Stampin' Up! Peaceful Place and Bird Ballad DSP

Simply Simple Stamping Sunday, peeps. That's Connie Stewart's trademark and I'm using the Peaceful Place Stamp Set to bring you my fifth card in her One Sheet Wonder Series of eight cards.

I embossed my Thick Whisper White card base with the Subtle Embossing Folder after I had stamped it with the sentiment from Peaceful Place in Old Olive ink.

The mat for the two cut panels of Bird Ballad DSP is Old Olive card stock. I adhered everything with liquid glue. I'm not happy with my bow so I will eventually remove it and make a new one. I still haven't mastered the art of the "Billie/Mary" bow.

I left the inside blank as I have no idea how it will be used or who will be using it. If you have any ideas, I'd love to have you share them with me in a comment.

Three Amigos #27 has a challenge that ends today so I'm just getting this card in under the wire with my thing that has wings.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll return tomorrow for my Monday Makeover Madness card.

Stampin' Up! Beauty Abounds and Free As A Bird Friendship Card

THIS peeps! Thank heaven it's Saturday! Hope you are having the start of a great weekend. My son-in-love is celebrating his "over the hill" birthday tonight at a wonderful French restaurant...wish I could be there! I'm just not quite ready to fly alone yet...next year for my daughter's 50th! Some say "over the hill" is 40, some say 50, I say it continues until you can't get over the hill! Hopefully that'll be at least 90 for me.

My card today is the fourth of eight from the One Sheet Wonders and I'm using Beauty Abounds stamp set, Pool Party card stock, Old Olive card stock and the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.

The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso. The art piece is raised up with dimensionals.

For the inside, I stamped the birds from Free as a Bird in Pool Party and the sentiment from Beauty Abounds in Early Espresso.

I'm playing at little red wagon: Challenge #503 Much Ado About Nothing! If you have time, pay them a visit to see what the challenge is all about.

Do you think this is a CAS card? (clean and simple) I do so I'm entering it at Creative Friday #233.

Thanks for stopping by today. I'm still working on my special orders!! Hope I have them done by early Monday. One took me all afternoon!

Stampin' Up! Good Morning Magnolia Thinking of You Card

TGIF already, again? Wow!  Where is time going?? We are almost into July and I haven't had a chance to work on my New Year's Resolutions...oh, that's right...I didn't make any!

I used the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set to create this card to share with my Thursday card group. My inspiration came from one of my team members, Jaimie, for the way she cut the sentiment using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies and for the DSP she used. I'm pretty sure I created this for The Paper Players #447 Jaydee's sketch challenge.

My card base is Basic Black. The Petal Pink mat is cut at 3 3/4" x 5". I stamped four of the flowers on the side in Petal Pink. I used a die from the Magnolia Memories Dies to cut the flower out of a piece of Magnolia Lane DSP. The strip of different DSP from the same package measures 1 1/2" x 5". I used a scrap of Petal Pink to stamp my sentiment in Mossy Meadow and cut the edge off after I die cut it. I added the tiniest pearls from the Pearl Basic Jewels. In hindsight, I wish I hadn't used the pearls for the dotted "i's". The sentiment is adhered with mini dimensionals.

I left the inside blank so it would be able to contain a personal note. The corners are punched with the Detailed Trio punch and I adhered a 1/2" x 4" strip of the DSP at the bottom.

My favourite colour to wear is black and pink. Just to prove it's been a favorite since I was in my early 20's, take a look...
That's my brother with me and I think it was Easter Sunday. Boy, would I like to have that waist line again...and that was after having a baby!

I have more than one favorite color combo so I'm entering for the second time at Cardz 4 Galz Challenge #99.

The group knows I like to use them as guinea pigs for a lunch recipe that I have never made before. I made a BLT macaroni salad and it was pretty tasty. If you'd like the recipe, let me know. Marie Callender's Chocolate Satin pie really did taste homemade! We all had a great afternoon and in future posts, I'll be sharing other cards we made. Thank you for stopping by today and I'll see you tomorrow I hope.

Stampin' Up! Abstract Impressions and Free As A Bird for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Today we have a color challenge for our team.
Image may contain: text
This was an easy one for me because I love these colors! I can't wait to see what the other team members have created. But before we go hopping, let me show you my card!

This is the third card of eight from the One Sheet Wonder I have been mentioning the past two days.

I stamped the sentiment from Abstract Impressions in Old Olive on my Daffodil Delight card base. The Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper has Pool Party, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight in it. I mounted it on Old Olive. I used dimensionals to raise it up on the card base.

The inside is a mat of Very Vanilla on which I stamped the birds in Pool Party and the sentiment in Old Olive. The stamp sets I used are Free as a Bird and Beautiful Bouquet.

Thank you for joining me today. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Eva Dobilas. Clicking on the names below will take you directly to that team member.
