Good Tuesday morning, stamping friends. I got out a number of retired stamp sets for my card today. I have a friend who LOVES riding and marathons so this card is for him! I hope he doesn't see my blog. His wife might but I know she can keep a secret!! Take a look see...
I was inspired by Lisa Brown's layout and the fact that these In Colors are retiring. My card base is Shy Shamrock with a Basic Black mat. The Basic White panel was cut with a die from Textured Notes (on the Last Chance list). The mats for the white squares are Summer Splash, Petunia Pop, Peach Pie, Shy Shamrock and Pretty in Pink. I will especially miss the purple and pink. The sentiment is from the retired Not 29 Anymore Stamp Set. The images are from the retired Enjoy Life Stamp Set. The squares were cut with the Stylish Shapes dies. I will cry when they retire (hopefully they won't!). I sponged the Basic White with all the In Colors.
For the inside...
The first two sentiments are from the Not 29 Anymore, the third is from the retired Legendary Ride Stamp Set, the butterflies, cyclist and "grass" are from the Enjoy Life set. The butterflies were stamped with retired inks...Elegant Eggplant and Wild Wheat. My friend is a die hard Vikings fan! The "grass" is stamped with Shy Shamrock and everything else is Memento Tuxedo Black.
Thank you for stopping by today.
