Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. This week we have a theme challenge. If this is your first time here, welcome! If not, welcome back!! Either way, you're in for a treat!!! I used the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set to create my card for today.
I was inspired by Sketch Saturday #676
Cajun Craze is my orange and Bumblebee is my yellow. I began with a card base of Cajun Craze cardstock. I added a mat of Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper. Then I ran a piece of Bumblebee cardstock through my embossing machine using the Tasteful Textiles 3D EF.
Next I stamped and cut two trees with the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set and coordinating Beautiful Trees Dies. I adhered one with liquid glue and the other with Stampin' Dimensionals. I cut off the edge to conform to the sketch. The tree leaves section is a two-step stamp and I used Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry ink pads.
I stamped the sentiment from Banner Year in Crumb Cake ink (close to "Kraft") and cut it out with another die from the Beautiful Trees Dies. I adhered it to the card front with liquid glue and made a bow from Linen Thread.
For the inside, I stamped off once for each part of the tree and stamped the sentiment full strength.
The birds from the Beautiful Trees Dies are cut from Crumb Cake cardstock. I adhered them with glue dots.
