Stampin' Up! Peaceful Place and Mosaic Mood for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Today our team has a sketch challenge and I have chosen to use the Peaceful Place Stamp Set for my card. Here is what I created...

and here is the sketch we are using this week...
No photo description available.

My card base is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4". I adhered a piece of Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper that measures 4 3/4" x 3 1/2". I didn't think I wanted it but after participating in a paper share, I'm having second thoughts. Photos do not do it justice!

I used my Stitched Nested Dies to cut a piece of Very Vanilla and a piece of Vellum for my sentiment. I used the third from largest die.

I stamped the sentiment in Cajun Craze ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder on the Vellum. It did not stand out without the Very Vanilla mat behind it. I cut off the top pointed end on both pieces so it would match the sketch.

The metal bow is from the Bird Ballad Trinkets embellishments. Isn't it so cute? Again, I didn't think I wanted those but I got one in the embellishments share. That's also how I learned to love the "on backorder" Perennial Essence Floral Centers. If you have never participated in a designer series paper, embellishments or ribbon share, you are missing out! It is so helpful to know what you really like before buying the whole kit and kaboodle. Keep that in the back of your mind for when the Holiday Catalog goes live in September.

There is no inside today as I will be writing a personal note to the recipient. I am making two more cards similar to this for others who are helping me on my journey.
