Stampin' Up! Tasteful Touches

Oh, let's go with a Monday Makeover Madness card again! Today's card looks like this...

I created this for my P.E.O. Chapter FT as they made a donation to Cottey College in memory of my son. One of my teammates is a P.E.O. in another state. P.E.O. is an international organization that helps women with scholarships. You can read more about it here. Savannah Guthrie was a recipient of one of our scholarships and you can see her interview here.

So, this is what it looked like before I CASE'd it...

My colors are Just Jade and Bumblebee. I especially love the Forever Gold Specialty Paper in place of the ribbon ($12 while supplies last).

The Flowers for Every Season DSP is $6.90 while supplies last.

The Chapter letters are cut out with the Playful Alphabet Dies and  Foam Adhesive Sheets.

I am playing today at Double Trouble Paper Crafting Challenge #80 and I'm playing along with Thing 1 and Thing 2 The previous partner I have chosen is Crafting Happiness Challenge #90. I hope you have time to check out their fun challenges. I'm also entering my card at Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper March 2021.

Stampin' Up! Let it Ride Retirement

Good Sunday morning, peeps! Hope you are having a great weekend. Yesterday I had my brother and sister-in-law here and we had a chicken barbeque. It was my first time grilling on a charcoal fire. It turned out great! I had votes of confidence from my friend and upline, Mary, and another from my daughter!

My card today is dedicated to Mary to remind her of the day she retired! The Barn Door Stamp Set and Let It Ride Stamp Set are both retired but I love them and will keep them!

The Braided Linen Trim for the lasso will be retiring ($5.60). The Layering Ovals will be retiring along with the Classic Label Punch ($14.40). The "happy" is from the Well Written Dies (retiring) and the "retirement" is from the Well Said Stamp Set (retiring). This card is perfect for retirement, don't you think?

The inside is printed from my computer and die cut with another Layering Oval die. If you would like to see all the product that Stampin' Up! is retiring, just click on this link. You'll find some great bargains! I'd love it if you'd shop with me!

I'm entering this card in the Alphabet Challenge - "Z" is for Zoology and Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #154.

Thank you for stopping by today and if you have questions, I'll be happy to answer them. Just leave me a comment or email me.

Stampin' Up! Tasteful Touches for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. This week we have a theme challenge. If this is your first time here, welcome! If not, welcome back!!

I used the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set and Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper to create my card for the challenge.

I don't know what type of flowers these are but I do think they remind me of springtime!

My card base is Bumblebee cardstock with a mat of Cinnamon Cider cardstock and a panel of Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper. I'm entering my card at Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge March 2021.

I cut out a piece of gold foil and a sentiment panel with my Stitched Rectangles Dies. Before I adhered them to the card front I used a piece of Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon to give the card a little more interest. I also added three 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will have time to check out the projects my team mates have created. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects.

Stampin' Up! Wildly Happy Easter Card

Good morning! Are you happy it's mid-week? IIt doesn't matter to me because I'm just happy I made an Easter card with the Wildly Happy Stamp Set to enter in the challenge at Inspire.Create #086 AND I CASED one of the DT members, Jo Blackman. Thank you, Jo, for your inspiration! The challenge at Cuttlebug Mania is to use a bunny on the card and also ModSquad Springtime Bunnies . Here's how mine turned out...

I'm also entering my card at Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #360 as I used their colors.

My card base is Basic White cardstock with a mat of Pear Pizzazz. I cut another piece of Basic White and embossed it with the 3D Lace Embossing Folder using my Cuttlebug. They are all adhered with liquid glue.

I stamped the bunnies in Crumb Cake ink and colored them with my Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends. I used my Water Painter and Pear Pizzazz ink pad to add grass underneath the bunnies. Using my Cuttlebug again, I cut the bunnies out with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and sponged the edges with So Saffron ink. I stamped the eggs with a stamp from the Arrange A Wreath Stamp Set in the challenge colors and cut them with a die from the Wreath Builder Dies. The Pear Pizzazz sentiment is from Arrange A Wreath and I cut it out with a die from the Ornate Frames set. I adhered three Rhinestone Basic Jewels and adhered everything with liquid glue.

For the inside I used a retired stamp set, Easter Message. I stamped the cross in Crumb Cake and the sentiment in Highland Heather. I used my Stamparatus four times in order to get it darker. In hindsight, I should have stamped the cross second generation. I sponged the top with So Saffron and the bottom with Pear Pizzazz.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you'll return tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! Tasteful Touches Masculine Card

Good Sunday morning, peeps! Hope you are having a splendid weekend. The weather here in SWFL has been perfect. It's so nice to have the windows and doors open with no humidity. But enough about the weather when it's a feather I want to talk about!

Yes, my card today was made so I could play at Inkspirational.
Here is what I created for it...
My card base is Cinnamon Cider cardstock and layered with Just Jade and a piece of Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper.

I stamped the feathers on Basic White with Just Jade, Bumblebee and Cinnamon Cider inks. I fussy cut them with my paper snips but that is not my strong suit!

The sentiment is stamped in Cinnamon Cider and cut out with a die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies set. The gold foil rectangle is cut with the next largest die. I added a couple of 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots to complete the front.

My card is for a friend who has helped me tremendously with cutting palm fronds off a coconut tree that is about 50' tall right next to my screened in spa area. The branches and coconuts were falling but missing the screening. Had they landed on the cage, I would have lost part of my house. I wish I had taken a video of all that he did to make Chester and the house safe. The spa area is where Chester loves to sit and lay in the sun. Soon he (not Chester!) and a friend will be removing the tree as it is impossible to cut anything more without a bucket ladder truck. My friend IS the best and so is his wife!! They will only accept a home cooked meal for anything they do for me...AND I do love to cook!

Thank you for visiting today and I hope you have a beautiful day. I am making beef stroganoff and a spinach salad for friends who are coming in to help me with the stereo/TV system my son set up. It's hard to believe it's been two months since he passed. Learning to live life without him and my husband (going on 28 months) is not an easy road so I leave you with this thought...

Stampin' Up! Beauty Abounds for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop. This week we have a sketch challenge. If this is your first time here, welcome! If not, welcome back!!

I used the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set and Country Home Stamp Set to create my card today.

Here is our sketch...
My card base is Sahara Sand with a mat of Butterfly Bijou DSP. I cut the oval mat and another pattern of the Bijou with my Layering Oval Dies. I used the Butterfly Beauty Dies to cut the Sahara Sand Love You Always Foil Sheet sprigs. I stamped a butterfly on the DSP oval using Sahara Sand ink.

I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Basic White cardstock and cut it out with a die from the Ornate Frames. It's adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment from Country Home in Sahara Sand ink on a piece of Butterfly Bijou DSP and matted it on a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock. The butterfly is from Beauty Abounds.

Because both stamp sets are over a year old, I am entering my card in the challenge at Retro Rubber

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will have time to check out the projects my team mates have created. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects.
