Stampin' Up! World of Good Memories & More Pack Birthday Card

This is the second card that I have made this week with the M & M Pack and the large card base. Here's a refresher of the first one.

I love the sparkle and shine of the 6" x 4" card from the pack so I'm entering my card at Creative Knockouts #362I wrapped a piece of gold thread from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack "around the world", adhering it to the back with tape.

The quote is from one of the 3" x 4" cards in the pack. I used a die from the Rectangle Stitched Dies to cut it out. I placed it on the gold trim with Dimensionals. I then adhered the world (Columbus would have been right in this instance...the world is flat!) to a Whisper White mat. I adhered that to a Mossy Meadow mat and that to the card base.

UnstampaBelles is a challenge site where you must do NO stamping! This month they are challenging participants to create their own background. I think I met that challenge with my card front.

I am pleased with how it turned out and I thank my team mate, Donna Leonard, for allowing me to CASE her card.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

Stampin' Up! Waterfront Birthday Card

Today I'm using the Stampin' Up! Waterfront Stamp Set and their Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set along with the Jeep from Good Vibes Stamp Set sold by Joy Clair.

My Godson's mother is celebrating her 51st birthday next week. She and her son have been traveling through the Smokies in their RV. She has also been towing her Jeep, Sadie, and has proven she can do it. She enjoys taking Sadie off roading and has become quite a lady of leisure since she retired.  Her husband, unfortunately, has not been able to retire yet but he was able to fly up to spend two weeks with them. I'm entering my card in the CRAFT Challenge #566 Sport/Leisure.

She has  posted many photos of the mountains and adventures in TN so I made this card for her.

The mountains, trees and water are from the Waterfront Stamp Set. The inks used are Crumb Cake, Shaded Spruce, and Balmy Blue. I used the block watercolor technique with So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze stamp pads. I did this technique before here. It never turns out the same and that's what's so fascinating about it. I was trying to achieve a fall-is-in-the-air feel.

I embossed the bottom edge with a retired SU Embossing Folder, which was available during Sale-A-Bration 2020, to make it look like a stone road or state forest parking area. I sponged it with Gray Granite ink. The top edge is sponged with Pool Party. I am so wanting to get back to NC, GA and TN in September!

Again, this is not my usual size card but I am wanting to use the cards/envelopes my friend gave me. So, the art panel is 6" x 4" and I adhered it to a mat of 6 1/4" x 4 1/4" Cherry Cobbler Card Stock.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set and I cut it out with a die from the Stitched Frames set. I sponged it with So Saffron, to reflect the sun, and adhered it with Dimensionals.

The Jeep I colored with Stampin' Blends. I also put Fine Tip Glue on the windshield, headlights and running lights to make it look more realistic. I should have put a reflection in the window but time and skill prevented that!

I'd also like to enter my card at Color My Heart Color Dare: Color #405. I went straight down the right side, across the middle and down the middle as well using Stampin' Up Colors.

The inside I kept plain and simple with a sentiment from the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you are planning to have a fun weekend. Stay safe!

Stampin' Up! Wrapped in Plaid Christmas Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a sketch challenge. I can't wait to see what the other team members created. Hop along with us at the bottom of my post.

Image may contain: text that says 'Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop August 6 Sketch Challenge'
It's Christmas in August again!  I used what I thought was called the Wrapped in Plaid Stamp Set to create my card BUT, it's Perfectly Plaid!! Sorry, there was no time to change my link and we are still getting used to the catalog which came out two days ago! While I'm at it, there may have been a little artistic license involved as I flipped it!

Over at ABC Christmas they have a challenge that involves "P" is for Pine Trees so my trees will work for that.

My card base is Very Vanilla. I cut a Very Vanilla mat so I could emboss it using the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder. I sponged the trees lightly with Mossy Meadow ink.

I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Whale of a Time 6" x 6" pack that resembled branches. I cut the larger piece of DSP from the Brightly Gleaming 12" x 12" pack. I ran a piece of Old Oliver ribbon around the seam. That's from All the Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack. I secured it with tape on the back and adhered the front to the card base with liquid glue.

Using Gold Foil and a frame from the Ornate Layers Dies, I cut a mat for the sentiment and mistakenly picked up a scrap of Whisper White rather than Very Vanilla. I didn't realize it until everything was adhered to the front with Dimensionals and glue dots! I'm on a roll with not being perfect!

The inside is plain and simple. I had a piece of DSP left over so I adhered it to the side, stamped the plaid tree in Granny Apple Green and stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow. Card done! Craftyhazelnut always has a weekly Christmas Challenge. She's on #501 this week. She also has a monthly Patterned Paper Challenge. Stinkin' Inkers has a monochromatic challenge at their site. There was a problem with Blogger Thursday, which is when their challenge usually posts, and the problem was finally solved August 8, Saturday. So, my card is not really back dated :-)

I hope you enjoyed my card today and thank you for joining the hop. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Eva Dobilas. Clicking on the names below will take you directly to the other team members and their projects.

Stampin' Up! Boho Indigo Birthday Card

Today I'm using stamps from the Boho Indigo Product Medley. Here's what it looks like...

If you click on the photo, you can find out more about it.

I'm playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #345 with their colorful challenge.

Here is my creation...

Wowzers ... colorful, yes? Fortunately, the Bumblebee patterned paper from Flowers for Every Season tames down the Magenta Madness card base.

I stamped the sentiment from Boho Indigo in Coastal Cabana on a scrap of Whisper White and, likewise, the jar on a scrap of Coastal Cabana. The jar is cut out with a die from the product medley. I just had to add Magenta Madness flowers with Dimensionals to make it pop!

The ribbon wrapped around the Bumblebee DSP is from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.

I punched the sentiment out with the scalloped heart from the Heart Punch Pack. I adhered it with Dimensionals. To finish off the front, I adhered three Bumblebee Enamel Dots.

Here's the inside...

Did I wake you up? I adhered a mat of Coastal Cabana card stock and then added a panel of Whisper White card stock on which I had stamped an image and sentiments from the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set. I punched three of the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch.

I'd also like to enter my card in the Krafty Chicks Anything Goes #518 challenge.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll come back tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! World of Good Memories & More Birthday Card

A friend gave me envelopes and card bases that are not my usual size. The M & M pack is perfect for them. Here's what's in the pack...

and here is how I used it...

I used one of the 4" x 6" cards and adhered it with liquid glue. I cut one of the smaller cards, that had the quote on it, with one of the Rectangle Stitched Dies.

For the inside I cut a piece of Old World Specialty Designer Series Paper 4" x 6". It's important to adhere it in the right direction...ask me how I know! Fortunately, the liquid glue allowed me to get off quickly! In Mossy Meadow ink, I stamped the sentiment from Timeless Tropical on a scrap of Whisper White card stock. I cut it out with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

Easy peasy! I thank my teammate, Donna Leonard, for inspiring me to get this pack out again. I have no idea where I put the stickers that come with this pack but once I find them, I may put them on the right side or on the envelope. Pardon me while I go clean up my craft area!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Stampin' Up! Nothing's Better Than Birthday Card

Yeppers, it's Monday Makeover Madness once again. I posted this card July 26...

and remade it to look like this...

The Nothing's Better Than Stamp Set is fantastic! I used my Light and Dark Soft Suede Blends to color my chocolate caramels...my favorite...after I had stamped the image in Early Espresso. I used a snippet of DSP from In Good Taste for the chocolate bar :-) so I hope Diane at Pixie's Snippets Playground - Challenge #383 will enjoy too.

"A day without" is stamped in Early Espresso. I used my Early Espresso Stamp N Write Marker to ink up just the "is like, ummm..." and then for the inside I used my ink pad for the rest of it. I could have cut the stamp apart but that always makes me nervous. The "happy birthday" is stamped in Crumb Cake ink using the retired Label Me Bold Stamp Set.

This was one of the cards I made for a speed challenge but I forgot to set the stop watch and I didn't want to make it again! But, I am entering it at Pammie's Inky Pinkies 2031 ATG and A Perfect Time to Craft August 2020 #8.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Measurements:

Card Base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score and fold at 4 1/4"
Early Espresso Mat: 4 7/8" x 3 7/8"
Very Vanilla: 4 1/4" x 3"
DSP: 3 1/2" x 1/2"

Stampin' Up! Toile Christmas Card

Well, I didn't make Christmas in July so we'll have Christmas in August with the Toile Christmas Stamp Set. I must say I am enamored with this card and I thank Ann Schach, Karen Ilsley, Mary Deatherage and Amy Koenders for inspiring me. They each did that in different ways.

My card base is Whisper White Thick Card Stock with a mat of Balmy Blue and a mat of Feels Like Frost DSP (available 8/4/20 returning from last year).

The banner is Balmy Blue Card Stock and Whisper White, which was embossed with the Greenery EF. I punched the ends with the Banner Triple Punch. The rectangle is Balmy Blue Card Stock with Balmy Glue Glimmer Paper (available 8/4/20).

The Mistletoe Sprig is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and the leaves are colored with Light Shaded Spruce Blends and die cut with a die from Christmas Cardinals Dies.

The sentiment is stamped in Just Jade ink and cut with the 2 1/8" square from Stitched Shapes Dies but I turned it into a rectangle.

I used liquid glue to adhere everything with the exception of the sentiment and outer parts of the sprig. The Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems are just that! But they won't be available until 8/4/20 when the new mini catalog is released to customers.

The inside is clean and simple using the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set ...

Today I'm entering my card in these challenges:

Creative Knockouts: #361 Tic Tac Toe and, again, I went straight down the middle...dry embossing, image and sentiment.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by on the last day of the weekend (at least it is here!).

Stampin' Up! Whiskey Business Masculine Birthday Card

I had a lot of fun creating my card with the Whiskey Business Stamp Set. This set is perfect for a man (Allsorts Challenge Blog: 583/84 Make It Masculine) but there's no reason it couldn't be used for a woman. I saw a card done by Jan B. where she double heat embossed the bottle and glasses. I decided to heat emboss the bottle with clear embossing powder and I used  Fine Tip glue on the glasses. Here's a close up...

You can see the sparkle of the glue, especially on the left hand glass. I like the glue effect rather than the embossing powder.

Here's the entire front...

and the inside...

I love to color with alcohol markers so that's why this card was such a joy for me to create. I'm entering my card at Colour Crazy Craft Challenge: Week 30 - Anything GoesI would be remiss if I didn't play at Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper August Challenge! Creative Knockouts has a Tic Tac Toe Board #361 and I always love to play that. I went straight down the middle with embossing, image and sentiment. You can see the board if you click on the link.

Speaking of boards, here's one to show you what I used to make this card. If you have any questions, please leave them in a comment with your email address. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Gallery Thinking of You Fun Fold Friday

Yay, it's Friday...a fun fold Friday at that! Here's what I created for today. My design came from Mystery Stamping night with Dani...
