Stampin' Up! Zany Zebras and Sale-A-Bration 2021 Sneak Peek for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a color challenge.

I chose Old Olive, Pool Party and Early Espresso to make my card. You'll see a tad of Poppy Parade on the envelope front too.

My card base is Pool Party with a strip of wood grain DSP from the In Good Taste series. I have mats of Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Pool Party and the art panel. Measurements are listed below. I stamped the donkey outlines with Early Espresso and colored them in with my Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil and blended the color with a Blender Pen. I fussy cut one of them and adhered it to the art panel to cover up a smudge! The sentiment from Darling Donkeys (Sale-A-Bration 2021 January 5) is stamped in Old Olive as are the little doo dads.

This is the same fun fold that I did here.

The inside is simply a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using Old Olive ink for the sentiments from the Zany Zebras. The party hats from the same stamp set are stamped in Old Olive, Early Espresso and Pool Party. The envelope got another piece of the wood grain DSP.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll have time to hop.

Stampin' Up! Sneak Peek for January - June 2021 Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration

Thank you for stopping by to check out the Monday Morning Mystery Card #14.  I really appreciate your visits and comments.

Most of the product I used today will be in the January - June 2021 Mini Catalog, available to customers January 5, 2021. However, you can use anything current that you have.

I made the prototype for today's card here. Julie Davidson, if you read my blog, you can see how much I love this "flap fold".

My colors are Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green. I'm entering my card at the Color Throwdown Challenge #623. Green, aqua and pink...great colors, Broni!

I used the Friends are Like Seashells Stamp Set (Jan-June Mini), Heal Your Heart Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration 2021), Seashells 3D Embossing Folder (Jan-June Mini), Sand & Sea 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper (Jan-June Mini) and Playing with Patterns Resin Dots and Stitched Nested Labels Dies. Because I used an Embossing Folder and Dies, I'm playing at Let's Squash It!! Challenge #3.

Here is Edie's

Night of Navy base, “Boho  Indigo”  DSP.  Stamp set is Positive Thoughts for both sentiments and images, and the largest of the Stitched so Sweetly label dies.Embellishments Night of Navy organdy ribbon, Navy basic jewels and a couple of mini butterflies finished it off.

Measurements:

Flirty Flamingo Cardstock: 5 1/2" x 6 1/2"; 3 1/2" x 3 1/2
Coastal Cabana Cardstock: 2 3/4" x 4"
DSP: 2" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White Cardstock: 2 1/2" x 3 1/4" for embossing; 4" x 5 1/4" inner panel; scrap for sentiment

Instructions:
  1. On the piece of 5 ½” x 6 ½” piece of cardstock, score on the long side at 4 ¼”.
  2. Fold the 2 1/4" forward and burnish. This becomes your card base. Adhere the DSP to the flap.
  3. Score the 3 ½” x 3 ½” piece of cardstock at ¾”. Adhere the 2 ½” x 3 ¼” embossed cardstock to the square portion. Adhere a couple of strips of Tear and Tape or other strong double-sided tape to the right of the score line but don’t remove the backing.
  4. Take the piece with the square and score line, fold the flap to the inside and burnish. Take your WW 4” x 5 ¼” piece, line up the square with the fold at the right edge equidistant from the bottom and top of base. Add some liquid glue to the back of your mat and underneath the flap. Remove the Tear & Tape and adhere the mat with the folded flap to your card base.
  5. Stamp sentiment on Whisper White scrap and cut it out with Stitched Nest Label die. Using the next largest die, cut a mat out of Coastal Cabana cardstock. Adhere the sentiment to the CC mat.
  6. With the left flap tucked under the right flap, adhere your label with Dimensionals ONLY on the part that will be adhered to the left flap, allowing the right flap to nest under the label.
  7. On the inside, stamp the sentiment that will be hidden by the square flap and add other small stamps if you desire. Embellish the label.
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile."

Stampin' Up! Sabbatical (Sort of)

I have thought long and hard about blogging daily lately, entering challenges and being on the computer so much. I feel I need to refocus on how I spend my time.  I've decided to only blog on Mondays and Thursdays for the rest of the month.  I won't be blogging tomorrow but I hope you will check out the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop where you will find many beautiful projects by my teammates.

To my loyal followers, thank you for sticking with me. I'll be back with another Mystery Monday card December 14 and December 17 for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. After the first of the year, I hope to be back to daily if I have gotten my priorities in order.

A Time for Everything

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

 a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
 a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing (emphasis added for COVID);
 a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
 a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
 a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 ESV Translation

Have a blessed day.

Stampin' Up! Forever Fern for Amy's Inkin' Krew Team Blog Hop

Welcome back to another monthly Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop! If this is your first time for our hop, you're in for a treat!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a “celebrate” theme.  We can interpret that any way we want and I have chosen to think wedding or anniversary. I’m featuring the Forever Fern and So Sentimental stamp sets for my project.

My card base is Soft Sea Foam cardstock with DSP from Forever Greenery. I used a die from the Tasteful Labels Dies to cut out my sentiment from Forever Fern, which is stamped in Shaded Spruce ink. I colored three pearls with my Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends.

For the inside I stamped the sentiment from So Sentimental in Shaded Spruce. I stamped a few leaves from the Forever Fern stamp set in Soft Sea Foam ink.

This is a fun fold and Julie Davidson calls it a "flap tuck". Thank you, Julie, for the inspiration.

Okay, let's get hopping! Click on the "next" button to move forward to Karen Ksenzakovic's project. Click on the previous button to move back to the project created by Jaimie Babarczy.

Stampin' Up! Poinsettia Petals Birthday Card

Are you flying your flag at half staff today? In remembrance of those who lost their lives in Pearl Harbor 79 years ago, we are. If you are interested you can watch the streaming of events here.

My card today is for a December birthday. I used the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set and the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set to create it.

It's another Monday Mystery card and we're on #13! My card base is Just Jade cardstock and measurements are provided below. My snippets are from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series 6 x 6 pack. I used Poppy Parade ink and Blends, along with Shaded Spruce ink, Layering Circles Dies, an unknown circle die for the silver foil mat. Because I used snippets of DSP, I'm playing with folks from across the pond: Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper December 2020 and Pixie's Crafty Workshop Snippets Playground Challenge #392; yes, Di, I'd love to win your chevron die prize!

For the inside...

The flower is from Poinsettia Petals and the sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays.

This is a fun fold card and my inspiration came from Sharon Armstrong.

Here is Meg's creation using the same instructions for putting the supplies together

Basic Black card base.  World of Good Specialty DSP. The images were stamped and die cut with the Beautiful World Bundle, except for the sentiment which was cut with the Tags & Labels dies. The envelope was decorated with the same DSP and the compass was stamped in the lower left corner on the front of the envelope.

Edie's creation...
Basic Black for card base and Sweet Sorbet DSP (retired).  Prized Peony image double stamped with Pool Party ink and cut out with Peony Dies. Adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere to Stitched Rectangles. Sentiments from Life is Beautiful stamp set.  Holiday Rhinestones Basic Jewels embellished the card front.

I'm also entering my card at Pammie's Inky Pinkies ATG Challenge #2949 and Crafting Happiness Challenge #74 - Mostly Red (although the green is giving it a little competition!).

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our monthly Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop.

Measurements:

Card Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4" and 1 1/4"
DSP: 1" x 5 1/4", 2 3/4" x 5 1/4" (2)
Whisper White or Very Vanilla scrap for image and sentiments

Stampin' Up! Christmas Cards

I have been MIA for a couple of days. This week has been hectic and frustrating. My son, Gene, is helping me with a new laptop and getting all my files and programs transferred over. I am trying to learn Windows 10 after so many years of using Windows 7. If you have any pointers, I'm interested!

Thursday we had our Card Group Christmas luncheon and exchanged cards and gifts. A fun time was had by all. I'm waiting to get pics of the group but in the meantime, here are the cards I received. Everyone received different cards and the gifts were unique. Some are SU and others are not.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope to have a card to show you tomorrow if all goes right!

Masculine Birthday Card

Goodness, me, it's the middle of the week already! Today's card uses nothing that is Stampin' Up! with the exception of Basic Black cardstock. The images and sentiments are totally digital and my son helped me with it. I was commissioned to create a card for a man who runs a gun store and this is what my son and I came up with...

The card base is one from Close to My Heart. My mats are Basic Black cardstock and my white panels are Neenah Bright White cardstock.

I found the Happy Birthdays on my computer, cut and pasted 21 of them into Publisher. For the inside gun, I relied totally on my son. He used to be a Supervisor at OMax and knows his printing stuff! I made up my own sentiment. My customer was pretty sure the recipient would be thrilled with his card. I'll find out next Monday!

Thank you for stopping by today.

"no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed,
and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord
and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”

Stampin' Up! Zany Zebras Masculine Birthday Card

My card today is brought to you by the Zany Zebras Stamp Set. It's a very simple card to make. Card cuts will be listed below.

I just love these little guys. There are three different zebras and cute sentiments. I put off ordering this stamp set for the longest time but I couldn't hold out any longer!
My card base is Basic Black cardstock. The art panel and Silver Foil mat are cut with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.

The inside...

Linda Bedinger was my inspiration for this design. The Designer Series Paper I used is Timeless Elegance, which is retired and I've been hoarding it. I have no more room left in my craft closet so I'm trying to use as much old DSP as I can now. It's a sad state of affairs!! I stamped this zebra in Smoky Slate and stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black.

I'm entering my card in these challenges:

Dragonfly Journeys #141 - Joy (Holiday was the theme BUT not mandatory!)
Pammie's Inky Pinkies #2048 - Animals

Card Cuts:

Base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score and fold back at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4" for center of base

DSP: 4" x 5 1/4" inside panel

DSP: 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" for front fold

Silver Mat: 4 1/2" x 2 1/2", cut with Stitched Nested Label Die

Very Vanilla: Cut with Stitched Nested Label Die that fits the image and sentiment

Very Vanilla: 3" x 3" for inside sentiment/image

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Gallery Thinking of You Fun Fold Friday

Yay, it's Friday...a fun fold Friday at that! Here's what I created for today. My design came from Mystery Stamping night with Dani...
