Stampin' Up! Work of Art Sparkling Butterflies

I'm so glad AAA Cards: CAS Game #105 - Sparkle goes until January 6!

Like, yesterday, this is one of the cards that will be for my housekeeper to give away. I only have 18 to go. Fortunately, she said she can wait until mid-January. I'm just hoping that the thank you's aren't for her customers in the community, telling them she is retiring. I really don't want to take up cleaning again as it will cut into my stamping time!

So, for my card...

I think it is fairly "Clean and Simple"! My card base is Lost Lagoon (retired). I stamped the "swish" (see my post yesterday for the product!) in Mint Macaron ink (retired). The top and bottom swishes are full strength and the middle is without reinking. The top butterfly is punched out of Mint Macaron Glimmer paper (last year's Sale-A-bration) using the Elegant Butterfly punch (retired). The second butterfly is the same paper but using the Bitty Butterfly punch (retired). Do you see the theme so far...retirement!!

These retirement thoughts needed to come to an end. Therefore, the sentiment stamps are from the current Thoughtful Banners stamp set and the "thank you" is punched with the current Duet Banners punch. (Product items listed below.)

I will thank her so much if she is just needing those cards to thank her people for Christmas gifts!

Stampin' Up! Work of Art

I love our housekeeper! She was very impressed by the gift certificate envelope that I made for her to give to her mother. So much so, that she asked me to make 20 thank you cards for her...woo hoo! I must give credit to Sam Donald of PootlesPapercraft for the idea. This was so quick and easy to make!

My card base is Berry Burst, as is the ink. The stamps are from the set "Work of Art". The long swishy stamp is only inked once, but stamped three times. The flower is stamped and punched using the retired Petite Petals set. The heart and star are punched as well and the three are adhered with glue dots.

I'm thinking maybe the "Thank" should have been placed closer to the "you"...your thoughts would be appreciated. I may look for another thank you stamp so I only have to stamp once (these are two separate pieces and are not see through). If I had my Stamparatus, it would be a walk in the park! What is a Stamparatus you ask? Stamparatus Video. If you are interested, let me know and I'll provide you with more info!

Update: I made this second card, moving the sentiment, coloring the heart and adding a little pearl to it. I definitely like it better!

Stampin' Up!: Christmas Wreath Pizza Box

Cut It Up Challenge #137 is a challenge that involves a box and die cut. Well, here you go...

It's a mini pizza box with a 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" square piece of designer series paper from Be Merry, which is in the Annual Catalog (thanks, Mary for letting me know so I could update my post!). 

The Whisper White circle was die cut with the Stitched Shape framelits. Before I cut it, I stamped the "wreath" in Garden Green ink. The wreath is in quotes because it actually is the sunflower stamp from Painted Harvest. The bling is gold metallic dots. The bow is stamped in Cherry Cobbler using the Brightly Lit stamp set and cut with the matching die set, Christmas Lampost Thinlits.

Stampin' Up! Gift Certificate Envelope

My housekeeper stopped the other day and said she changed her mind about wanting the mini pizza gift box...would it be too much trouble to make something to hold a gift certificate? Trouble? Only in River City (love the Music Man!) So, this is what I made for her to give to her mother and for Freshly Made Sketches #318 (a loose interpretation!) and Tuesday Morning Sketches - #424 - Anything Goes.

I made the envelope into a #10 using Real Red envelope paper and my Martha Stewart score board.

The poinsettia buttons are stamped in Real Red from the Carols of Christmas set, punched with a 3/4" circle punch, matted on gold glimmer paper punched with a 7/8" scallop punch.

Santa's belt is a 3/4" x 8" strip of black glimmer paper (retired), a piece of gold glimmer paper punched with a retired punch and a heart of red glimmer paper.

The sentiment is from Merry Little Labels. I stamped it in Real Red on a scrap of Whisper White, punched it out with the Everyday Label punch and punched a second label shape in gold glimmer paper. Then I cut the gold glimmer label in half and adhered each piece to the ends of the sentiment label.

Stampin' Up! Beachy Little Christmas

When we returned home from Disney yesterday, our son told me that our housekeeper needed another gift box so I made this one for her today. I mean I really made it for her and then she can re-gift it!

My inspiration came from What Will You Stamp #147 - Beachy Little Christmas

I also am choosing to enter it in the Tic Tac Toe #028 Challenge by Claire Broadwater. I chose the line straight across the top...turquoise, holiday and sequins.

I cut a mat 3 3/8" x 3 3/8" of DSP from Quilted Christmas. I stamped the tree in Versa Mark on a 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of Whisper White and heat embossed it in gold. I colored the decorations on the tree with Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Crushed Curry and Pink Pirouette markers. The pail dots were done in Marina Mist. The shells were stamped with Versa Mark and heat embossed in copper. The sentiment was also heat embossed with red glitter embossing powder. I added sequins from the Frosted collection, which are retired. Unfortunately, the iPhone camera does not do the tree justice.

I will be putting a check inside the box and to make it prettier, I will put this on top of it...

The beach house and palm trees are leaning because of Irma! I used watercolor pencils and a blender pen to color them. I used High Tide stamps for the beach, greenery and ocean. The sky is just scribbled in with a Pacific Point watercolor pencil. 

I love these stamp sets and hope you like my decorated mini pizza box.

Stampin' Up! Mini Pizza Box

This is my second post today! Well, as you can see, I am on a pizza box decorating kick!! CAS-ual Fridays 189 Dreaming of a White Christmas  is to be a card or a tag that is mostly white. That is this pizza box's challenge...it's quite white with a little gold and silver thrown in BUT it really wants to be a tag! You know how it goes in this day and age!! Today at Epcot, I wanted to be a man because the ladies' room line was out into the street and there were no men standing at the men's room! (Hope you can deal with my sense of humor!!)

Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree

Alphabet Challenge - T for Trees is my challenge for today, along with Fab Friday 127 Christmas Free-for-All Party and TGIFC #138 Christmas Carols (either O Tannebaum OR We Three Kings).

This is a decorated mini pizza box. The DSP is from Merry Music specialty designer series paper. The oval mat is silver glimmer paper and the ovals were die cut from Layering Ovals. I embossed the tree with black embossing powder. Easy peasy!

Disney and Pizza Boxes

These are the pizza boxes I made to give our daughter and son-in-love for Christmas while they are in Disney. It helped redeem a very bad Disney experience their first day, yesterday. Today was a better experience, almost, for them.

Amy's Inkin' Krew Celebration Themed Blog Hop

Welcome to this month’s Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop ...we’ve got a "Celebrate" theme today. Amy said we could interpret the theme however we like! So, I'm doing a birthday celebration for a member in our local Thursday card group. I hope you’ll spend some time hopping through all the offerings today provided by Amy's Krew...and free of charge, at that!

The stamp sets I used are Bright Wishes for the front and Number of Years for the inside. More about the inside later.

I stamped the wishing well and greeting on a piece of Whisper White (3 3/4" x 5") with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the art piece with Early Espresso, Old Olive, Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry watercolor pencils. I then used a Blender Pen to  blend the colors. 

I wrapped a piece of Fresh Fig 1/8" Sheer Ribbon around the bottom portion and secured it on the back with tape. Then I tied a short piece of Old Olive 1/8" Sheer Ribbon to the Fresh Fig to create a faux bow. I then adhered that panel to a Fresh Fig mat 4" x 5 1/4". The mat was glued to my Old Olive card base measuring 8 1/2" (scored and folded at 4 1/4") x 5 1/2". Front...done!

For the inside, I cut another piece of Whisper White 3 3/4" x 5" and sponged it with Old Olive ink. I stamped "Look Who's Turning" with Fresh Fig ink. 

I lined up the Large Number Framelits for the "70" and Little Letters Thinlits (retired) for "MEG" on that panel and ran it through my Big Shot using the magnetic platform. I adhered that piece to a mat of Fresh Fig 4" x 5 1/4" and then glued that to the inside portion of the card base.

I then put the same framelits/thinlits on a scrap of Fresh Florals DSP and ran them through the Big Shot. I raised them up with dimensionals using one side of the DSP for the numbers and the other side for the letters, adhering them to the matching cut out portion. This technique is call "Eclipse" and You Tube has tutorials on this technique. I added the ellipsis and exclamation point free hand with a Fresh Fig marker. Inside...done!

Stampin' Up! At Home with You

This card represents how I feel about the UPS man coming to our house with my SU order! It also is how I feel about having my husband and son here another year for Christmas. Neither one is in good health and they have been through so much. We are blessed in spite of all the trials!

We made this card at our group today. Our hostess had already pre-cut EVERYTHING for us! She is great!! All I had to do was add the red balls with Perfect Pearls, the door knocker, color the lanterns, color the swag and wreath with red and green Wink of Stella and stamp the sentiment. The set we used can be purchased by clicking on the product photo below. Aud Sentiments #194 is still running their Christmas + Sentiment so I just had to play again!

She prepared a delicious lunch for us and I just had to take a picture of her table...
