Guess what day it is peeps? Are you happier than a camel on Wednesday? That Geico ad still cracks me up! If you are at work, let me transport you to the beach...
I used the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set to create my card. My colors are Petal Pink, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Basic White. The technique I used for the square is called watercolor block stamping or faux watercoloring. I've done this technique before and this time I used SU's D Block, Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake ink pads. I pressed both ink pads on the block, spritzed it with water and pressed the block on the paper. I let it thoroughly dry while I created the inside of my card, which I'll show you in a bit. When it was dry I stamped the sentiment and stamped the "splatter" stamp wherever I thought it looked good! I stamped the shells in Petal Pink on scrap Basic White and fussy cut them. I adhered them with Stampin' Dimensionals.
For the inside, I used a piece of Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper. The sentiments are stamped with Sahara Sand ink.
I'm entering my card in the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP297 - By the Sea.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our weekly Happy Inkin' Krew Thursday Blog Hop.
"I have the world's largest collection of seashells. I keep it on all the beaches of the world... perhaps you've seen it."
