Stampin' Up! Artistic Sympathy Card

Welcome to Monday Makeover Madness. Well, it's not quite a makeover because it is the companion card to yesterday's post! When you create the black and white combo with the intricate Artistic Dies, you can end up with two cards. I'll show you what I mean with the first one being today's card and the second, yesterday's card.

Pretty cool, huh? Same ingredients, totally different look. I do think I like the first one better.

Have a great day peeps and stay warm. Can you believe tomorrow is February 1?

Stampin' Up! Inspired Thoughts Sympathy Card

Good Sunday morning, peeps! Are you snowed in? It was 37 degrees here in southwest Florida this morning. Warm compared to some!

I watched a video by Connie Stewart to create my card for today. I admit it was not easy for me with the intricate die from the Artistic Dies and the Adhesive Sheets. My embossing machine was not making the greatest impression for all the nooks and crannies! But, here's the end result...

In addition to the Artistic Dies, I used the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set for the sentiment, the Catching Butterflies Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) for the White Craft Ink butterflies at the top. At the bottom I used three Black Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The sentiment was cut out with the Lovely Labels Punch and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I'm entering my card at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends #174 - ATG.

Thank you for stopping by today. May you stay warm and have power during the blizzard if it has hit your area.

Stampin' Up! Love & Happiness Valentine Card

Good brrrr Saturday morning from southwest FL where it's 50 degrees! In the heat of the moment, I went to my craft room and whipped up a card inspired by:

My card base is Magenta Madness with a mat of Misty Moonlight.

I used a retired Hearts & Stars Decorative Mask to create my hearts in the three challenge colors as well. I lightly sponged the Basic White panel with matching ink.

In my stash I had the Misty Moonlight heart from the Bouquet of Love 3d Hybrid Embossing Folder and a piece of White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon. So, I adhered the ribbon to the card front with a bit of tape and then placed the heart over it with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added 5 Just Jade 2020-2022 In Color Square Gems to the card front. I also stamped the sentiment from the Love & Happiness Stamp Set in Magenta Madness ink. Card front done! I haven't decided what to do with the inside yet.

Thanks for stopping by this chilly Saturday morning.

Stampin' Up! Last a Lifetime Wedding Card

Today I created my card with the foiling technique. I hadn't done it in awhile and I came across my supplies when I was searching for some missing items.

I’m using the Unity  Butterfly Fly Away Toner Card Fronts and Gold Shattered Glass Deco Foil. I used Stampin' Up! Last a Lifetime Stamp Set for the sentiments.

The Toner Card Fronts are perfect for easy cards. I blended on some color with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks and then did the foiling. I love that the butterfly toner images are printed on cardstock. You can do so much with them to make your cards sparkle and shine. I was disappointed after I completed the process that my sponging didn't show like it did before the foiling process. I need to search out some videos to show me how to do this properly. Plus the foil is flaking off. Perhaps I am missing a step or there is another reason. BUT, don't you love how it sparkles?

I cut a gold foil frame with one of my Stitched Rectangles Dies. I used my trimmer to cut the toner card front. I used the Ornate Frames Dies to cut out my sentiment and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals. My card base is Basic Black cardstock. It has enough glimmer to it so I didn't think I needed to add any embellishments.

The inside is simple...

I adhered a gold mat for my Very Vanilla sentiment panel. I punched the corners with my Detailed Trio Punch. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink but it just looked too "blah". So, I ran the panel through my embossing machine with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I'm now wondering how it will be trying to write on it when the time comes. Probably a felt-tip writer will work the best. If you have any ideas, let me know.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you are heading into a great weekend. If you are living in the northeast, may the blizzard be kind to you.

Stampin' Up! Always in My Heart Anniversary Card

Welcome to another HITBH! If you came from Jaimie's site, I'm glad you are continuing the hop. If you haven't then I hope you'll continue to hop using my links below. No matter what, I'm glad you're here. Today we have a theme challenge ...

and here is what I created for it...

The colors are Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Freesia. The stamp set is Always in My Heart and the dies are the Floral Heart Dies. I had to blow off the dust on both but they're still in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog!

I started by stamping the "Happy Anniversary" in VersaMark ink on a scrap of Fresh Freesia cardstock. I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder from the Basics Embossing Powders pack. Then I heat set it and cut it out with the banner die from the Floral Heart Dies. Heat embossing is not my jam so I get that out of the way first!

Next I cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of striped DSP from the Sweet Talk 12 x 12 pack and adhered it to the card base with liquid glue. Since I still had my Scalloped Contours Dies on my desk, I used the second largest die to cut out another pattern from the same DSP and adhered that to the card front. I glued the banner on and added two Pearl Basic Jewels. Card front done!

For the inside, I used the flowery heart die on a scrap of Fresh Freesia and adhered it to the inside. Once again I forgot to put the card stock on an adhesive sheet! I know some of my team mates have experienced that!! I used another stamp from Always in My Heart for the sentiment. A scrap of the DSP finished the inside.

Clicking on the "next" button will take you to TOK (the other Karen!). Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. Thank you for stopping by and hopping with us!

Stampin' Up! Daisy Lane Special Moments Fun Fold

Good Tuesday morning, my friends! I started my day watching a video by Linda Bauwin for this fun fold. She calls it a double opening fun fold. Here's why...

I used the Special Moments (Sale-A-Bration item) Stamp Set for the sentiments and the Daisy Lane Stamp Set for the images. I stamped four daisies in Gray Granite ink on a scrap of Basic White and punched them out with the Medium Daisy Punch. I colored the center with my Light Polished Pink Blend.

My card base is Granny Apple Green cardstock with a panel of Daffodil Afternoon DSP (Sale-A-Bration item). On a piece of Basic White cardstock (3 1/2" x 5", scored on 5" side at 2 1/2") I stamped the inside with the sentiment and fern. I also adhered a 2 1/2" x 1/4" GAG strip. Then I adhered a mat of GAG (2 1/4" x 3 1/4") to the front of the fold.

I stamped the sentiment from Special Moments in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Basic White (2" x 3") and adhered that to the mat. I adhered the daisies together and added them in the corners with Dimensionals.

The inside is just a panel of Basic White (4" x 5 1/4") and a strip of DSP (4" x 1/2") and what was left over from GAG strip.

I'm entering my card at Creative Creases #24 - Anything Goes with a Fun Fold. I wanted to add her logo but Blogger wouldn't cooperate! I do have a lot of problems with Blogger. Anyone else?

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you liked my CASE of Linda Bauwin's design.

Stampin' Up! Friendly Hello Birthday Card

Good Monday Morning Makeover! Today I CASE'd my team leader's card. You can see Amy's card here

My card base is Basic White Thick cardstock. I cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of Friendly Hello DSP (Sale-a-Bration item) and glued it to the front of the card.

Next I cut a piece of Pattern Party DSP with the second to largest die from the Scalloped Contours Dies. While I had that die out, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the bird from the Friendly Hello Photopolymer Stamp Set (also a Sale-a-Bration item)  in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it in with Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends, Dark Gray for the branch and Light Pale Papaya for the flowers. I took the dotted stamp from Friendly Hello and stamped it 5 times to add a little more interest.

Now, if I had been paying more attention to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge TTTC145, I would have had 2 TTT's. But, alas, I used a smaller die from the Scalloped Contours for my sentiment instead of an oval. But, I did get a TTT diagonally from the upper right to the lower left. Thank you, Claire, for a great board!

I stamped the sentiment from the Friendly Hello stamp set in VersaMark ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock. I sprinkled the image with black embossing powder from the Basics Embossing Powders pack and heat embossed it. I adhered it with liquid glue and added an embellishment from the Classic Matte Dots.

For the inside, I cut two more scalloped panels and added a sentiment I had in my stash. It's from the Many Messages Cling Stamp Set, which has a matching die. I adhered it with Black Stampin' Dimensionals.

I'm also playing at Die Cut Divas - Flowers,  and 2 Crafty Critter Crazy Challenge #58 - Anything Goes with a Featured Creature

Stampin' Up! Giggle Greetings

Today's card is another we made at our Thursday card group. Sue L. provided the kit and had the papers pretty much die cut for us. I have no idea what company the patterned paper is from but I do know the stamp set is the retired Giggle Greetings.

The sentiment is half of a whole one. The rest of it is inside.

It's called a "Diagonal Cut Fun Fold". I made a similar card four years ago and this is one of my least favorite fun folds because it can't stand on it's own. I figured out how to make it work but I never said how in my post! I looked at my photos and it was clear as mud...lol! Here's a link to a video I just found showing how to create the fun fold!

Don't you just love the patterned paper that is on the inside? It reminds me of the bandana card I did a few years ago.

I'm playing today at Sunday Stamps 275 Cool Winter Love. There are two shades of red on my card and the bowl is colored with a Light Gray Granite Stampin' Blend.

Thanks for stopping by today and let me know if you've ever done this fun fold before and how it turned out.

Have a blessed day.

Stampin' Up! Bring on the Cake Birthday Card

Good Saturday morning, peeps! Thursday our card group got together to celebrate two birthdays. We created a pull tab flip card fun fold using retired stamp sets. Sue M. provided the kit using instructions from Tami White. However, I had a problem with mine so when I got home, I watched Dawn Griffith make the card and finished it up. Here's how my card turned out...

We used the Bring on the Cake and Big Day Stampin Up! Stamp Sets. Did someone mention "bring on the cake"? Okay, here it is. It was a cannoli cake that Sue got from Publix.

Now that you have finished salivating, back to the card to see what happens when you pull the tab...

and when you open the main part of the card...

I'm entering my card at:

Creative Creases #24 Anything with a Fun Fold

Allsorts Week 660 For a Child and

Seize the Birthday #230 Anything Goes with the optional topping of Embossing, which I did not do!

Thank you for stopping by today and have a great rest of your weekend.

Stampin' Up Love & Happiness Anniversary Card

Well, I'm back from Disney and happy to be home! Today's card was supposed to be yesterday's card for the Happy Inkin' Blog Hop but Blogger wouldn't cooperate with the permalink. Since I was traveling, I chose to drop out rather than deal with it and mess up the hop!

I thought I'd share the sketch with you. I used the Love & Happiness Bundle to create my card. The card base is Thick Basic White with a panel of Sweet Talk DSP. I ran a piece of Basic White through my embossing machine with the Bouquet of Love Hybrid EF and matching dies. I used the smaller heart die and cut it out from Real Red cardstock.

Next I took a piece of White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon, made a loop and adhered it to the card front with a glue dot. I attached the embossed Basic White heart with Stampin' Dimensionals.

On the red heart, I stamped "to the cutest couple ever" in Real Red ink. It doesn't show up well in the photo, but it does in real life. I attached the left part of the heart to the white one with liquid glue. Card front done!

For the inside...

I stamped another sentiment from the Love & Happiness Stamp Set and added a strip of the DSP on the bottom.

I'm entering my card for the third and last time at the Alphabet Challenge "U" is for unequal...all different shaped hearts! I'm also playing at TGIF Challenges #352 Inspiration Challenge.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you are heading into a fun weekend.

Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin December 2021 Get Well Card

Happy Tuesday, peeps! I had a fun day at Epcot yesterday...so much so that I switched my park reservation from Hollywood Studios to Epcot for today! I only managed to walk 4.33 miles and I usually walk 8. I'll see if I can do better today. Speaking of doing better, take a look at my punny card for today.

I brought the kit with me but forgot there was no block to stamp with so I used the TV remote. Obviously, I couldn't see to get it straight!

For the inside, I decided to try using the stamp packet and that worked better because it was clear!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope to make another card for tomorrow. Thursday is our Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop and I'm all set for that.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Golf Card

Good Monday Morning Makeover Madness, peeps! Yesterday I showed you the card I won from the DIY Diva. This is her card...

and this is what I created with the card kit I also won...

The card base is Gray Granite cardstock, 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 4 1/4" and 5 1/2". This is the book binding fun fold. There are tons of videos out there on how to create this and it is very simple to make. Leticia had cut all the pieces for the card (with the exception of the Happy Birthday).  I just made some minor adjustments except for the base where I used my own cardstock rather than the one she included as hers was already cut and folded but going the wrong direction for my idea.

On the book binder edge, I adhered a strip of Beauty of the Earth DSP as a mat from another pattern from Beauty of the Earth. I stamped the "happy" from the retired Vertical Greetings Stamp Set in Night of Navy. I added three Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

For the book part, I adhered a 4" x 4" piece of Beauty of the Earth.  Leticia had already cut the trees with the Beautiful Trees Dies. I adhered them with liquid glue to the front.  With the green strip, I used a die from Basic Borders to create the hill. I adhered a scrap of Night of Navy to a piece of Adhesive Foam and cut out the Happy Birthday from the Birthday Chick Dies and adhered it to the front. Card front done!

For the inside...

I cut her panel, that she included, down to 4" x 4" and adhered part of a strip included in the kit. That paper is also from Beauty of the Earth.

The golf club, flagstick and sentiment are from the retired Clubhouse Stamp Set. The images are stamped in Gray Granite and the sentiment in Night of Navy.

Thank you for stopping by today and grab some M & M's before you leave. Tomorrow will probably be foodie pics from Epcot's Festival of the Arts. But you never know...I may get out a Paper Pumpkin Kit or one of our card kits!
