Welcome! I used the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Promenade Bundle to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today. We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it.
Here are the colors that we’re using this week:
Thank you, Jenny Hall, for the inspiration, video and encouraging me to CASE it!
I started by cutting the center using a die from the Beautiful Layers Thinlits. The leaves are cut with another die from that set. I used a scrap piece of Whisper White.
Using sponge daubers, I colored the solid inner portion of the design with Crushed Curry. Then I colored the next portion with Mint Macaron. I used the same color for the outside edge but kept sponging until I got the desired color. I sponged the leaves with Early Espresso, leaving the tips a little lighter.
Next I cut and scored my Thick Whisper White cardstock and stamped the ribbed flower twice in Crushed Curry on the center of the base. I then adhered the center piece over it with dimensionals.
I took a piece of scrap Early Espresso, stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Promenade stamp set, using an embossing buddy, Versamark ink, White Emboss powder and my heat tool. I rounded off the ends with my paper snips. I adhered that to the center piece with dimensionals. I glued the leaves with liquid multi-purpose glue. Lastly, I added Mint Macaron Faceted Dots and my card front was done.
Now for the inside...

I took a Whisper White mat and sponged the edges with Mint Macaron. I stamped the solid flower full strength with Crushed Curry. The sentiment from the same stamp set is stamped in Early Espresso.
