Stampin' Up! Merriest Moments Christmas in July

Good mid-week morning, peeps! Yes, it's Christmas in July again for me...but only because The Die Cut Diva's, The 12 Months of Christmas Challenge #90, and Crafty Gals Corner #233 suggested it! Thank you, Divas and Crafty Gals! And, thank you Christmas Craft Creations for wanting Patterned Paper for your July challenge.

I hope you have time to take a look at their sites and beautiful cards. Now, more about mine...

This was a card we made at our Thursday Card Group. The front consists of patterned paper Barb provided, along with a gold foil die cut which also had the "NOEL" embossed in it. The letters were dies as well and she had everything cut out for us but couldn't remember the name of the companies for the die or patterned paper. Right now she's in Canada without access to her craft room. If you know, please drop me an email or leave a comment. Take a look see...

I finally finished it yesterday with the Stampin' Up! Merriest Moments Stamp Set. I cut a Real Red cardstock mat for the art panel. I used Mossy Meadow ink for the holly leaves and Real Red ink for the berries and sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our Thursday Inkin' Krew Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! He's the Man Birthday Card

Welcome to another Inkin’ Krew monthly blog hop! Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products. This month we are all creating projects with a “Celebrate Summer" theme. Here is what I created for it...

What man/woman doesn't love to grill in the summer? In Florida, I grill year 'round but we did that in the north country too. Just had to brush the snow away!

My card base is Cajun Craze cardstock, with panels of He's the Man Specialty Designer Series Paper

I used the retired What's Cookin' Stamp Set for the sentiment. I think I need to reink my Early Espresso pad!

For the knife handle, salt and pepper shakers, and veggies, I used Crumb Cake ink, scraps of Very Vanilla cardstock and stamps from What's Cookin'. I colored the veggies with Stampin' Blends...Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Poppy Parade.

I used the retired Cookin' Dies for the cutting board (scrap Very Vanilla), knife (the blade is Silver Foil) and salt & pepper shakers.

The grill is a punch out from the He's the Man Designer Series pack.

The grill and knife are adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. Everything else is adhered with liquid glue.

For the inside, the sentiment is computer generated. The flames and saying is a punch out from the He's the Man Specialty DSP.  The panel measures 4" x 5 1/4".

Stampin' Up! Hues of Happiness Wedding or Birthday Note Card

If this is your first time visiting, welcome to my Monday Morning Makeover Madness! I hope you have the time to click on the follow button and subscribe to receive email when I post. (For those who have already done that, I have a new subscribe button/service as some people were not receiving.)

Today I have another card we made in our Thursday card group. It's a CASE of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog 2022-2023 cover. I was inspired by Mandy VanHavermaet.

The card base measures 4" x 5 1/2" and I cut a piece of Hues of Happiness DSP to the same size. I adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

The Basic White panel is 3" x 4 1/2" and the edge is die cut with a die from the Blossoming Happiness Dies. The flowers and leaves are cut out with dies from that set using the Hues of Happiness paper. I also stamped some leaves from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set. I adhered the flowers with Stampin' Dimensionals and the leaves with liquid glue.

The sentiment from Happiness Abounds is stamped on a scrap of Basic White with Melon Mambo ink. I "bannerized" the end and adhered it with Dimensionals. I added embellishments from the Glossy Dots Assortment. They come in three different sizes and I really like that!

The inside is simply stamped with "Thinking of you on your special day" from the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set and an adhered strip of 4" x 1/2" DSP at the bottom.

I think you could use this card either for a wedding or birthday. Your thoughts?

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you'll return tomorrow for our monthly Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! Inspired Thoughts Birthday Card

Good Sunday morning, my peeps! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  However, if you are feeling a little bit down, I hope my card will help you give wings to your worries.

We made this card in our Thursday card group and Sue L. provided the kit. The stamp was an unmarked stamp and she thought it was about 15 years old but didn't think it was SU. If anyone knows the name, would you please let me know in a comment. It's so pretty, especially in black and pink!

The sentiment is from SU retired Well Scripted Stamp Set. You can use any sentiment and any punch you want since you probably can't get these any longer!

The Old Olive branches are punched with the retired Bird Builder punch. I still have that punch and will never sell it!

I think the pink is either Pretty in Pink or Pink Pirouette, both retired. The flowers are punched with the retired Blossom Punch. For the centers I used the current white Classic Matte Dots

I'm not sure what stamp we used for the spots but SU has a lot of retired ones! The ribbon was something from JoAnn's or Michael's. You should see Sue's craft room!!!

Now, let's take a look at the inside, which I finished at home.

The sentiment is from the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers from the retired Petite Petals Stamp Set in Pretty in Pink. The corners are punched with the retired Detailed Trio Punch.

I'm entering my card at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #185 - ATG and Allsorts Challenge #684 - All Sorts of Animals.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for my Monday Morning Makeover Madness card.

Stampin' Up! Gold Foil Fun Fold Friday

Welcome to my fun fold Friday post. If you follow me and the Creative Creases Challenge, you will know I was Guest Designer for the Secret Stamper for the month of June and that Debbie was moving to Chicago. Well, I am sorry to say Debbie has not been able to unpack her craft room yet, but happy to say I am Guest Designer for Challenge #36!

My fun fold today is a CASE of this one and, again, was one we made in our Thursday card group with a kit provided by Sue L.

The only items available are the Gold Foil and Kokorosa Die Cut but it's all about those two things, really! The die is called the Foldable Wave Background Board and here are instructions in a video for creating it. The video is less than 2 minutes long and I know you are going to want this die!! You can use any patterned paper you have, any shapes, and any sentiments. Here is what we used:

  • 1 3/4" retired SU Scallop Circle Punch
  • 1 1/4" retired SU Circle Whale Punch
  • Retired SU sentiment stamp
  • Craft Consortium - Shell Rummel's Bloom Beautiful Patterned Paper (2015) It was inherited from Carole, one of our deceased members. Joann sells Craft Consortium online only.

The card does require a homemade envelope. A SU Basic White cardstock panel is on the reverse side for writing a message.

I'm entering my card in the Make the Cards Challenge #58 - Make a Fancy Fold Card.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a great weekend. Oh, and I do hope you'll enter the Creative Creases Challenge #36!

Stampin' Up! Let it Ride Birthday Card

Good mid-week day to you, my peeps! Have you recuperated from the holiday yet? Our community had a golf cart parade so that was very enjoyable. Speaking of rides, here's another method of transportation...

I made this criss cross fun fold card for my friend and upline, Mary Deatherage. If you are not familiar with her, she has two horses (Cerah and Cady) and one who passed over the Rainbow Bridge in 2017 (Bo). They are beautiful ladies and he was a handsome gent. They were the inspiration for my card, along with the Just Us Girls Challenge #639 - Mammals.

I was inspired by Rhonda Griffin as well. I'm also entering my card at Make the Cards Challenge #58 - Technique - Make a Fancy Fold, and Creative Creases Challenge #35 - Anything Goes with a Fun FoldI would be remiss not to give credit to Rhonda Griffin for my inspiration.

My card base is a sheet of Night of Navy cut at 4 1/4". I scored each piece at 5 1/2" and cut them at a diagonal from score to point. Then I adhered them together to make the criss cross fold. On a piece of not-so-white cardstock (Neenah Bright White) 4" x 5 1/4" that I had cut at a diagonal, I stamped Cerah and Cady in Soft Suede, along with the trees and the "for you" from the retired Let it Ride Stamp Set. Using my Stamparatus was very helpful in the stamping. Then I ran both pieces through my embossing machine with a retired embossing folder, Evergreen Forest 3D.

I stamped the "just" from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set on a scrap of Neenah and cut it out with a die from Stylish Shapes. I adhered it to a circle of Night of Navy and adhered the side left portion to the front flap.

I stamped Bo on the inside and stamped the sentiment from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set. I adhered that to a panel of Crumb Cake cardstock and glued that to the base.

I had some horseshoe stickers that I used to indicate what birthday she was celebrating ... she freely admits her age so it's not like I'm telling tales out of school...lol.

I'm pretty sure Mary has butterflies floating around her property so I added a couple inside and five on the outside. These are the Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll come back tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Card

Happy Tuesday! This is another unscheduled post.

The patterned paper is an old inherited Graphic 45 panel mounted on Basic Black cardstock, which is adhered to a So Saffron card base.

We made this in our card group and the techniques used are heat embossing and bleach. The sentiment is from the retired Hey Birthday Chick and it's punched with the retired Classic Label punch.

The inside sentiment is from the retired Happiest of Birthdays Stamp Set. The butterflies are from the retired Butterfly Gala Stamp Set.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you'll be back tomorrow when I will have a card to show you that does not use retired product!

Stampin' Up! Love & Happiness Anniversary Card

Welcome to my Monday Morning Makeover Madness. Do you remember when I posted this card? Today I am thankful for American Independence.

Well, I changed the above card into an anniversary card for another couple who celebrate on the 4th! No hocus pocus, just the same papers and same cuts.

I used the retired Hey Sports Fan Designer Series Paper for the front, along with Gold Foil mats on a Night of Navy card base. I cut apart the sentiment from the  Love & Happiness Stamp Set (I cringe every time I do that...especially if and when I sell a retired set!) and stamped it in Real Red ink. I adhered three Brushed Brass Butterflies and the card front was done.

For the inside...

I used my beloved, retired Detailed Trio punch on the corners and stamped another sentiment from the retired Love & Happiness Stamp set in Night of Navy ink.

Thank you for stopping by today and tomorrow I'll have a pretty butterfly card for you to look at...hope you'll join me.

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land”
(2 Chronicles 7:14).

Stampin' Up! Love & Happiness Anniversary

The recipients of my card today are celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary. I wanted to make a card for them that reflected their actual anniversary date of 7/4!

Red, white and blue...can't beat that! I used the retired Falling Petals SU EF on a Basic White mat and sponged it with Real Red and Night of Navy inks. I stamped the sentiment from the retired Love & Happiness Stamp Set in Night of Navy ink. I was brave enough to cut the stamp in pieces so it would fit in between the embossed hearts. The large Real Red embossed heart was one I had in my stash. I'm pretty sure it is from a retired hybrid die/EF. I adhered the front panel to a mat of NON and adhered that to my Real Red card base. I had some retired Real Red hearts that I adhered as well.

For the inside...

I used the retired Heart Confetti punch and stamped the sentiment from Love & Happiness in NON.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for my Monday Morning Makeover Madness card.

Stampin' Up! Storybook Gnomes

Good Saturday morning! It's an unscheduled post!! I watch DIY Diva on Facebook and I won one of her give-aways last Saturday or so ago. Part of the deal to win was to agree to create a card with the items she would send. I agreed, as did others, and I was the lucky pick! She sent a lot of die cuts from the Gnomes Dies to play with, along with the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper and a piece of Balmy Blue & White 3/8" Double-Stitched Ribbon...did I ever have to put my thinking cap on. Here is what I created with the help of some stamps from Just For Fun.

I love puns and I think this fits the Alphabet Challenge "G" is for Giggle.

Thank you for stopping by today and thank you Leticia Hernandez for the win! Hope I did you proud!!

Stampin' Up! Happy Holly Days Fun Fold Friday

TGIF peeps! Welcome to Christmas in July!! Not only is my card a fun fold, it's a CASE of this card. Therefore, the measurements are included in that post.

The bird is from the retired Happy Holly Days Stamp Set. I colored him/her with a Light Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blend and Light Night of Navy Stampin' Blend. I colored the beak, legs and feet with the Ivory Stampin' Blend. The "Noel" sentiment is also from that stamp set. The musical notes are from Taylored Expressions, Of Thee I Sing Stamp Set. I added some retired Misty Moonlight dots and I'm sure you know why if you're a stamper!

The sentiment and tree are from the retired Whimsical Trees Stamp Set. The Designer Series Paper is the retired Beauty of the Earth.

Stampin' Up! Fern & Flora Friendship Card

Good Thursday morning, peeps. Today I am finally using items that are new but I haven't used AND I'm using some old. Take a look see...
