Stampin' Up! City Sights Birthday

Good mid-week day, my stamping friends. Here it is August 7 already! My grandson's birthday is this month. He's an actor living in Manhattan so I used the City Sights Kit to create his card. I thought it was quite appropriate with the view he has from his balcony. Here's what the kit looks like. If you want to order it, better hurry because it's low inventory! Just click on the picture and it will take you to the SU site. Click on "find demonstrator" and type in my name. Then the rest is self-explanatory. I appreciate your business if you do!

Now, let's take a look at what I created...

This is an alternative to the kit. I used Boho Blue cardstock for my base and cut down one of the kit cards to 4" x 5 1/4".

I stamped the skyscrapers on a scrap of Gray Granite cardstock, using the Pebbled Path Ink Spot and fussy cut it. It came pretty close to the pre-cut one in the kit. That was in Basic Beige and didn't go with the color of the skyline I had chosen. It still doesn't go as nicely as I had hoped but it is what it is! I adhered it with Dimensionals.

For the sentiment, I glued 4 banners together to lift it up to the cut out. (The banners come in 4 different languages and I was only going to use the English version.) I adhered the top with liquid glue and the bottom with a strip of foam adhesive. I love the corrugated paper from the kit as a "mat".

For the inside...

I stamped the skyscrapers on a panel of Gray Granite cardstock. Again, it's stamped with Pebbled Path ink. The sentiment is stamped with Misty Moonlight ink and it's from the retired Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set.

My grandson is truly fabulous, brilliant and wonderful. I love to brag on him and hope he will enjoy his card. We cook together on Saturday night via Zoom. He is gaining confidence in cooking for his roommates and he is so much fun.

Happy birthday to Cupcake Inspirations as well. It's their 600th challenge, which means their 15th birthday. I hope you'll help them celebrate along with me!

I'm also playing at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and hope you'll visit Pam and enter a creation for her Anything Goes Challenge #2431.

Thank you for stopping by today, be blessed and be a blessing. I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop.

Stampin' Up! No Matter the Weather Tag

TGIF, peeps! Today is my next-to-last square that I am filling in for my team mate's Summer Bingo card game. I'm entering my project in a new-to-me challenge...Ally's Angels: Challenge #48 ATG, along with A Bit More Time to Craft July 2021 ATG.

Remember Wednesday I made this card with the No Matter the Weather kit? Well I decided to use more parts of the kit for my tag. So, more benefits by ordering any kit from the Kits Collection in my online store:

  • they are great if you are traveling
  • they come with full instructions
  • you can go rogue if you have additional supplies
  • sometimes you don't even have to stamp!
  • they are great if you have NO stamping supplies, except for scissors!!
  • it's really instant gratification!
Don't want to make cards? Well, then there are Crafting Kits as well!

These are great if you have young children or if you need party favors...or whatever strikes your fancy.

Thank you for stopping by today and tomorrow I'll have my last square filled in! It'll be the one marked "11" and I think you'll like it...I know I do.

Thank you, Jaimie, for helping to make the first half of July fun for me!

Stampin' Up! No Matter the Weather Note Card

Mid-week greetings! I don't know if you've heard, but Stampin' Up now has a Kits Collection available and you can purchase any of them through my online store. They are not in any catalog and can only be viewed through the online store. Click on the blue link to see what is available. There are 10 different kits. They are also only available while supplies last. So, if you can't find it online, that means it is sold out. There are so many benefits with these kits and I'll explain more in a later post.

My card today is one made with the No Matter the Weather Kit.

I created the top card (above) for today but I didn't put a sentiment on the front.

Take a look at what comes in the kit...

everthing you need except for a pair of paper snips (scissors) to make 9 cards!

Here's a closer look at the stamp set...

So, I used the first sentiment for the inside of my card...

You can see in the photo how I popped the boots up on the front with the Stampin' Dimensionals that are in the kit. The little clear resin dots are so cute for raindrops along with the raindrop stamp.

I haven't entered a card in the Word Art Wednesday: Anything Goes Challenge in a long time so today is the day! I'm also playing at Pammie's Inky Pinkies #2128.

Really, peeps, you need this card kit! How can you resist that cute little bunny! It's such a fun kit for children to work with this summer too.  Please do check them out!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll return tomorrow for our weekly Thursday Happy Inkin' Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! Notes of Kindness Kit

Good morning, peeps! Hope your weekend is going smoothly. Did you know Stampin' Up! has many kits to offer for helping you create cards? Why, yes, you can read more about some here.

My cards today are from a retired kit, which first came out in 2018 and I just opened the box! I had a request for occasion note cards with no sayings inside so here's what I created with a portion of the kit. I can't wait to polish it off! I even used a mini Paper Pumpkin gift box to hold them. Take a look-see...

Mini Paper Pumpkin Box decorated with a gold piece from Forever Gold ($12.00 while supplies last)

I didn't use all of the kit ingredients but just brought in other stamps and dies. You can, no doubt, find this kit on eBay or elsewhere, but here's a kit you can find in my online store...just click on the photo to be transported!
Looking Up Kit - $29.00 (available until 5/3/21 while supplies last)

I haven't played in these challenges for awhile so I think today is the day!
A Place to Start #4 - Anything Goes "Make it Elegant" - I think the gift box has a touch of elegance with the Gold Foil

Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see you tomorrow with either a mystery card, a masculine card or a makeover card...I love M & M's!!

Stampin' Up! Most Wonderful Time Christmas Thank You Card

Do you have the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley? I was gifted the stamp set last year for doing a good deed so this year I ordered the refill.  I LOVE this kit. It has beautiful DSP and stickers. Let me show you what I mean...

I took a piece of one of the DSP patterns and cut it to 3 1/4" x 5 1/2". I adhered it to a Very Vanilla Thick Card Stock base 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2". Before I adhered it to the base, I took the little berry stamp from Poinsettia Petals and stamped along the sides with Real Red and Old Olive inks. Out of a scrap of gold Brushed Metallic card stock, I cut an oval with the Stitched Shapes Dies and adhered it to the DSP with Stampin' Dimensionals. Then I took the deer sticker from the kit and stuck it on. Card front done! Easy peasy!!

For the inside...

I had a strip of DSP left over from the envelope flap so I adhered it to the bottom of the inside base. I stamped the sentiment from Poinsettia Petals in Real Red ink directly on the card base.

Thank you for stopping by today and if you'd like to order ...

just click on the photo and it will take you directly to my online store and the product medley.

I'm entering my card at:

Thank you so much for visiting today and tomorrow I'll have another card made with this kit.

Stampin' Up! Lots of Happy Friendship Card

The Lots of Happy Card Kit is one of my favorites. I used it two years ago when we flew to Albany, NY and I couldn't take a lot of supplies with me as my hubby was in a wheelchair and we also had the walker. I used up most of the kit but I got it out the other day to try and finish it off. This is a great kit and it is still available here. If you would like to see cards I created with it, just type in "Lots of Happy Card Kit" in the search button on my right side bar.

The "hello" is a stamp from Beauty Abounds. It is cut out with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly set using a scrap of Gorgeous Grape Card Stock. I colored the berries with my Light and Dark Highland Heather Blends. The leaves are colored with Light and Dark Old Olive Blends. The gold strip is from the edge of what was left of the gold foil banner stickers.

I had some assorted butterflies in my stash that I had punched some time ago so I added them as embellishments both on the front and inside.

The stamp sets I used on the inside are Beauty Abounds and Itty Bitty Greetings.

Unfortunately, my card kit got thrown around in the suitcase when it was loaded on the way home so the corners are a little bent. However, my friend who will be receiving it won't care because she will just deconstruct the card, make it into a new one and send it on its merry way to another recipient!

I'm playing today at Time Out. Their challenge is
