Stampin' Up! Beauty of Tomorrow Fun Fold Thank You Card

TGIF, peeps, and what better day than Friday for a fun fold. I watched my teammate, Jaimie B., create the fun fold on her FB page. She got it from Jacki's card on LeeAnn Greff's blog! It's really easy so I hope you'll try it if you haven't already. This is a new fun fold for me so I'm entering my card in the Time Out Challenge #204 - "New" Theme.

Most of the product I am using will retire January 3, 2022, so if you would like to purchase anything, just click on the "Shop In My Online Store" tab at the top of my post.

My card base is Blackberry Bliss cardstock, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4". The Basic White mat is 4" x 5 1/4". The Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper  is 3 7/8" x 5 1/8". I adhered all the layers together with liquid glue but not gluing in the center, just along the edges. You'll see why in a sec.

Next I opened the card and layed it out to cut the scalloped circle with the Layering Circle Dies, using my embossing machine. It cut through perfectly with three turns, 3 perfect separate circles because of no glue! With the white layer it cut through, I used another scalloped circle to cut it so it fit perfectly on the Blackberry Bliss circle cut out. I'll save the DSP circle cut out for another card.

I stamped the "Thank You" from the Arctic Bears Stamp Set in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set it. I added three Metallic Gold Pearls.

Then I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock (8" x 5 1/4", scored at 4" and 6"). I made the mountain fold at 6" and the valley fold at 4".

Next I cut the two different patterns from the DSP at 1 3/4" x 5". I cut two gold foil mats at 1 7/8" x 5 1/8". I adhered them with liquid glue and then glued them to the folds.

Using Blackberry Bliss ink, I stamped the sentiments on the main portion of the fun fold. They are from the Beauty of Tomorrow Stamp Set. When I was sure the ink was dry, I adhered the panel to the inside of the card base.

I closed the card back up and put liquid glue on the portion of the DSP that showed in the "window" from the inside panel. Then I placed my sentiment mat/circle in the opening fitting it exactly so it would open properly.

I had some Gold 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon (retiring January 3, 2022 but will reappear in July 2022) so I ran it around the front and tied a bow. Et fini!

I'm also entering my card at Krafty Chicks Challenge #592 Anything GoesCraftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper December 2021, and Creative Creases #22 Anything Goes with a Fun Fold.

This was so much fun to create and I hope you like my card. Thank you for stopping by today and have a great New Year's Eve and Day.

Stampin' Up! Heart & Home Project for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. This week we have a theme challenge. Here is what I created for it...

and here is our theme...

My idea came from Debbie Mageed who got her idea from a tutorial at Splitcoaststampers. It's called a Building Block Card.

The card folds flat for mailing purposes but I made this one for myself with the calendar Debbie sent me.

My card base is Cinnamon Cider cardstock, the mats are Pale Papaya cardstock and the Designer Series Paper is a pattern from Heart & Home (available January 4, 2022).

I cut the numbers out with the Playful Alphabet Dies (2 of each). I glued two together to make them raised as I didn't want to use Dimensionals or adhesive foam strips. I adhered them to the pop outs with liquid glue. I adhered a Bumblebee Trinket to the front with a glue dot. The calendar is adhered with Tear & Tape.

This is very easy to assemble once you get everything cut. Laura Lipe does an excellent job explaining how to cut the pop out part but I have also listed measurements and instructions at the end of my post.

I'm entering my card at Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper December 2021 Challenge,  Creative Creases Anything Goes with a Fun Fold #22, Tuesday Morning Sketches Annual ATG Challenge and Marsha's Special 3-Week Watercooler Wednesday WWC331 ATG Challenge.

Measurements and Instructions:

Card Base: 5 1/2" x 10", score @ 3 1/2" and 7"; first score is a mountain fold and second is a valley so that it makes a Z card

Close the valley fold and on the back of the valley fold, mark with a pencil at the following points:

3/8"
1 3/8"
1 5/8"
2 5/8"
2 7/8"
3 7/8"
4 1/8"
5 1/8"

At those marks cut in 1 1/2" along the fold.

Score at the end of the cuts on the 1” slits so these can fold up with mountain folds. Leave the ¼” slits as valley folds.

Front panel mat: 3 3/8" x 5 3/8"; DSP: 3 1/4" x 5 1/4"
Mats for panels on either side of blocks: 1 7/8" x 5 3/8" (2); DSP 1 3/4" x 5 1/4" (2)

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Cabin Masculine Birthday Card

Good mid-week day to you my peeps! It's the last one for 2021. I am looking forward to saying bye bye to 2021 and hello 2022. The recipient of my card today will be exchanging the wintery scene for a tropical scene the end of January. I can't wait for them to get to Florida from the Adirondacks!

My teammate, Akiko, used these papers to make a card so I thought I'd follow suit. I used the Peaceful Cabin Stamp Set (retiring 1/3/22) to stamp the images on the Cork Specialty Paper (also retiring). I used the upcoming Special Moments Stamp Set (available 1/4/22 through the SAB promotion) for the sentiment. The tree is stamped with Mossy Meadow ink and the cabin and "happy birthday" are stamped with Early Espresso ink. The card base is Early Espresso cardstock with a layer of Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper (retiring 1/3/22), a layer of Copper Foil and a layer of Cork.. Measurements are listed below.

For the inside...

The sentiment is from the Best Year Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock. The trees are stamped in Mossy Meadow. The stamp has three trees on it and I cut one of the trees off so I could stamp the front. I could have just inked up the one but I'm not afraid to cut up my stamps.

I'm entering my card at Watercooler Wednesday - Marsha's Special 3-week ATG Challenge #331

Stampin' Up! Special Moments Sneak Peek

I used the Stampin’ Up! Special Moments Photopolymer Stamp Set along with the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper to create my easy card today. Both of these items are free with a qualifying $50 order (before s/h) during Sale-A-bration, which begins January 4, 2022. Tuesday Morning Sketches has their Annual Anything Goes Challenge so I'm entering my card there.

I was inspired by my teammate, Karen K. Here's how it's made:

Card Base: Merry Merlot 5 1/2'' x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"

DSP: 5 1/4" x 4"
3/8" Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon: 6"

Pale Papaya scrap for sentiment from Special Moments, stamped in Merry Merlot, punched with the Tailored Tag Punch. Slits punched with the Label Me Fancy Punch

Thread the ribbon through the sentiment and use tape to adhere the ribbon ends on the back of DSP. Use glue dots to secure the sentiment. Adhere the DSP to the card base. Easy peasy, right?

For the inside...

Sentiment from Special Moments stamped in Merry Merlot on a 5 1/4" x 4" panel of Basic White cardstock.

Daisy image from the Daisy Lane Stamp Set using Merry Merlot Stampin' Write Marker for petals and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker for the center.

Thank you for stopping by today and I would be remiss not to enter my card in Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper December 2021 Challenge!

Stampin' Up! Nothing's Better Than Fun Fold Thank You

Good Monday morning my marvelous followers and readers. I had to get some M & M's in there because I have no makeover madness today. My card could be a masculine one so that entitles us to a few M & M's at the end! Are you still in a food coma from Christmas? No?...good...because New Year's Eve and Day is sneaking up on us!

Without further ado here's my Z fold card I created with the Nothing's Better Than Stamp Set. It was getting a little dusty on the shelf!

My card base is Early Espresso cardstock (4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2" and 2 3/4"). I cut two pieces of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper (2 1/2" x 4" and 2 7/8" x 4"). Then I used a stamp from the Nothing's Better Than Stamp Set and stamped the candies with Early Espresso right on the DSP.

I got out my Layering Circles Dies and Love You More Than Dies to finish off the front with a Crumb Cake scalloped circle and Basic White for the sentiment circle. I cut 4 "chocolates" and adhered them together to give them height rather than using Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink, adhered the "chocolate", added three retired Neutral dots and adhered the circles together with liquid glue. I added glue to the left side of the scalloped circle and adhered it to the front of the card.

For the inside...

I cut a piece of Basic White (3" x 4") and stamped the "thank you" from the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set in Early Espresso. I stamped the candies in Early Espresso with the solid candy stamp and stamped the outlined candies in Whisper White Craft ink but the camera didn't really pick that up.

Because my card is a fun fold, I'm entering it in the Creative Creases #22 Challenge - Anything Goes with a Fun Fold.

The date I chose to celebrate is December 24 National Chocolate Day. Since I played along with Thing 1 Trouble Maker, I can also enter my card at The Paper Funday Challenge #36 with Thing 2 Double Dare.

Thank you for stopping by today and in keeping with the National Chocolate Day on December 24, it's never too late for...
help yourself!!

Stampin' Up! Holiday Leave

Good Sunday morning, peeps! I hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas yesterday. The celebration of His birth did not end yesterday, so feel free to carry on throughout the year! Every day is a gift!! My gift yesterday was sharing the afternoon with friends. Let me show you what Jim and Chris shared with me.

It was a wonderful steak au poivre dinner with mashed potatoes, haricot verts with fresh mushrooms, and a beautiful walnut, blue cheese, dried cherry salad. Prior to dinner we had a Tom & Jerry (my first ever and hopefully won't be the last!) and jumbo shrimp cocktail. They only make the T & J's for Christmas. Do any of you have that tradition? We sat outside in their lanai and just enjoyed conversation, the fireplace and sound of running water. It was the best day for this foodie!

Tomorrow it's back to making cards but today is a day of rest and taking a walk to burn off those calories I ingested yesterday!

Stampin' Up! Merry Christmas to All My Readers, Followers and Teammates

"Who can add to Christmas? The perfect motive is that God so loved the world. The perfect gift is that He gave His only Son. The only requirement is to believe in Him. The reward of faith is that you shall have everlasting life."
-Corrie Ten Boom

Have you read The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom? It's a truly remarkable story of her life. It was made into a movie as well. I hope you'll check it out. I also hope you are having a marvelous Christmas day. I am going to friends for dinner and looking forward to some laughs and some tears.

I don't have a card of my own today but I'm sharing photos of cards I received from my stamping buddies. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Thanks for taking time out of such a special day to look at the cards I have received so far. Be blessed, peeps!
