Stampin' Up Many Mates Thank You Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a theme challenge.

The theme at Just Us Girls Word Weed #556 is also plaid!

Unfortunately, I did not have any current plaid DSP but mine will be arriving today in NC via UPS! However, not wanting to miss being part of the hop today, I created my own!

I took a piece of paper from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper and drew lines using a ruler and my Stampin' Writer Markers. It's not the most even plaid I've ever seen, but it's plaid! The DSP had lines in already so I just added Pretty Peacock, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie.

I wrapped a 6 1/2" piece of Old Olive ribbon from the All the Trimmings pack around the plaid and adhered it on the back of the panel with tape. I adhered the panel to an Old Olive card base and tied another tiny piece of ribbon into a faux bow.

Using two of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, I cut a mat of Pumpkin Pie, and a sentiment piece of Very Vanilla. I didn't bring any sponges or daubers with me to NC. So, I used a makeup brush to apply Bumblebee Ink around the edges and over the front after I had stamped the sentiment from the Many Mates Stamp Set. I used Pretty Peacock Ink for that. I adhered the sentiment to the mat with liquid glue and the mat to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Three 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots finished off the front.

For the inside I used a sentiment from the Well Said Stamp Set and two image stamps from the Grace's Garden Stamp Set. This is the first time I have used Grace's Garden so I'm entering my card at NBUS #19 and 2 Crafty Critter Crazies #43. I know my critters are tiny, but they're not obscure!

The kitty is being generous by not eating the bird...how thoughtful! I adhered the art panel to a mat of Bumblebee Card Stock.

I decorated the envelope flap with a piece of Flowers for Every Season DSP and stamped flowers on the front from Grace's Garden. I colored three of the flowers with my Light Mango Melody Stampin' Blends.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and thank you for joining the hop. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names below will take you directly to the other team members and their projects.
