Stampin' Up! Perfectly Plaid Christmas Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. This week we have a sketch challenge. If this is your first time here, welcome! If not, welcome back!! Either way, you're in for a treat!!! I used the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper to  create my card for today.

I started out with a Smoky Slate card base. I adhered a panel of Black Glitter paper to it. Next I cut a piece of the Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper to mat on the glitter paper. This paper is to die for! I wish you could see it glow! All the snowflakes sparkle and the trees have bits of shiny silver in them as well. I was inspired by the snowflakes and trees on the cookies at Jingle Belles Cookies for Santa photo.

Another pattern from the Peaceful Place Specialty DSP was cut for my "art panel". I cut a strip of glitter paper and a strip of Basic White cardstock to create my sentiment and mat. The sentiment is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink using a stamp from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set. I used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch to punch the ends, leaving one edge straight. I adhered that to the card front. Three Silver Epoxy Essentials finished off the front.

For the inside...

I stamped the plaid tree in Smoky Slate and the "Merry Christmas" in Memento Tuxedo Black. Both are from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set. I have a friend who loves black and white monochromatic so this card was made for her.
