Stampin' Up! Happiest of Birthdays Birthday Card

Good Monday morning, afternoon or evening...whenever you are reading my post. Hope you had a great weekend.

My card today is brought to you by the Happiest of Birthdays Stamp Set. I'm playing at Artsystamper Digitals Challenge #20: Birthdays. You don't need to use a digital; however, you would get an extra entry in the random winner entry.

My color inspiration came from Just Us Girls Color Week #545.

My card base is Just Jade card stock with a mat of Smoky Slate. I embossed the mat with one of the folders from the Greenery Embossing folders. It's a half-sized folder so I ran it through on the top and the bottom of the mat. I ran a strip of Just Jade Ribbon across the panel and secured it on the back with tape but it hardly shows so I kind of wasted 6" of ribbon!

I cut three mats of Just Jade and 3 panels of Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper, adhered them together and then to the card front with liquid glue.

The sentiment from Happiest of Birthdays is stamped in Smoky Slate on a scrap of Whisper White and punched with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. I adhered it to the card front with Dimensionals.

The flowers and sprigs are punched from a scrap of Bumblebee card stock. First I stamped the flower in Bumblebee using the retired Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set. I punched it out with the current Small Bloom Punch. The sprig is punched out with the Sprig Punch. They are all adhered with liquid glue and the flower received an In Color 2020-2022 Bumblebee Enamel Dot.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Smoky Slate with a stamp from the Happiest of Birthdays Stamp Set and the flower is stamped in Just Jade. I kept inking the stamp but I couldn't get full coverage on some of the letters. Maybe that's the way it's supposed to look?
