Stampin' Up! Take to the Sky SU Demos Fun Fold Monthly Blog Hop

Hello my FB peeps! Welcome to our monthly Stampin' Up! Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop! I made this fun fold August 1 but did it in a larger size. You can see it here. Here's the scaled down version for the hop today...

The participating demonstrators are listed at the end of my post. I hope you will choose to hop along. Let me show you the larger photo of my card...

My card basis is Starry Sky card stock (retired) 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".

The inside Designer Series is 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" cut from retired  2022-2024 In Color (Starry Sky).

I cut the front of the base from the center (2 3/4") diagonally to the bottom corners.

Next I cut a piece of Take to the Sky DSP (retired) 5 1/4" x 4", marked the center at 2 10/16" and cut diagonally to the bottom corners. I adhered the smaller triangles to the card front triangles.

For the inside...

I cut a piece of Basic White card stock at 5 1/4" x 4", marked the center at 2 10/16" and cut diagonally to the bottom corners. I adhered the big triangle upside down to the base after stamping it with the sentiment from Unbounded Love

Then I took another piece of Take to the Sky DSP (5 1/4" x 4") and cut diagonally to the corners from the 2 10/16" center mark. I adhered the big triangle to the back of the front. Be sure to have your DSP going directionally when you cut. I lucked out cuz I wasn't even paying attention to the direction that the planes would be on the inside!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will hop along with the list of demos.

Stampin' Up! Painterly Pears Encouragement Cards

Good morning, my stamping friends. Hope you are having a great weekend. I have a couple of church friends who are having a really rough time of it so I made a couple of cards using the  Perfectly Pears Stamp Set.

My card base is Secret Sea card stock, the mat is Darling Duckling card stock and the art panel is Painterly Pears DSP. The sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink and I added three Low Profile Sparkle Dots.

For the second card, I used the same sheet of DSP, stamped the sentiment in Secret Sea ink and added a Brushed Brass Butterfly.

The inside of each card is the same sentiment and image.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for my Makeover Monday.

Stampin' Up! Anniversary Card

Happy mid-week, my stamping friends. It's almost mid-month as well. I made my card today for a challenge. Let me show you...

Now for the challenge...

For Thing 1's challenge I had to use 3 colors (neutrals not included), 2 layers or more (card base not included) and 1 spotlight technique. So, I used Darling Duckling card stock for the base, black cardstock for a mat and the Basic White layer for my art panel. In addition to the Darling Duckling color, the butterflies are gold. I used Light & Dark Lemon Lolly Blends to color the flowers, Light & Dark Old Olive Blends for the leaves and Dark Timid Tiger Blend for the ring around the center of the flower.  The center of the flower is colored with a Dark Crumb Cake Blend but that didn't count. I fussy cut the image from the Blessings of Home Stamp Set (retired) and adhered to the whole bouquet image. I haven't done the spotlight technique in 4 years!

I'm playing with Thing 3's challenge of including butterflies and blooms but I have no birds. The alternate challenge is Triple B so I'm playing there as well.

Thing 2 wants us to play along with the sketch at TSOT #676. I interpreted the sketch in a mirror image and a totally different shape. What do you think?

Can you see it? I can!!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll play along with the Double Trouble #197 challenge. They are so much fun and have a fantastic design team.

Stampin' Up! Wildflower Birthday Card

Good Monday morning, stamping friends. Hope you had a marvelous weekend. My card today was inspired by Creative Moments with G. I changed it up a bit with different measurements but I hope to CASE hers and mine next week. The reason I changed from squares (G's shape) to a rectangle was because I was cutting up ephemera from the Wildflower Birthday DSP and I had scored on the wrong edges for the flaps...lol! Take a look see...

The "dear friend" is from the retired Spotlight on Nature Stamp Set and is stamped in retired Starry Sky Ink. The card base is also Starry Sky Card Stock (retired).

Underneath the flaps is more of the DSP and a sentiment I had in my stash. It coordinated with the pinks in the paper so I went with it...no idea from where it came!

Opening up the main part of the card, you see this...

I will eventually stamp it with a stamp from the Coneflower Celebrations...

 CONEFLOWER CELEBRATION BUNDLE (ENGLISH)

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our monthly Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop. You'll be in for a treat and it might possibly cool you down from this blasted summer heat!

Stampin' Up! City Sights Birthday

Good morning my stamping friends. My grandson has a birthday coming up and he lives in Manhattan. He also has access to the Hudson River on his walks or bike rides so I created this note-size card for him. I was inspired by Pat Fairless.

I'm entering it in The Paper Players challenge PP749 as Stef has decided on a theme of water for this week.

I used the City Sights Kit as it is almost perfect for the skyline of Manhattan. I started out by masking the top and watercoloring the bottom with various Stamp N Write Markers for the reflections of the buildings on the water. When that was dry, I stamped the sentiment from Unbounded Love in Versafine Onyx Black. Then I watercolored the top using Boho Blue Ink. I stamped the birds in the Versafine. The birds are from the retired Sailing Home Stamp Set.

I stamped the images with the stamp from the kit in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Light and Dark Stampin' Blends. I fussy cut them and glued one to the left and the other I adhered with Dimensionals.

The art panel is adhered to a mat of Boho Blue Card Stock, which is retired. That is mounted on the note card.

Since my grandson likes simplicity, I stamped the inside with additional sentiments from Unbounded Love and just added a narrow strip of corrugated Boho Blue card stock from the kit to carry on the water theme.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Stampin' Up! Otterly Adorable for the Creative Creases Challenge #106 Anything Goes with a Fun Fold

Welcome to our Anything Goes With a Fun Fold Challenge. If you haven't played at Creative Creases Challenge before, what are you waiting for? Hop on over to Challenge #106. We'd love to see your fun fold creation. Here's a snapshot of mine...

I watched a video by Alyson Mayo and she calls this an M-Fold Card. It's a 6" x 6" card. Let me show you a larger photo...

My base is a piece of 12" x 12" Lemon Lime Twist card stock (retired) and is cut at 12" x 6", scored at 6". The center, of course, is at the 3" mark and you cut from that point down to the corners, diagonally.

The DSP (Otterly Adorable - Last Chance List) on the two triangles that result from those cuts are formed by cutting a piece 5 3/4" x 5 3/4", cut from 2 7/8" center to the corners diagonally. Adhere with liquid glue.

For the inside, you will need a piece of DSP that measures 5 7/8" x 5 7/8". Adhere that with liquid glue.

For the triangle that shows on the back side of the front, you will need a piece of colored card stock that measures 5 7/8" x 5 7/8" . Find the center (2 15/16"?) and cut diagonally from there to each bottom corner. The two resulting triangles can be saved for another project. The big triangle can be embossed (Seaside - retired) and adhered with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from Unbounded Love in Early Espresso before I embossed it.

After the fact, I adhered some embellishments but I didn't take another photo. I also turned this into an A2 card, which I will post on August 26th with directions.

Thank you for stopping by today and I can't wait to see all the creativity from the team.  Be sure to check us out at CCC#106 and we hope to see your entry there! Remember, you have a month to participate. .

Stampin' Up! Geared Up Garage Masculine Birthday Card

Good morning my stamping friends. Can you believe we have arrived at the end of July already? My card today was created for my 17 year old Godson who now owns a red muscle car. For the focal point on my card, I used the Geared Up Garage for a likeness of his car.

It's a CASE of my card that I created back in August 2022! Believe it or not, I had all the parts cut and they were inside the stamp case!

I haven't entered a challenge in awhile so I've decided to play at I Spy with My Little Eye Challenge #28

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our monthly Creative Creases Challenge blog hop.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Gallery Thinking of You Fun Fold Friday

Yay, it's Friday...a fun fold Friday at that! Here's what I created for today. My design came from Mystery Stamping night with Dani...
