Stampin' Up! Forever Blossoms Thank You Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. This week we have a color challenge and I used the Forever Blossoms, So Sentimental, and Ornate Thanks  Stamp Sets to create my card.

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

My card base is Purple Posy card stock. I had a strip of Blackberry Bliss laying on my desk so I ran it through my embossing machine with the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered it to the base with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment from So Sentimental in two colors. The "Thank You" is Blackberry Bliss ink. The smaller words were done with my Purple Posy Stamp N Write Marker, from the In Color pack, using my Stamparatus and the "huffing" method. I cut it out with a die from Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I adhered it with Dimensionals.

Using the Forever Blossoms Bundle, I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the flowers with my Light and Dark Purple Posy Blends and the leaves with my Light Old Olive Blends. I cut the image out and adhered it to the card front with liquid glue.

If you make this card, I would suggest that you adhere the flowers first before the sentiment. I had too many Dimensionals on the sentiment and couldn't get my flowers situated the way I wanted so I ended up cutting some of the image off at the bottom...lesson learned! For the flower centers, I swiped them with Clear Wink of Stella but the camera doesn't capture that.

The flowers are spring like so I'm playing today at The Flower Challenge #43.

For the inside, I used my Stamparatus and the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. Again, I used the Purple Posy Stamp N Write Marker and the huffing method. I wouldn't do that again because it was tedious and time consuming to get it dark enough. I never would have done it if I didn't have the Stamparatus! The last sentiment is from the same set, stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink.

I punched three of the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch and adhered the panel with liquid glue.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my card. I have listed some of the supplies at the very bottom of this post.

  4. So pretty! Love that floral image in the challenge colors. And good tip. Except you said "too many dimensionals"! I'm not sure that's even a thing. Like..."too sweet" or "too much chocolate". Not a thing. ;)

    1. Ha! I usually skimp on the Dimensionals...but I did cut them in half! Thanks, Mary.
