I decided I really didn't like my Spooky Cat from this morning and at the suggestion of a couple of my team members, I added Tangerine Tango splatters using a stamp from the retired Gorgeous Grunge. I deleted my original card from the challenges and have revisited them! I have also deleted my former post and incorporated it into this one!
You are absolutely right, there is not really a spooky cat on my card!

but, there are cat eyes and things cat's like to chase!
Spider webs, spiders, and potions...I hope I can work my magic potion on CAS Colours and Sketches #244
This challenge is so difficult for me because you have to have lots of white space, little to no embellishments, and minimal layers! That's where the potion comes into play...I have two layers, my Crushed Curry mat (5 1/4 x 4); my white layer (5 x 3 3/4), sponged with Basic Black on the edges to give it a little more depth; and my Basic Black card base. Hope that is considered minimal! I do think I followed the sketch closely.
WWYS #137
What Will You Stamp #137 Challenge is using the Spooky Cat Photopolymer Stamp Set for their challenge this week. Everything I stamped is from that set, with the exception of "boo".
and
SUO #185
is the last challenge I have entered for today. This is truly my favorite Halloween stamp set. I don't usually make Halloween cards, but this year I fell in love with the not-so-Spooky Cat!
Thanks for looking!
Thanks for looking!
Cute card! Love the addition of the orange splatters. :)
ReplyDeleteI love how you've used just the cat's features, it reminds my of my own cat hiding and waiting to pounce. Thanks for joining the What Will You Stamp? challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteFun card. I like the splash of grunge. Thanks for playing along with us at CC&S!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Karen. I wasn't sure the splash would take away from being CAS.
DeleteSimple and fun. The cat's eyes remind me of the cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Fiona. Now that you mention it, it does!
DeleteLove you have combined both challenges, love the little eyes lerking. Thanks for playing along with us at WWYS this week
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute and quirky card! Thanks for sharing with us at CC&S!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great way to use lots of stamps from the same set. And a great contribution to our challenge to use your favourite new item from the holiday catalogue. I'm so glad you joined the fun at SUO challenges.
ReplyDeleteSpooky and scary card with the hanging items! Thanks for playing along with the Favorite Holiday Catalog theme this week on SUO Challenges.
