Stampin' Up! - Christmas Pines

Yes, it is time to start making your Christmas cards. Time flies and Christmas will be here before you know it. So, to help you out...

and to help me out...

The holly is the smallest stamp and, along with the sentiments, it is from the Christmas Pines stamp set.

First I stamped the holly in Garden Green using Dawn Olchefske's template/Stamparatus method (see below). I stamped the sentiments in Lovely Lipstick. I added retired Real Red enamel dots and then drew the actual wreath by hand using my Garden Green Stampin' Write marker. Next time I will stamp a circle first, then add the holly...if there is a next time!

My card base is Garden Green. The mat is retired This Christmas DSP. I used the Layering Squares Framelits for my squares. The scalloped mat behind the Whisper White art panel is Garden Green. You can barely see it in the photo.  Rather than reinvent the wreath...I mean wheel...here's a link to a wonderful tutorial by DO Stamping, which will show you how I stamped the holly and outer edge sentiments.

Over at the Watercooler, Gail's got an "All About Occasions" challenge, WWC174. Christmas is quite a special occasion for me!

I hope you have the time to visit the challenge sites and thanks for stopping by today. C ya!

  1. A great focal wreath, and the foliage paper works wonderfully with it. I really like the warm tones you've chosen too. Thanks for joining in with the 52CCT.
