Stampin' Up! Daisy Garden Sympathy Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. This week we have a color challenge.

Here is what I created for it...

My card base is Basic White Cardstock with a mat of Real Red Cardstock that I dry embossed with the Macrame 3D EF. I adhered that to the base with liquid glue.

Next I cut a piece of Basic White with a die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. I put it in my Stamparatus and stamped the Daisy Garden Background Stamp using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I did that with another rectangle the same size. I decided what part of the image I wanted to "spotlight" and cut that out with a circle from the Layering Circle Dies. I cut an Early Espresso scalloped mat for it with the same die set.

I colored my spotlight with Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends, Light and Dark Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends, Early Espresso Watercolor Pencil and blended the center with my Blender Pen. I'm hoping a neutral was allowed as I colored the white background with my Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend. I adhered the colored image to the scalloped mat.

Then I made a bow with Double-Stitched Real Red Ribbon. I made another bow with the white Baker's Twine Essentials Pack. I adhered it to the red bow with a glue dot and the red bow to the card front with a glue dot. (Thank you Jacque Williams for the inspiration!)

For the inside, I stamped two sentiments from the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set in Cinnamon Cider on a panel of Basic White. I punched the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch and adhered it to a mat of Real Red.

Since this was the first time I had used the Daisy Garden Stamp, I'm entering my card in the NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) Challenge #32. Thanks for taking time out of your day to hop with us.
