Stampin' Up! High Tide for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to our weekly blog hop. This week we have a color challenge...

and here is what I created for it using the High Tide stamp set.

I decided to use the sunburst (a/k/a starburst) technique. I explained how to do this here.

My Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from  Tranquil Textures. I used an aqua painter to create the sky. The partial scalloped circle is a die cut from Stampin' Up's Layering Circles.

Here's the inside...

The ombre effect with the sentiments was a mistake but I kind of like it. Although we only had two blues to work with, I believe I created at least four different shades with the paper and ink. Therefore, I'm playing at Cuttlebug Mania's We Are Not Blue Challenge

Thanks for stopping by and now on with the hop! Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Julie Johnston or you can click on the blue links.

  3. Cool card, Karen! Your sunburst effect makes me think of the light rays going out from the lighthouse.
