Stampin' Up! In Good Taste Designer Series Paper Thanksgiving Card

There are 33 days left until Thanksgiving so I thought I better get working on my Thanksgiving cards. Do you send turkey day cards? Do you eat turkey? My son always roasted a whole turkey but this year I'll be doing just a breast with stuffing and creamed onions. I can skip the mashed potatoes this time as well as the pumpkin pie. One person can only eat so much!

Barb provided the kit at our Thursday Card Group. The card base is Very Vanilla. The DSP from In Good Taste is adhered to a mat of retired Chocolate Chip cardstock.

Barb had Thanksgiving napkins so we did the napkin technique for the truck filled with pumpkins and the basket filled with sunflowers. You can see cards I did in the past with the napkin technique here and here. However, this time we didn't use saran wrap and an iron. We used SU's Adhesive Sheets! Much easier!! Once we had the napkin (single ply) on the adhesive sheet, we adhered it to a panel of Basic White cardstock. You can either fold the edges over and miter the corners or you can cut off the edges if you know it's glued good to the edges. We adhered that panel to a piece of Chocolate Chip and adhered that to the front of the card.

The sentiment mat is cut out with a die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I stamped the sentiment, from a defunct company, with Early Espresso ink and fussy cut it. I adhered it with liquid glue to the rectangle and the rectangle to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The inside is stamped in Chocolate Chip with a Stampendous stamp.

The Chocolate Chip mat is 5 1/4" x 4" and the white panel is 5" x 3 3/4".
