Stampin' Up! Sunflower Birthday Card for Amy's Inkin' Krew Monthly Blog Hop

 Welcome to the AIK monthly blog hop. Our theme for this month is "Fall Frenzy" and we can  use any product we wish.  The list of hoppers is at the end of my post. I hope you'll hop along. Here's a thumbnail of my creation...

Let's take a closer look...

I was inspired by my friend, upline and teammate (one and the same), with her card she created here.

My card base is Basic Black 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2". I adhered a mat of Calypso Coral 4" x 5 1/4".

Next I cut a piece of Basic White 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" and embossed it with the Sunflower 3D EF. I adhered that to the card front.

I cut another mat of Calypso Coral to 3 3/8" x 3 3/8" and adhered that to the front. Next I followed Mary's video to watch her technique but I'll try to tell you here. I cut a piece of Basic White that was 3 1/2" x 3 1/2", used my Blending Brush to lay on coats of Calypso Coral and Cajun Craze inks. Then I put it in the EF, taped the sides ever so slightly so it wouldn't move in the folder. After I ran it through my embossing machine, I covered the inside front of the folder with Basic Black ink and ran it through again. I removed the panel and cut it down to 3 1/4" x 3 1/4", adhering it to the Calypso Coral mat.

So far, I've used everything that was current product but then I remembered I had pretty organdy 1/4" Grapefruit Grove Ribbon (retired) and I just had to use it under the sentiment that came from the Lily of the Valley Stamp Set. I stamped the frame around with a stamp from the Fern & Flora Stamp Set and cut it out with a die from the matching set. The three moths are also from that stamp set and dies. The top two inside sentiments are from Fern & Flora. The "happiest birthday wishes" greeting is from the Phrases & Frames Stamp Set. I know you can figure out the inks I used :-)

Stampin' Up! Peace on Earth Sympathy Card

Good Monday morning, peeps. Alas, I had to make another sympathy card. I was inspired by my upline, Amy Koenders with her use of this stamp set and the DSP. Product I used can be found in the chart at the end of my post. But for now, let's take a look at my card and then Amy's card. Ready? Here goes...

My card is for my great-grandson. I wish I could have been there with him but, alas, I decided not to take any trips by plane again. I have my reasons!  Otto just started walking at the end of July and his birthday is in the same month, thus the saying on the front, which I created with my label maker. I had fun using old and new product.  

I also made a mini album of his life on earth from birth through June. I left one page blank so they could add photos of his birthday party. I can't show you the inside as it's all personal and I know you understand that. I got my idea for the cover from Crafting with Holly  on You Tube.

Stampin' Up! Happy Place Birthday Card

Today I really went back into the archives for the color...Certainly Celery. I would be so happy if they brought it back! My photo doesn't do the color justice. Take a look see...

It's prettier IRL. The embossing folder I used is the retired Twigs & Sprigs and I used my Blending Brush to add some Certainly Celery ink. The ribbon is also retired grosgrain Certainly Celery. 

I cut a piece of retired Certainly Celery DSP with a retired die from Tasteful Labels and stamped the sentiment from the Happy Place Stamp Set on a scrap of Basic White cut with a smaller die from the same die set. 3 Granny Apple Green Shimmering Dots were added at the end.

For the inside...

 

more stamps from the Happy Place set (thank you Sharon Armstrong!) and a strip of Certainly Celery DSP. I used a tad of Lost Lagoon on the happy, along with Lemon Lolly and Certainly Celery inks.

You can still find all of the retired products on Ebay but Happy Place is current! I really do think it's time for SU to bring this color back home. Let's see if I'm prophetic in 2027...LOL.

Stampin' Up! Quilt Friendship Card

Good Monday Morning. It's not a makeover madness card because I only changed the sentiment and the card base. Well, I did add mats and I didn't emboss the quilt panel...so maybe it is a make over! In any event, it's a sister to the one I made here. Take a look see... 


I really like that I didn't have to recreate the quilt part as it was cut from the same paper as last week's. If you created it from my card last week then you'll be on your second card from the big sheet! Two more to go!! Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin' Up! Winnie the Pooh Window Card for the SU Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop

 Let's take a closer look, shall we?

I CASE'd Lynn Dunn's card, changing the direction of the striped Silly Old Bear DSP, eliminating a linen thread bow, changing up the acorn/leaves and changing the embellishments to the smallest butterflies from the 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies.

I chose a different sentiment and another "picture frame" for the inside inside. Other than those things, everything is the same as Lynn's as far as the how to and measurements. Thanks, Lynn, for your assistance!

    Stampin' Up! Phrases & Frames Sympathy Card

    Good morning...at least that's what it is here in TN on a Monday. My card today is one that nobody likes to have to make but I think the design and paper are beautiful just like the person who went to be with her Lord and Savior. Take a look see...


     

    It's a book binding fold and the design was compliments of Maymay Made It. I really had fun creating the quilt part. You can see how to create it here.
     
    For the fold...score a piece of 4 1/4" x 11" cardstock at 5 1/2" and 6 3/4". Fold at 5 1/2 and fold back at the 6 3/4. Cut a 1" by 4" DSP strip. I will be posting cards that have mats with measurements next Monday. The cuts for the quilt and how to arrange are in Maymay's video. It's a pattern that creates 4 cards.

    Stampin' Up! Peaceful Pier Thinking of You Card

    Good morning, peeps! Hope you had a great weekend. I saw a challenge at As You See It so I decided to play as it's been awhile! Challenge #376 is to fill in the blank..."My favourite embossing folder is _____. Well, mine is the retired Fern 3D EF. There's not a lot peeking out, but enough that the recipient will know what it is because she's a demonstrator as well. Take a look see...

    Stampin' Up! Patriotic Birthday and Anniversary Cards

    Good morning, stamping friends! Can you believe  we are headed into the 4th of July weekend? I have friends who celebrate a birthday and anniversary around the 4th so I created these cards for them.

    Stampin' Up! Layers of Beauty for the Demos Fun Fold Monthly Blog Hop

     Hello my stamping friends.  Welcome to our monthly Stampin' Up! Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop!! The participating demonstrators are listed at the end of my post. I hope you will choose to hop along. Here's what I created for the hop today... 



     
    Let's take a closer look...

     

    This is another fun fold that Alyson Mayo taught me back in May. She was kind enough to make it using 8 1/2" x 11" card stock, which really helps me out as I don't have 12" x 12" card stock. She has a video on it but if you are not a member of her group, you will have to click on this link where you will have a chance to join. It's well worth the time to visit her!

    My card base is Tempting Turquoise, which is retired. The mats are retired Perfect Plum. The patterned paper is Craft Consortium. One pattern is Ink Drops and the other is Bloom Beautiful. Basic White was used for the pull out sentiment/images and the embossed cover. 

    The embossing folder I used was the retired Exposed Brick 3D and I used Soft Succulent Ink (retired) to blend over the raised parts. 

    Vellum was used for the belly band. Layers of Beauty Stamp Set, dies and stencil masks were used, along with the retired Branching Out Stamp Set (sentiments). The inks I used were Perfect Plum, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather,  Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent.
