Giving Thanks Blog Hop

Stampin' Up! Vintage Leaves for the Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

This is my second Team Blog Hop and I can't begin to tell you how much fun this is and how wonderful our team is. Be sure you visit all the blog hoppers below if you have time...you will be glad you did.

As you saw from my title, the theme of our blog hop for this month is giving thanks. I have so much to be thankful for but one main thing is that on this particular post, I don't have to worry about Irma. However, there are others out there lurking...already up to "O". So without further ado and before another tropical depression, tropical storm, tropical wave OR a hurricane decides to show up on our doorstep, here's my card...

My card base is a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Early Espresso. I stamped a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Very Vanilla with stamps from Vintage Leaves. I used Cajun Craze for the maple leaf and Peek-a-boo Peach for the oak leaves.

The acorns are from the Painted Harvest stamp set. I stamped the top of the acorn in Soft Suede and the bottom in Sahara Sand. The sentiment, also from Painted Harvest, is stamped in Early Espresso. I sponged the edges with Soft Suede. I adhered it to a mat of Gold Foil 5 1/4 x 4.

On the maple leaf, I adhered a gold die cut maple leaf from the September 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit. If you don't have that particular kit, you can use the die from Seasonal Layers Framelits Thinlits dies.

For the inside, I cut a Gold Foil mat at 5 1/4 x 3 3/4 to which I adhered a mat of Very Vanilla 5 x 3 1/2.  I sponged the edges and face of the Very Vanilla mat with Soft Suede. With Early Espresso, I stamped the sentiment, using another stamp from Painted Harvest.

Next time you see me hop, I should have better links to my products and a better recipe...but until then, hop along to the other creative bloggers by clicking on the buttons or names below.

  1. So pretty Karen! Your leaves are perfectly stamped and I love the foil touches. So thankful that we're not dealing with the remnants of that crazy hurricane this month too! :)
