Stampin' Up! Wild Cats Fun Fold Card

Good Tuesday morning, peeps. My card today is a side step fun fold. I haven't made one of these in ages. I hope you'll like it.

My card base is Mossy Meadow and the patterned paper is some I had in my stash from JoAnn's years ago. The stamp set I used is the new Wild Cats and it has matching dies. You can purchase them as a bundle and save 10%. The tiger and plants are cut with the Cats Dies. He is stamped in Crumb Cake and his face/stripes are Early Espresso.

The sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow and cut with a die from the Tasteful Labels Dies. I adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Here's a view looking down at it.

Create your base: (measurements are in inches)

Cut your Mossy Meadow cardstock 5 1/2 x 8 1/2

Place that in your trimmer (portrait) with the left edge of the cardstock at 2 1/2 mark

Carefully cut from 2 1/8 to the 7 5/8 marks on your trimmer blade part

Rotate the cardstock counter clockwise and SCORE to the slit at 2 1/8, 5 1/2, 6 3/4 and 7 5/8 BUT score at 4 1/4 all the way across

Fold and burnish at the 4 1/4 line and then on the other score marks to create the steps (doing accordion folds)

Cut:

Early Espresso Mats: 2 3/8 x 4 1/8 (sentiment panel); 2 7/8 x 1 7/8 (top step); 2 7/8 x 1 1/8 (middle step); 2 7/8 x 7/8 (bottom step)

Patterned Paper: 2 1/4 x 4 (sentiment panel); 2 3/4 x 1 3/4 (top step); 2 3/4 x 1 (middle step); 2 3/4 x 3/4 (bottom step)

Adhere your patterned paper (a/k/a "snippets") to the mats and then adhere to main panel and steps.

I added 5 gold metallic pearls to give it a more feminine look.

Try it with a sheet of copy paper first to be sure it all works out. There are also videos on You Tube with variations of this fold.

I'm entering my card in the Creative Creases Fun Fold #9 Challenge.

I'm also playing at Pixie's Snippets Playground Challenge #405. She has a nice prize I'd enjoy winning! I would be remiss not to enter Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper June 2021 challenge as well!

Thank you for visiting today and I hope you'll try this fun fold. Let me know if you do. I'd love to see a photo of your work.
