Stampin' Up! So Sentimental Meets Ornate Garden DSP

TGIF, peeps!

My card features a new product that will be featured in the upcoming Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog in June. The Ornate Garden Suite is available to demonstrators to order right now. It will be available to customers as an early release April 1, 2020.  I am using the Ornate Garden DSP today.

Here is my card front. It is from another kit I had in my stash. I swapped out the retired DSP in the kit and replaced it with the Ornate Garden DSP. This new DSP shouts "spring". Sistah Darlene has a spring theme challenge going on over at The Sisterhood of Crafters.

My design was inspired by The Paper Players: PP483. It's a sketch from Claire Broadwater.

In the February 2018 kit was a piece of ribbon and the pre-cut, pre-stamped rectangle. Here's how the it turned out back then.

and again now...

What a difference a change in design makes!

As You See It has a new challenge...

Die cut - check
Flowers - check
Ribbon - check
Something Shiny - check
Patterned Paper - check

The die is from the retired Celebrate You set. The flowers and patterned paper are, as I mentioned, from the upcoming Ornate Garden Suite, the glimmer paper of the "You" is shiny, and the ribbon is non-SU.

The inside is quite simple. I stamped the sentiment from So Sentimental in Terracotta Tile. I had a piece of DSP left over so I adhered it to the bottom.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be enjoying your weekend.

  5. Your design shows off the paper well. I like the way you've used negative space for the die cut word too - it's just a bit different and give a real sense of depth. Thanks for playing along with us at AYSI again, Karen. It's always nice to see what you've been making.

  6. Karen, I love the balanced design of your card, both with the placement of the elements and the colours you've chosen. It's very eye-pleasing. It's not always easy to combine two floral patterns, but you've done it really successfully! Thanks for playing along with As You See It Challenges!
