Stampin' Up! Beautiful Promenade for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to our weekly blog hop. I  used the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Promenade stamp set to create my card for the Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and here is what I created for it.

and here is our sketch.

No photo description available.
Before I tell you about my card, I'd like to enter it in the Watercooler Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge WWC206.

My card base is Mossy Meadow. I cut a square of the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper and adhered it to a Very Vanilla mat that I embossed with the Petal Burst TIEF.

The circle is a die cut from Eastern Medallions and I used Berry Burst Card Stock. I adhered it to the card front with mini dimensionals. I used two of the wooden leaves from the Butterfly Elements (free with a purchase of $50 during Sale-A-Bration). I stamped the sentiment from Beautiful Promenade in Mossy Meadow on a scrap of Very Vanilla and sponged the edges, adhering it with more Dimensionals.

For the inside, I cut a mat of Berry Burst and rounded the edges with the Detailed Trio Punch. The Very Vanilla mat was also edged and punched with that punch. I stamped another sentiment from the stamp set in Mossy Meadow.

Stampin' Up! Pretty Kitty

Today was another day we were out all day so I had to make a quick birthday card. I am trying to use up my DSP, new and retired, so I created this card using Floral Boutique DSP (retired), and Night of Navy and Whisper White cardstock. If you are interested in this DSP, I have an unopened package for sale!

I had butterflies punched out with the Butterfly Duet punch (not orderable at the moment) from a card last week. I adhered them to the card front with mini glue dots.

I used the current Stitched Label Framelits for a sentiment backer on the front and for the star of the show on the inside. I love that frame! The sentiments from Pretty Kitty are stamped with Night of Navy ink.

The Night of Navy gingham ribbon is current and I got it from a "share" from my upline last year.

The person who will receive this card loves Night of Navy, Floral Boutique DSP and monochromatic!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you tomorrow.

Stampin' Up! Happy Tails and Meant to Be

Good Monday morning, peeps. Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was laid back, rainy and cool (low 60's). It was perfect for cleaning up the craft area and kitchen cupboards! I'm entering my card in the Cards in Envy Love Me or Love My Pet Challenge as I haven't played there in a while.

One of the items laying on my desk was a card base. I think it's  Lovely Lipstick. I also had scraps of the Lovely Lipstick foil paper that is available free with a $50 purchase from Stampin' Up! I also had scraps of Whisper White AND the pad of Sending Love DSP (retired) was out. So, I put them all to good use and created a "love" card for my 5th grade penpal in Maine. He has a dog similar to this one.

I stamped the pup in Crumb Cake and colored him with Light and Dark Crumb Cake Blends. I love this stamp set...right down to his collar! AND the set has a matching Dog Builder punch. They can be purchased together at a 10% savings.

I used the dies from the Be Mine Framelits to cut out the hearts.  I adhered them to the card front and adhered "Lefty" with dimensionals.

The inside is plain and simple using stamps from Happy Tails and the valentine sentiment from Meant to Be. What Will You Stamp Challenge #WWYS204 is using the Meant to Be set this week.

Inks used were Crumb Cake and Lovely Lipstick.

That's it for today folks. Thanks for taking the time to stop by. See you tomorrow.

Stampin' Up! Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies Meets Bright Wishes Stamp Set

I am hoping my card meets the qualifications of CAS (Clean and Simple) at Addicted to CAS Challenge #151 - Friends. The only concern I have is the embossed hearts. Hopefully they will let me know one way or the other.

I had this card base in my stash as I had embossed (Darice) it for one of my challenges but then I remembered I had to use all Stampin' Up! products.

I decided yesterday that I would make a dent in scraps I had laying on my desk. I found the die cut "Sunshine" from the Sunshine Wishes thinlits, a piece of the Ken Oliver Color Burst "watercolored" paper from a few days ago and decided to adhere them to the card base (Grapefruit Grove).

For the inside, I had a scrap of Very Vanilla so I punched the corners with the Detailed Trio punch, stamped the sentiments from Bright Wishes and added hearts from the Forever Lovely stamp set, which can be found in the 2019 Occasions catalog.

Easy peazy with pre-cut items and a nice sentiment to let a friend know how you feel about her/him.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Stampin' Up! Gingham Gala

This card is a second entry in the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #487

This is the card my sister-in-law made using the same sketch that I did yesterday. She used the Daffodil Delight Gingham Gala DSP and the matching organdy ribbon. She took a retired piece of DSP to make her square. The Mint Macaron scallop matched the DSP perfectly so we were happy SU brought back that color. The Cajun Craze ink matched the DSP as well. Both scallops were punched with retired punches. I'm not sure what set she used for the sentiment.

One of her comments was, "I love how the inks and paper match perfectly. You can't get that so easily at craft stores." I totally agree and that's why I chose to become a demonstrator for SU. I still haven't ventured out to become more than a hobbyist but I keep thinking about it.

Drue used stamps from the retired Thoughtful Branches set and a left-over butterfly from the Botanical Butterfly DSP that she punched out the other day for the inside.

She is now on her way to the east coast until the 9th and then will come back here for a week. I love my husband's sister...she is a keeper! I'm very happy she enjoys making cards with me.

Stampin' Up! Enjoy Life

Today I'm entering my card at Tuesday Morning Sketches #487. I think Janice Melton's sketch is great, don't you?

I took the paper literally! Take a look see...

My card base is Highland Heather with a mat of Whisper White and a mat of Highland Heather Gingham Gala DSP from the 2019 Occasions catalog. The ribbon is found in the current Annual Catalog. The yellow is Daffodil Delight.

I used retired scallop punches and retired DSP (Moonlight Paper Stack) but you can use whatever you have on hand or even order new!

If you need the measurements, just let me know in a comment and I'll reply back.

Thank you for stopping by and I'll be back tomorrow to show you the card Drue made. It just proves how wonderful SU colors are!

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Gala for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Today is our hop and we have a color challenge. It just amazes me how quickly Thursdays roll around. What is equally amazing is all the talent our team shares so I hope you'll hop along. Here are the colors...
Image may contain: text
and here is what I made for it...

My card base is Petal Pink. I stamped a small butterfly from the Butterfly Gala stamp set all over the front in Petal Pink but I didn't like the way it looked so I took a piece of vellum from the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper and adhered it with glue dots to the base front. I cut a mat of Mossy Meadow and adhered that with liquid glue. Using glue dots, I adhered the flowers/leaves piece of vellum to the mat.

With my Big Shot and the Well Written Framelits Dies, I cut out the words and adhered them with spray glue.

The butterfly from the Botanical Butterfly DSP is colored with my Fresh Fig, Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink Stampin' Write Markers and punched with my Butterfly Duet Punch.

For the inside, I adhered another piece of vellum, because I just love it so much, and added a die cut rectangle to write a personal message in Fresh Fig or Mossy Meadow. I stamped butterflies from the Butterfly Gala set in Petal Pink full strength. I had stamped them second generation but you couldn't even see them.

Stampin' Up! Botanical Butterfly

As most of you know, I am not a CAS card maker (Clean and Simple), but today I'm making an exception because I really liked the sketch at CAS Challenge #305 - Sketch
I am an asymmetrical kind of person so here is my card for you today.

It went together in no time at all. I just used the black and white DSP from the free Botanical Butterfly package, colored it with Fresh Fig and Petal Pink, punched it out with the Butterfly Duet Punch and added 3 tiny faceted dots. I cut a 3" x 3" square from another sheet in that DSP package, cut a 2" x 2" square from Floral Romance DSP and put it all together as shown. Because my glue dots showed through the vellum paper, I adhered faceted dots and a piece of ombre ribbon. My card base is Mossy Meadow.

Today we went to the Sarasota National Cemetery. Perry's plaque was on our niche and here's a pic.

We went to lunch at Pop's Sunset Grill in Nokomis. This was our view and some of our food.

The food was absolutely delicious. Gene had a wood fired salmon BLT. The french fries were done perfectly. Drue had a Grouper reuben. I had black beans and rice with a side salad of edamame/garbanzo/red beans and corn.
