Stampin' Up! Thanks & Giving Plaid Tidings Birthday Card

Good Tuesday morning, stamping friends. I'm going to be completely modest about my card today...I LOVE it! LOL!! Take a look-see...

One of my friends from church is having a birthday in October and I thought this was very fitting. Her favorite color is orange. Because of that, I decided to submit it to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #302. I went straight down the left hand side. Thank you, Betty, for this great challenge!

 

My card base is Paper Pumpkin. I adhered a mat of Very Vanilla and then a mat of  Plaid Tidings DSP (retired). I had cut an extra circle from the Spotlight on Nature dies at the retreat, stamped it with Amy's Thanks & Giving Stamp Set and colored it when I got home. I sponged it with Pumpkin Pie ink.

The pumpkins are die cut with the Painted Pumpkins dies and I used Mango Melody card stock (retired) and Early Espresso scrap.

The "Hello Pumpkin" is from the 2020 Hello Pumpkin Paper Pumpkin Kit. I stamped it in Pumpkin Pie ink, sponged it and cut it out with a Stylish Shapes die.

I rarely use my Rhinestone Basic Jewels but I just thought they were very fitting for this card.

More rhinestones and plaid DSP! The pumpkin is from the aforementioned Paper Pumpkin Kit. The  "happy birthday" is from the Cutest Crew Stamp Set and the other sentiment is from the Fun for Fall Stamp Set.

I used Blends to color the pumpkin: Light & Dark Timid Tiger, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green and Pecan Pie.

Stampin' Up! Painted Patch Thinking of You Thanksgiving Card

Welcome to my Monday Morning Makeover Madness card. I haven't done that in awhile...at least I don't think I have. In any event, this card is a CASE of my card from last week and a CASE of my upline and friend, Mary. This is another card I made at our team retreat. You know, when you have someone to prepare and cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for three days, it's easy to make more cards! I only took pics of one meal, shame on me! BUT, this casserole is one that is always being requested by the attendees.

 

I was a first timer and trust me, it tasted great!

Now that I've made you hungry, here's my card...

and the inside, which is no different from most of my others...

Stampin' Up! Glow of Harvest Rustic Thinking of You at Thanksgiving Card

No, I'm not going to tell you I made this at our team retreat...oh, yes, I am...lol! I had some scraps laying on my desk so I adhered the 5 1/4" x 4" Glow of Harvest mat on my Golden Glow card base. I embossed the 5 1/4" x 1" Crumb Cake strip with the Rustic 3D EF. I had two little Cajun Craze flowers in my stash so I adhered them to the embossed strip. Next I added three 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies. Et voila, quick and easy card for one of our church shut ins.

The inside is simple as well using the Thanks & Giving sentiment stamped in Cajun Craze and another little flower from my stash.

Stampin' Up! Pretty Poisettia Glow of Harvest Thinking of You Card

Happy Friday, peeps! I made this card at the team retreat in GA. What? You're not surprised? Well, I was because I was CASEing Kim Quade and did not have a foliage die with me so I was fortunate enough to borrow a die Tara had with her. It's from the Pretty Poinsettia Dies and I had gold foil with me. Take a look-see...

Not only do I love this die, but I love the Glow of Harvest DSP paired with the Early Espresso card base. I also borrowed Tara's Spotlight on Nature Circle Die to cut out the vellum. I swear she brought her entire craft room with her...lol! I did bring my own VersaMark ink, white embossing powder, heat tool, and Stylish Shapes banner die to create the sentiment from the retired Colorful Seasons Stamp Set, which I took with me!  The embellishments are from the Painted Patch Adhesive-backed Dots.

Good morning stamping friends. I've got another card I made at our team retreat. Yes, there is no end to the retreat cards...lol! Take a look-see...

This one was brought by Becky. I think it's so pretty with the Basic Beige cardstock, accented by the Hydrangea Hue cardstock mat and the DSP mat and strips from the Bloom Boutique DSP. The balloons are cut from the 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Specialty Paper. If you would like instructions, just let me know in a comment.

Stampin' Up! Scalloped Painted Patch Thanksgiving Card

It's officially fall, yippee! Now if cooler weather would play along, I'll be quite content. I am very content with the hummingbirds outside my back porch. I just wish they'd get along and share the feeders! There's enough nectar for them all. Some must be juvies because they are REALLY tiny! I put the feeders out after I returned from my team stamping retreat in GA. Here's another card I made while I was there...

 As Mary would say, it was the "bomb diggity"! I had two helpings which is unusual for me! I am not a fan of chutney but the sauce was great.

 Doesn't look like a fun fold, does it?! Well, back in June, my upline and friend, Mary Deatherage made a card with an accordion fold on the inside. I just had to try my hand at it. I followed her design but everything is else is all me!

You can see Mary's card here and she gives you the measurements for the base, the mat and focal panel, along with pieces I didn't use, and the accordion fold.

I just love this DSP and the Rich Razzleberry color. Everything I used to make this card is retired (with the exception of the pink mat). 

Mary got this card I made along with a gazillion other congrats cards on Saturday at our retreat in Georgia. In case you didn't know, Mary just hit the million dollar mark in sales for Stampin' Up! It was a joyous occasion. Here's one pic out of many during the celebration...

Stampin' Up! Friendship Painted Pumpkins Card

Good Morning, peeps! Today's card is the kit I made for the team retreat in Georgia. I also made pillow gifts for each team member who was there. It was a fun time and you never knew what conversation topic would present itself. BUT you did know what the card kits would be and they were all wonderful as was each meal prepared by James. It was the first time I had met my teammies in person. I'm hoping to go again next year if I'm lucky enough to win the "lottery". In any event, take a look see...

Stampin' Up! A Stitched Season and Poe

Good Sunday morning, peeps! Today is the last day in Georgia at our team stamping retreat. If I get ambitious, I'll post more cards and photos in case you are interested. If not, don't look...lol!

I got my furry fix this weekend, which began on Thursday. This is Poe, one of the family the owner of the Crafty Elk Lodge has. Poe is a BIG boy!

Isn't he handsome? He is as gentle as he is handsome. I am covered with his white hair but I don't care! Wish I could take him home with me, along with the chef/owner at the Lodge! Here's one of the cards we made. This is the first card I made and it was designed by Charlene Tackvic a/k/a All Kinds of Crafty on You Tube.

I'll be adding more cards from the retreat soon but this was my first Christmas card of the year. Thanks for stopping by today.

Stampin' Up! Painted Patch Birthday

Good morning, peeps! Fall is in the air...at least on my card if not in the weather. Take a look see... 

My card base is Cajun Craze cut at 6 3/4" x 4 1/4". I scored it at 1 1/4". I sponged Cajun Craze ink on the flap using one of the Painted Pumpkins Decorative Masks.

Then I cut a piece of Painted Patch DSP to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4", put a tick mark at 1 1/4" on the top left and cut it on the diagonal.

Using the Painted Pumpkins Dies and Painted Patch DSP, I cut out five pumpkins/gourds. I also cut the leaves and tendril from Old Olive cardstock. I adhered them as seen in the photo (with one being on the inside Pool Party panel that measures 5 1/4" x 4).

I stamped the sentiment from the retired Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set in Cajun Craze ink and added embellishments from the Painted Patch Adhesive-Backed Dots.

I'm still sticking to my goal of using my retired Paper Pumpkin Kits. This one is from September 2020 named "Hello Pumpkin". I was inspired by Linda Bedinger. Everything was from the kit with the exception of the "Birthday" sentiment, which is from the retired May 2018 Manly Moments PP Kit. The cardstock is Basic Black with a mat of retired Mango Melody cardstock. The art panel is Basic White. The ink is retired Mango Melody.

 My card base is 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2. My mat is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. The squares are 1 1/4 x 1 1/4. The sentiment square is 2 7/16 x 2 7/16 and the mat is 2 9/16 x 2 9/16. Everything I used is in the chart at the end of my post.

 

For the inside... 

The inner liner is 4 x 5 1/4.

Stampin' Up! Fun Fold Birthday Card

Good morning stamping friends. Today's card is a mix of old and current SU product. The Designer Series Paper is retired but the ink, stamps, cardstock and embellishments are current. I was inspired by Jill Lancett and you can view her video here.

My card base is 10" x 5 1/2", scored at 1 1/2", 3", 4 1/2" and 6" and I used Blackberry Bliss Cardstock.

The 4 panels of DSP measure 1 1/4" x 5 1/4" and I used the retired Fresh as a Daisy DSP. Like Jill, I sponged them with Golden Glow ink.

The "mini card" measures 6" x 4", scored at 3". I used the Golden Glow 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Specialty Paper. There are two panels cut at 2 3/4" x 3 3/4". I sponged around the edges with Golden Glow ink. I also fussy cut flowers, sponged them with the same ink and adhered them with liquid glue. The way you adhere the mini card is self-explantory from the photo.

The sentiments are from (in order of appearance) Lily of the Valley, Fern & Flora and Painted Pumpkins. They are all stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink.

The inside panel is Very Vanilla cardstock which measures 3 3/4" x 5 1/4".

Let's take a closer look...

I was inspired by my friend, upline and teammate (one and the same), with her card she created here.

My card base is Basic Black 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2". I adhered a mat of Calypso Coral 4" x 5 1/4".

Next I cut a piece of Basic White 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" and embossed it with the Sunflower 3D EF. I adhered that to the card front.

I cut another mat of Calypso Coral to 3 3/8" x 3 3/8" and adhered that to the front. Next I followed Mary's video to watch her technique but I'll try to tell you here. I cut a piece of Basic White that was 3 1/2" x 3 1/2", used my Blending Brush to lay on coats of Calypso Coral and Cajun Craze inks. Then I put it in the EF, taped the sides ever so slightly so it wouldn't move in the folder. After I ran it through my embossing machine, I covered the inside front of the folder with Basic Black ink and ran it through again. I removed the panel and cut it down to 3 1/4" x 3 1/4", adhering it to the Calypso Coral mat.

So far, I've used everything that was current product but then I remembered I had pretty organdy 1/4" Grapefruit Grove Ribbon (retired) and I just had to use it under the sentiment that came from the Lily of the Valley Stamp Set. I stamped the frame around with a stamp from the Fern & Flora Stamp Set and cut it out with a die from the matching set. The three moths are also from that stamp set and dies. The top two inside sentiments are from Fern & Flora. The "happiest birthday wishes" greeting is from the Phrases & Frames Stamp Set. I know you can figure out the inks I used :-)
