Stampin' Up! Hydrangea Hill Many Messages Hello

Welcome back to another monthly Amy's Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! If this is your first time to join in on our hop, you're in for a treat! Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products. This month we are all creating projects with a “for the girls/ladies” theme. We can interpret that any way we want and I have chosen to think flowers and making draperies!  I’m featuring the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper and the Many Messages Stamp Set with matching die.

My card is a Double Curtain Fold based on a card by Julie DeGuia.

My base (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") is Misty Moonlight with a mat of Highland Heather (4" x 5 1/4") which has been dry embossed with the Dainty Diamonds 3D EF. The Designer Series Paper for the curtain or drapery fold is from Hydrangea Hill DSP 12" x 12".

I ran a piece of Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon across the fold and mat and secured it on the back with tape then adhered the mat to the base with liquid glue. I had the sentiment on my desk from the Many Messages Stamp Set so all I had to do was sponge the edges with Gorgeous Grape ink.. I adhered it to the ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals. Three Playing with Patterns Resin Dots finished off the card front.

If you haven't tried this fold, I hope you'll give it a try. I'm entering my card in Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge April 2021.

DSP: 10: x 5 3/8", score on the long side at: 1", 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 3", 4", 4 1/2:, 5 1/2", 6", 7:, 7 1/2", 8 1/2" and 9"

Mark the DSP with a pencil on the long sides at 4 1/2" and 5 1/2".

Mark the DSP with a pencil on the short sides at 2 3/16" and 3 3/16 (I know I hate 16ths too!)

Line up the paper to each set of pencil marks in your trimmer to cut a diagonal shape. Cut from the long side to the short side. (4 1/2" to the 2 3/16", then 5 1/2" to 2 3/16"; then 3 3/16" to 4 1/2" and 3 3/16" to 5 1/2") Hope that makes sense!

At the 5 1/2" score, start folding in and then out, then in, then out, etc., until you've reached the end. Do the same at the other side starting at the 4 1/2" score. Be sure to use your bone folder to crease the folds. There are plenty of videos on You Tube to help even though the measurements might be different.

    1. Thank you...me too. I almost used the peeks side as the main focus. Maybe I'll try that!
