Stampin' Up! Perfectly Plaid Christmas Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Perfectly Plaid Bundle to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop, along with the Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set. We’ve got a sketch challenge this week...

and here is what I created for it ...

We've added two new hoppers for our Thursday hop...Karen K. and Akiko. Welcome!

Cherry Cobbler Card Base - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Wrapped in Plaid DSP 3" x 5 1/2"
Whisper White Layering Circles Die 3"
Ho Ho Ho - Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set (I cut off one      "Ho" to stamp the sentiment three times)
Pine Tree Punch - Wrapped in Plaid DSP

For the inside...

Santa & "Love,Santa" Sentiment - Holly Jolly     Christmas Stamp Set
Cherry Cobbler Light and Dark Blends for suit
Ivory Blend for face
Smoky Slate Light and Dark Blends for belt buckle
Light Crumb Cake Blend for gloves (should have used Black!)
Light Black Blend for belt and boots

I didn't color the bag nor the presents because the recipient loves to color!

Today I'm playing at Time Out Challenges #147 as Santa gives real belly laughs!

I hope you enjoyed my card today and thank you for joining the hop. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Eva Dobilas. Clicking on the names below will take you directly to the other team members and their projects.

  1. Karen, what a sweet card this is! Love the Ho Ho Ho around the tree and the Santa on the inside!

    1. Thank you, Eva. I hate to cut my stamps but sometimes it needed!

  2. What a cute card! Love the plaid pine tree and your Santa inside is too cute! :)

  3. Fun card, Karen - love your plaid tree taking center stage!! Great design! :)

  4. Love this Karen :) and I absolutely love the inside too!!

  5. working on this card now. Really cute design. But can you clarify--what color did you use for the belt buckle. Basic Gray doesn't seem to exist.

    1. You are so right! It was Smokey Slate Light and Dark Blends. Thank you for catching that! I've made the correction in my post.

    2. Great--that's the one I had pulled but wasn't sure if it was right. Thanks so much for the response.

  6. Your so good having something in the middle of your card, which I never do and makes it more interesting. The Santa is beautifully coloured and love how his red matches the red used on the card front. The papers you used are fantastic and the hint of gold in the tree just catches the eye. I'm so glad you shared this with us at TIME OUT!

  7. Wonderful....seeing you sweet Santa makes me smile from ear to ear! Thank you so much for playing along with us at Time Out!

  8. The traditional Christmas colors look great in your card, I love the background you created! Thank you for joining us at Time Out!
