Stampin' Up! Beautiful World Musical Card

Good Friday morning, peeps! Today's card is another one involving music. The pianist in my current church resigned last week to pursue a new journey in life. I am missing him and wanted to encourage him so I created this card for him...

So, my colors are Boho Blue, Lemon Lolly, Night of Navy and a tad of Moody Mauve. The NON ink looks black, but it isn't. Here's the inside...

The top sentiment is from the Trucking Along Stamp Set. The second is from the retired Beautiful World Stamp Set. The keyboard is from the retired Music of the Heart Stamp Set.

Once again, I am entering my card at Joanne's color challenge at the Paper Player's PP693 challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Stampin Up! Adventure Awaits Congratulations Card

Good morning, peeps. Today's card is for my former pastor at my former church in Ft. Myers. He and his wife moved to Fayetteville, GA. I know someone else who lives there and I hope they get to meet! He plays guitar and I made some plaques (shown at the end of my post) involving guitars for him and Andrew Brunson before I left Florida. Here ya go with the card...

I've wanted to create this for quite awhile and I just finally received the Kokorosa die. The sentiment is from the retired Stampin' Up! Beautiful World.

I sponged the sky with Lemon Lolly and Moody Mauve as the additional color. The water is sponged with Boho Blue. The sentiment is Night of Navy, as is the mat. The birds are from the retired Sailing Home Stamp Set and are stamped in Night of Navy but so much of it looks like black.

For the inside...

more Boho Blue, Night of Navy and Lemon Lolly.

I'm entering my card at the Paper Players Challenge PP693 - A Colour Challenge from Joanne. The guitar is black but that is not a color :-) I hope the team agrees!

Here are photos of the plaques I made...

Andrew had his guitar confiscated when he and his wife were imprisoned in Turkey. She was released after 13 days but he was not. Upon his release, the pastor and friends had a guitar made for him to replicate what he had lost. It was given to him at a church service...not a dry eye in the place!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll return tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. There might just be another entry for the PPC!

Stampin' Up! Country Living Get Well Card

Good morning, peeps! I'm back with a music card for the Paper Players Challenge PP626. LeAnne's challenge is the theme of "There's a Song in the Air", which incidentally was my mother-in-law's favorite Christmas song.. Here's my card made with the Country Living Stamp Set and the Sheet Music Background Stamp (both retired). It's a makeover of the third one down on this post .

Be sure to visit the challenge site, okay?

I also used Copper Foil and the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder for one of the circles and a piece of retired DSP for the other. The guitar is from the retired Country Living set and is colored with Light and Dark Soft Suede Stampin' Blends. My card base is Soft Suede cardstock.

For the inside, I created a computerized sentiment and mounted it on a die cut label that I found in my stash so I have no idea from where it came. I hate it when I do that...I need to write on the back so I'll know!

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge 2305.

Monday Morning Music Moments

For those of you who follow me, you know I usually do a card that is masculine, a makeover or monochromatic on Mondays. Since Hurricane Ian, I am thankful to be alive and have the inside of my house intact. I learned a lot about myself and my faith during the Category 4 (almost 5) hurricane. My heart goes out to those who lost so much more and cringe any time they hear heavy winds, rain or thunder. It was very scary and I will never stay again.

I've decided to make my Monday's Music that carried me through the storm. There were so many songs that I played while I had power and internet and then when I lost those two commodities, I sang them out loud. My singing alone should have chased that storm away...lol.

Here are the lyrics to the song that was first and foremost in my heart, mind and spirit. I thank Hope Durst for the lyrics.
"I don't want to be afraid
Every time I face the waves
I don't want to be afraid
I don't want to be afraid
I don't want to fear the storm
Just because I hear it roar
I don't want to fear the storm
I don't want to fear the storm
Peace be still
Say the word and I will
Set my feet upon the sea
'Til I'm dancing in the deep
Peace be still
You are here so it is well
Even when my eyes can't see
I will trust the voice that speaks
I'm not gonna be afraid
'Cause these waves are only waves
I'm not gonna be afraid
No, I'm not gonna be afraid
And I'm not gonna fear the storm
You are greater than its roar
Oh, I'm not gonna fear the storm
No, I'm not gonna fear at all
Peace be still
Say the word and I will
Set my feet upon the sea
'Til I'm dancing in the deep
Peace be still
You are here so it is well
Even when my eyes can't see
I will trust the voice that speaks
Peace, peace over me
You speak peace
Let faith rise up
O heart believe
Let faith rise up in me
Let faith rise up
O heart believe
Let faith rise up in me
Let faith rise up
O heart believe
Let faith rise up in me
Let faith rise up
O heart believe
Let faith rise up in me
Peace be still
Say the word and I will
Set my feet upon the sea
'Til I'm dancing in the deep
Peace be still
You are here so it is well
Even when my eyes can't see
I will trust the voice that speaks
Peace, peace over me
I hear You speaking
Peace, peace over me
Peace over me
You speak peace
You speak peace
Over me
You speak peace
You speak peace
You speak peace"
