I used the Trees for Sale Stamp Set to create my card for today's blog hop, which is a sketch challenge.
Here is what I created for it...
The shape is created from a 5" x 3 3/4" piece of Basic White that has the ombre effect using Stampin' Blends. The inks I used to create my ombre are Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz, and Old Olive. For the trees I used Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. I put light pencil marks at 2 1/2" top and bottom on the 5" side, then 1" up from the bottom and down from the top on each 3 3/4" side. I cut from the center marks diagonally to the side tick marks.
The light strand, poles, dog and sign are stamped in Smoky Slate. I added Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Rhinestone Basic Jewels for the lights.
Before I adhered the art panel to the card base, I stamped snowflakes at the top of the base using VersaMark Ink. It's difficult to see in the photo but it looks good IRL. I also added Snowfall Accents Puff Paste to the bottom to create melting snow piles.
My sentiment cardstock is Parakeet Party cut at 2" x 1 1/4" and it's stamped with Evening Evergreen. I have not done stitches free hand in a long time so I thought it needed that, along with a Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewel.
For the inside, I sponged a piece of Basic White with Evening Evergreen, repeated the light strand but colored the bulbs with a variety of Stampin' Blends. The sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen. I ran it through my embossing machine, along with a mat of Soft Succulent, using the Wintry 3D EF. I left 1/3rd of the white piece un-embossed for a smooth surface if someone wanted to write a message. There was a method to my madness because I wanted to enter my card in the Let's Squash It Challenge #24.
I'm also entering my card in the Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge #479 - Hey (h)Ombre.
