Stampin' Up! Bistro Burger Birthday Card

Good morning, peeps. I bet a lot of you are glad it's Friday. Since the weekend is arriving, perhaps you'll be having a picnic? Want a tiny peek at what I'll be having?

Inspired By invited me to go on a picnic with them  and I was inspired by their checkered napkins.

Hopefully,
will consider the reds, orange, yellow and greens, bright colors as I did incorporate the stripes on the french fry box and there are a number of layers involved (right side down for the challenge). Let's take a bigger look see...

I was inspired by the card Marcie Besecker created here. Thank you, Marcie!

For the inside...

I made this for my son-in-love who just turned 55. Because I like puns, I opted not to use the "deal" part of the sentiment, I substituted a "dill" pickle. I thank you for stopping by today.

Stampin' Up! Latte Love Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came! We have a color challenge today and here is what I created for our hop...

I used Basic Beige, Petal Pink, Pecan Pie and Pool Party for my colors.
I'm entering my card in Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge where I used to be on the Design Team. I don't miss working with digitals, but I do miss the teams! I also have nothing from Beccy's Place so it's worth a shot at the prize! Y'all go give Pammie some support, please!

Measurements and basic instructions:
Base 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 4 1/4" and 5 1/2". Place card base in the trimmer so that the 4 1/4" section is on the right side of the 11" edge. Score diagonally from the bottom of the 4 1/4" score line to the upper right corner of the 11" edge. Fold and burnish. Adhere the portion between the 4 1/4" and 5 1/2" score lines together to create the book binding.

Mat for book bound section: 1 1/8" x 4 1/8"; DSP 1" x 4"
Mat for the "square" section: 4 1/8" x 4 1/8"; emboss  and adhere to the bottom diagonal section only.
Right side mat and DSP are same measurements as book bound section. Adhere them to the embossed panel.
Solid cardstock: 2" x 3 1/4"; stamp coffee splotch 2nd generation; adhere to embossed panel
DSP: 2 1/2" x 2 3/4" and adhere leaving 1/8" on edge of embossed panel

Stampin' Up! Flight & Airy Birthday Card

I'm a little behind the eight ball here with posting my card for today. It took me awhile to figure out what papers and cardstock to use to achieve my quilt look. Fortunately, I got it done in time to enter it in the As You Like It Challenge...Words or No Words. I chose to use words because of the layout of my quilt at the top. Take a look see...

I followed a video by Deb Valder on You Tube for the quilt design. I used Thick Basic White Cardstock, Boho Blue, Calypso Coral, Fresh Freesia and Soft Sea Foam cardstocks. My DSP is retired Flight & Airy and a Misty Moonlight DSP that is also retired. The embossing folder I used on the Fresh Freesia and Soft Sea Foam is the Elegant Eucalyptus 3D EF, which is retired.

The mat and my sentiment, from the retired Itty Bitty Greetings, are cut using the Perennial Postage Dies. The flowers are from the Citrus Blooms Stamp Set.

For the inside...

I stamped the sentiment from the Hooray for Surprises Stamp Set, the birdhouse from the Country Birdhouse Stamp Set and fussy cut the bird from Flight & Airy.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our monthly Stampin' Up! Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! Friends

Good morning, peeps! Yesterday marked two weeks that I've been without Chester. I thought I'd show you some of the cards I received from my stamping friends. Along with those, I took some pics of the moon rising last night. This is not a bad moon rising as in the song by Credence Clearwater Revival. (You're welcome for the earworm!) For some reason I always thought the song was called "There's a pale moon on the rise." Anyone else think that? But, I digress...take a look see at the thoughtful people in my life...

From left to right bottom - Mary Deatherage and Pamela Cook

2nd row - Debbie Mageed, Sue Morton, Deb Shapiro

top row - Rockie Wilkins, Rosie Kean

I appreciate y'all. The next pic is the box that Chester's ashes are in. It was a gift from the Crematory. They do that for every pet owner. Amazing!

Now, on the brighter and lighter side...

Moon peeking through tree line

Pale moon rising

Risen!

There is a lot to be said about a full moon! I just stood amazed and began to sing another song sung by Chris Tomlin!

Thank you for stopping by today and have a blessed weekend.

Truth be told, this is my template for my first try. I know I'll be making another so stay tuned! I mailed it to someone I hope will create it in her own video! She might even be participating in this hop!!
