stamp Set to stamp the image and sentiment. My card base is Basic White with a mat of Crushed Curry. I cut a frame of Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper with the largest die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies and the art panel is cut with the second largest Deckled Rectangles Dies.

I poked holes where the wheat was tied with a rope on the stamped image and ran my Linen Thread to create the tie for the shaft of wheat. Then I adhered the art panel to the card base. Lastly, I adhered five Champagne Basic Jewels for a little bling.

I'm entering my card in the Happy Little Stampers: HLS August Anything Goes Using Dies Challenge.

Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. Thank you for stopping by and hopping with us! I hope you'll be back tomorrow for my fun fold and a couple of fun challenges. I also hope you'll become a follower by clicking on the "follow" button on my side bar and I thank you in advance for that! Now on with the hop!!

Stampin' Up! Heron Habitat Bookmarks

Good mid-week morning, peeps! I was in the mood to create a beachy scene with my bookmarks. This particular beach is not at the ocean, but rather a lake. Take a look see...

I'm not sure which one I like better...I think the one with the cattails. Along the lake in front of my house, we just have reedy grass but we do have the Sand Hill Cranes! There are four of them that walk around the lake. Two are the parents and two are the children. The one child has a broken wing and had a broken leg. Both are healing and the little guy can fly but not too high.

I can still remember the first time I saw a Sand Hill Crane. At that point in time I was awestruck...23 years later I am still in awe. Their mating dance is quite the entertainment. They do put a lot of holes in my lawn and they also like to peck at the car and my window screens! The parents mate for life and take turns laying on their two eggs. Here's mom and pop in my friends' yard.

Their babies are nearby and so cute. Did you know the babies are called colts? They walk around the swales the day after they hatch and have to be wary of alligators, coyotes and bobcats. Yes, we have all of those in my community! We used to have a fox and peacock roam through our yard. Sand Hills can peck a hole in your chest too so beware of getting too close to that beak!!

Back to my bookmarks...I used the Heron Habitat Stamp Set and Heron Dies for the bird, sentiment, cattails and tag. For the first bookmark I used the retired Sprig Punch for the reeds. The DSP is retired and for cardstock I used Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green. I colored the cranes and cattails with Stampin' Blends.

I'm entering my bookmarks in the Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge SOS476 She Sells Seashells.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll return for our Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop tomorrow.
