Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree

My friend and I will be doing a class at the end of this month for beginners. This is one I think will be easy for them but I will be using different colors and different patterned paper. The tree is from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set and that's the first set I bought when I started stamping back in 2011.

My card base is Mossy Meadow and the patterned mat is from the retired Color Theory stack.

I stamped the tree on a piece of Whisper White using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I took a stamp from the retired Work of Art set and stamped up from the bottom with Mossy Meadow ink but not reinking the stamp. I used my Stamparatus and it worked out perfectly. Stinkin' Inkers - Lovely as a Tree Challenge is quite appropriate for this card!

The sentiment is from the Vertical Greetings set and that, too, is stamped in Mossy Meadow.

Old Olive 1/8" Sheer Ribbon was used for the bow and I attached it with a glue dot.

The inside has a hand-written sentiment to my daughter.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll return tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop.

  1. "Lovely" card. This was also my first stamp that I purchased from Stampin' Up. I have only been a cardmaker for a few years.
