Stampin' Up! Sweet Ice Cream

Sweet Sunday morning to you, peeps. My card is a CASE of this one I did here.

The scoops are different and the sentiment on the front is different because I created the inside first.

I had gotten ink smudges on the inside before I stamped it and didn't want to cut more paper. When I went to stamp the Happy Birthday, it didn't fit with the DSP strip there! So I had to reinvent what I was doing and I'm pleased with it. I'm entering it in the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #158 ATG.

I hope y'all have a wonderful day. We are off to brunch with my son-in-love's parents and then the kids and I are going to Ft. Myers Beach for the afternoon. I haven't been to the beach probably since the early 2000's!

Stampin' Up! Hydrangea Haven Feminine Card

Good Saturday morning, peeps! Today I CASEd my own card from last Saturday!

I was inspired by the Inspired By Challenge: IB176...Love the Way You Lilac.

I chose to use the color of the lilacs but using hydrangeas instead!

The measurements for my card are the same but I changed the ink for the hydrangea to Gorgeous Grape full strength (little one) and stamped off once (big one).

I also changed the embellishments. The ribbon is the Gorgeous Grape 3/8" Sheer Ribbon. The dots are the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots.

The sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven Stamp Set is stamped in Evening Evergreen ink.

Like my card from last week, I haven't decided how I am going to finish the inside. I'm also playing at Aud Sentiments Challenge #275 For the Girls.

Yesterday we ended our Disney trip at Disney Springs. The Lego store is always a joy with the things the staff build. This one in particular struck my fancy and I am not even a Star Wars fan.

My grandchildren enjoyed their donuts while my daughter and I watched in amazement!

Can you believe they ate lunch an hour later? Octopus salad and macaroni and cheese bites were two of the dishes chosen.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Hollywood Studios

Good morning, peeps. I can't really say TGIF today as it means we have to leave the wonderful world of Disney. Our last hurrah will be in Disney Springs as we have lunch ressies at Wine Bar George. It's been a fun time with my family and I'm so glad they are staying with me for another 5 days.  I walked 7 miles and my feet know it. My back knows it went on a ride where I was not expecting to be jerked around. The Runaway Train was just that!

Here are some pics from yesterday...

The Galaxy is quite the place and we were thrilled Sam was successful in the virtual queue to get us on the Rise of the Resistance. Megan was able to build her own Droid ...that will be fun getting it back to NY on the plane!

I had a delicious lunch at the Commissary and dinner at Mama Melrose's. This was my red curry shrimp bowl. It was the best meal I had on the trip!

My favorite rides are still the Tower of Terror and Toy Store Mania. You already know my least favorite...Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Train.

I had thought about selling my DVC after this trip but I'm rethinking that and I think you can see why!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend in store.

Epcot Flower & Garden Festival

Happy Thursday, peeps. Today's post will be a short one as we are on our way to Hollywood Studios for the Rise of the Resistance and then some other rides.

Yesterday we walked 8 miles in Epcot! I was beat and went back to the room and my daughter and grandkids stayed at Epcot til dark! Here are a few pics of our adventures at The Land during the festival. Along the way I saw some pansies and, of course, thought of SU and my teammates and uplines!!

My granddaughter is a vegetarian so we tried the Impossible Korean BBQ Short Ribs with cilantro-lime rice and it was delicious!

We ate dinner at the Rose & Crown Pub and both the service and food was great.

Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see you tomorrow for our next to last day.

Animal Kingdom

Good Wednesday morning, peeps! Today's post is brought to you by lions, tigers and bears, oh my! Well, not quite...but there is a lion, a masai giraffe, a herd of elephants, and an ankole, a/k/a Watusi.

Lunch was at the Satuli Canteen and dinner was at The Wave. My dinner pics were not appealing but lunch was! I love bowls but next time I will get rice and shrimp!

We were able to do the safari, which is obvious, and Expedition Everest. That was my last roller coaster ride in my lifetime. I am still recovering from being tossed around! My daughter and I headed back to the villa and the kiddos stayed in the park. It was a very enjoyable, but hot day once again. I love my family!

Today we are off to the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot...my favorite park in Disney. This is what I woke up to...getting started on the right foot!
Sunrises never get old. However, the people at the Contemporary Hotel got the better view of it!

See you real soon and thank you for visiting today.

Magic Kingdom Kind of Day

 Good Morning, Peeps!

Yesterday we headed for Walt Disney World. It was a couple of years for all of us and we weren't sure how we'd feel about the changes that had to be made due to COVID nor the changes that were made to "keep up with the times".

We spent most of our day at the Magic Kingdom and really didn't see too many changes except for having to wear masks standing in line and inside locations. Here is the biggest change...the castle for their 50th anniversary.

and here are my three guests...a/k/a family! Megan, who is an artist, Sam who is an actor/dancer/singer and just graduated from Marymount College in Manhattan. He will be pursuing his career in Los Angeles/Hollywood area, and Kerri my daughter who is an accountant. Leaving all that behind them, they became mouseketeers for the day.

It was a pleasant day but a tad hot in the afternoon. We had lunch at the Tomorrowland Terrace, dinner at Tony's. We waited in a L O N G line at Pirates of the Caribbean, not too bad lines for Carousel of Progress and Haunted Mansion. We were able to do Buzz Lightyear twice and the People Mover twice. The kiddos rode Space Mountain but I couldn't due to my vertigo. It used to be my favorite ride.

Kerri and I left the kids at MK to come back to my DVC (time share) at the Grand Floridian. I had enough points left to obtain a 3 bedroom villa for Sam's graduation present. The room wasn't ready when we arrived but this is what Kerri and I found later! The 3 bedroom villa, living room, kitchen and bonus room!

This place is bigger than my house!  I was like a little kid and wanted to take a pic from one end of the "room" to the other.

My photography skills don't do it justice, but I'm sure you get the picture. The en suite for the master bedroom was a spot where you could have a party!

Here are a few pics of our views from our two separate balconies...

Fantastico! I even got to see my favorite boat parade! I took a video but haven't been able to load that.

Today we are headed to the Animal Kingdom. Stay tuned and thank you for joining me on our adventure!

Stampin' Up! Nature's Beauty Masculine Birthday Card

Welcome to Masculine Monday! I'm featuring the Nature's Beauty Stamp Set to create my card for today.

Measurements are listed below. My card base is Crumb Cake with a mat of Early Espresso. To that I adhered a piece of DSP from the Sand & Sea Series with a strip of DSP from the In Good Taste Series.

The Mossy Meadow panel is embossed with the Evergreen Forest 3D folder and adhered to the card front. I stamped the deer from the Nature's Beauty Stamp Set in Early Espresso, cut it out with a die from the Layering Ovals set and sponged the edge with Early Espresso. I adhered it to the embossed mat with liquid glue. I used a smaller oval for the Happy Birthday sentiment which is from the A Wish for Everything Stamp Set. I sponged that in Mossy Meadow. I adhered that with liquid glue on one end and a Stampin' Dimensional on the other end. I took two corner pieces from the retired Antiqued Corners & Slides Elements and adhered them with glue dots.

For the inside...

I used a sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays Stamp Set and the tree is from the retired Winter Woods Stamp Set. I sponged the bottom and edges with Mossy Meadow.

This will be the last card I post until May 29. What you'll be seeing tomorrow through May 28 will undoubtedly be photos from Disney World! Thank you for stopping by today.

Card Base: 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2"

Early Espresso Mat: 4" x 5 1/4"
